You can use this simple method that I am.

Take backup of production with rman:

{

overlap archivelog all;

backup format compressed backupset database tag PROD_FULLBKP ' / u10/PROD1_L0_BKUP_20131125/PROD_DB_set%s_piece%p_%T_%U' filesperset 15;

SQL 'alter database backup controlfile to trace. "

SQL 'alter system switch logfile;

SQL 'alter system switch logfile;

SQL 'alter system switch logfile;

overlap archivelog all;

backup as compressed backupset archivelog all delete input PROD_ARCHBKP format tag ' / u10//PROD1_L0_BKUP_20131125/ARCH_PROD_set%s_piece%p_%T_%U' filesperset 20;

backup format ' / u10/PROD1_L0_BKUP_20131125/PROD_ctl_%T_%U' current controlfile;

}

Move the backup on the test server:

SCP /ftp

Modify the pfile to the test server:

Parameters such as:

db_name

control_files

modify the pfile to match the location of the test server

Add this parameter

db_file_name_convert = ' / PROD_datafile_location/datafile ', ' / test_datafile_location / data ', ' / PROD_datafile_location/tempfile ', ' / test_datafile_location / data.

log_file_name_convert = ' / PROD_redofile_location/ONLINELOG ', ' / test_redofile_location / data ".

Start the DB:

Start the db in nomount:

startup nomount.

Connecting to rman and start to restore:

Auxiliary RMAN.

I am recording the Onyx2 PowerCLI 4.1 vSphere client format output. I'm trying to run a NetApp Flexclone of deployment using the commissioning of NetApp & cloning - create quick "clone" from the context menu.
As I went through the wizard Flexclone, all right, but when I finished the wizard vSphere watch clone task works, but there is no output in the window of Onyx 2.0.
Is it possible to capture this information in Onyx, I need to automate / schedule a task to do this on a daily basis.
Any help is appreciated.

in fact I wonder when I read oracle metalink doc 406982.1 which is the cloning clone Oracle apps R12 quick help clone, but nowhere that they mention what is rapid...

I thought it would be a utility like patching made us through patching utilities OAM. but just copy files from source to the target system, and that's all it is fast clone... is it good?

We only need to run the adpreclone utility then someone can you please tell me what is quick clone is exactly and how can we clone applications using the oracle applications Manager?

It is not necessary to stop the application layer services to run the automatic configuration service. Take it this way; the minimum requirement to run the automatic configuration service is to have the database and the database listener operational.

I am facing incompatibility with perl versions

This is the error

Perl lib (5.10.0) version does not match the executable version (v5.8.8)

It comes just ahead of the adclone.pl

My OS in rhel5
Perl - v
gives 5.8.8

EBS is 12.1.2 and 11.2.0.1 DB

Quick clone R12 - Port number

Hi all
I placed in the pool of bad port on the database layer and now my application layer will not connect to my database, can I stop the database and listener and adcfgclone.pl dbTier more to get the correct port pool, or I have to start the cloning process? What is the right way to do this?

If you want to fix the basin of the port on the node of the target database, you must do the following:

-Preclone run on the database layer node target

-Stop the database and listener data on the target database node

-Postclone run on the node of the target database layer and the use of the correct pool

How can I get out of this confusion?
Looks like your scene preclone directory is not correct (corrupted), and I think that it is because preclone does not run successfully.

Either you follow the steps described in the following notes to change the existing to a new undo tablespace or run preclone and copy the files again.

I you thank them all, but I got already :( I'm going to check tomorrow.

But I'm sure that the database has not created successfully logs also says cannot open the database.

Check the alert_for more information about the error in the .log file.

Maybe the sysadmin changed the name of the server again because of the condition of standardization. :(

Then, you must follow up with your system administrator.

Of the database source apps which I am cloning, I the connection system, then select * from v$ instance. And I saw that the host name is not the same as the current hostname in/etc/hosts. This could be the reason why my cloning failed?

It could be related. However, you should check whether the host name is the same as that used when running postclone.

I need to change host name of return? But why is - what the database can still started me upward (for the source) even if the host name is not the same thing?

Please check the database of the error log file before change something in return.

For the purposes of standardisation, assuming that I want to keep the new hostname in/etc/hosts, how can I change the
host name recorded in V$ instance?

Re - run postclone and provide the correct/new hostname.

11i Refresh
Hi DBAs,

I have 2 instance of EBS 11.5.10.2 (single node) on Redhat Linux 4.6, DEV and TEST. The developers make any changes to the application, and sometimes in the database, I have to synchronize these changes from DEV to TEST after all 15 days. Currently I am remove the entire file EBS of TEST system and then perform a DEV using quick Clone cloning.

Is it possible, I can refresh or synchronize (manually or automated) TEST with DEV instance after a number of days without cloning performing together?

APPLPTMP points to prod after clone

R12.1.3 running on RHEL.
After a refresh, I find that my APPLPTMP value is still using the value of Prod. Why is this?
My dose is now to stop the target instance, modify the $CONTEXT_FILE and %SID_%Servername.env file to correct it.
Am I missing a step? I run appsTier and adautocfg adcfgclone after you refresh the application layer files.

If you follow the steps in cloning (cloning Oracle Applications V12 with rapid Clone (Doc ID 406982.1)), then the $CONTEXT_FILE and the $CONTEXT_NAME should have the correct values that is supported by the quick Clone and you don't have to manually edit the context/env apps target files.

You must examine the value of 's_applptmp' in the application context file - see (difference between APPLPTMP and APPLTMP directories in EBS (Doc ID 1355735.1)) for more details.

In addition, you should not update the file env manually. If necessary update the context file and AutoConfig execution and that should be enough.

The nodes of your target need to have all software packages and pre - req OS installed and should be put in place (from the perspective of the OS) as the source nodes.

Need advice to clone my newly installed EBS 12.1.3 to a physical machine

We just migrated EBS 11i to 12.1.3 with RDBMS 11.2.3 on the same server. Our Test instance is on a physical computer and DEV is on a Virtual Machine. We need to update or to clone systems Test and Dev or Prod. What is the best approach to follow me into the cloning Prod? I'm looking to Doc ID 406982.1 but it is not very clear to me. Someone at - it get the documentation step by step for cloning?

Steps from the Source
1 alter database backup controlfile to trace
2. stop the Source
3. copy all the homes of data files and oracle to target
4 copy Source to target and change the control file
REUSE - SERIES
DBNAME to DEV
Database is coming...
Problem with earphone...
When I cheked the nteca file... its pointing to the old path of...
I have chnaged to the existing path & I even changed the path of the PLATFORM_OS file...
Now, I could create listener...
in the .xml file, what are the parameters that I need to change... how I can create SID_hostname.env

So I opted to go to caraa clone...

Cloning Oracle Applications version 12 with rapid Clone (Doc ID 406982.1) under the section "Option 6: cloning the database separately. It's the way supported cloning if you want to update the database manually.

Configure the [RDBMS ORACLE_HOME]

$ cd [RDBMS ORACLE_HOME] / appsutil/clone/bin

$ perl adcfgclone.pl dbTechStack

Create the database target control files manually

I took the alter database controlfile to trace, stop the db target, copy all the files of data & houses in the init.ora target.chnage in the target accordingly.

When I run the trace file, database has mounted with success... He was asked to arhivelogs... Since we have archivelogs in place...

Target database closure.

I added _allow_resetlogs_corruption = TRUE in the init.ora file

start using pfile = ""

Am now able to open the DB with success.

Run the script to update the database library

$ cd [RDBMS ORACLE_HOME] / appsutil/install / [NAME of CONTEXT]

$ sqlplus "/ as sysdba" @adupdlib.sql so

The database must be running and open before performing this step.

$ cd [RDBMS ORACLE_HOME] / appsutil/clone/bin

$ perl adcfgclone.pl dbconfig [context of database target file]

When the context of target database file is: [RDBMS ORACLE_HOME] /appsutil/ [nom_du_contexte target] .xml.

during the execution of this... new istrucked with...

Please make sure you have unzip 5.X on your path and try again...

A permanent solution for this is RC-20200: Fatal: Unzip is not found. For the moment only decompress Native 5.X is supported (Doc ID 1410514.1)

Workaround solution:

Since we Unzip verion 6.0... It is not supported.

I've uninstlled Unzip verion 6.0.

Installed Unzip version 5.x...

Opened the new Session

I added/usr/bin/unzip in the path.

Perl adcfgclone.pl dbconfig [context of target database file] took place without the .env acidification

Finsihed with success...

The way simplest would be using quick Clone - run preclone on the database/application, stop the application/database, run post clone on demand database and change the SID.
