Quick views in the pane of folders in Windows Live Mail
I recently received some emails that are not in my Inbox. Two of them came in fast mode as 'Spam '. I have read them and tried to designate them as "not Spam." However I can't locate.
Today I received another email and it appeared in the Quick views as "unread". I read the e-mail, but now cannot locate. After reading it, the email disappeared quickly.
All emails appear on my tablet. I am a little concerned that the emails are important and I can't afford is not to see them easily. Normally all the emails only appear in the Inbox and I don't understand what is happening.
Thanks for any help.
OT: Live mail Inbox

Hi Bob,
Thanks for posting the query on the Microsoft Community Forums. You have reached the right place. Let us work together to find the cause of this problem and try to solve.
A quick view is view a selection of messages in mail folders. Any message that you see in the Quick views is actually located in one of the folders that you can see in the files pane. Windows Live Mail only 'auto delete' whatever it is. If you are facing the same question next time, hear is the procedure to enable or disable the quick pane.
Open Windows Live mail > toolbar above, click on view > click on filters > should be the point of view quick return at the top of the folders pane.
I hope this helps. Let us know if you have other problems with Windows in the future.

I need to disable the slide show feature in Windows Live Mail 2011
I asked the question back here December 7:
I have a list of disks that I send that contains some pictures. Is there a way to disable the slide show feature is not there when I send this list. Also - for some reason, it is much more difficult to add to my list because I went from Windows Outlook to Windows Live Mail 2011. No idea why it is difficult to make additions to my list? Thanks - BobIt was the response I received from Michael Santovec:(1) turn off picture messaging
WLM 2011: ALT + F, Options, mail, compose - uncheck: message to convert to e-mail photo when you add photosWhile composing
WLM 2011: Insert (ALT + I), simple Photo or attach fileThere is a solution to avoid the send from Windows Explorer forcing picture messaging in WLM 2011 despite the program settings.
When you select to send, accompanied of a record no graphic images. This could be just a file dummy.txt which is located in the same folder.
You will always have the ability to resize the images, but they find themselves attached instead of a mail of the photo. You can then right click on the file dummy.txt and remove it from the message before sending it.
An another workaround if you are connected with a Live ID account in WLM is right click on the album in the message composition window, then left click on the tab tools of Photo Album that highlights in the Ribbon, and then the trombone to convert attachments.
Now, I'm not much more than a 'computer' man so maybe I did something wrong but the instructions above do not work. And now things have become even worse:
-now, I try to download my list several times before it actually works. Most of the time part of the page or the whole page becomes completely black.
-the few times that I can send my page and send him off to someone it takes about 5 to 6 minutes to go from my Outbox sent items.
I really need to turn off the slide show feature in my windows Live Mail 2011, otherwise I'll have fet another e-mail provider that is not something I want to do. I really don't like the new look of WLM 2011, but this problem with the slideshow feature drives me crazy. Any help here will be greatly appreciated - Bob
P.S. I thought to return to Outlook from Windows, but since I am on Windows 7 is apparently not an option.

reset the wizard import identity in windows live mail
Ayuh,
I'm trying to move from XP to W7. I remember seeing in migrating from OE to WLM FRONT operating system. (Because the WLM for W7 version lacks the import OE account available in the XP compatible version Wizard?) I installed WLM on XP, and all my stuff of OE appeared with the exception of the references ' save/move to "in my very large rule set. I understand that it is 'normal' because WLM message store organization is different from OE.* while I was manual correction of this, I messed up bigtime and amazed all rules and probably a bunch of other indispensable elements. All attempts to repeat the account import fail, usually with the
* I'm not sure that understand the rational that WLM does not know the target of the link. It imported all the folders and messages, from OE and put them into folders etc. under WLM. So that he knows where they come from and where he put them, so it's a 1:1 reference. Surely, it is a simple exercise to find the translation and change the rules in WLM?
Unfortunately, no one here can solve problems of Windows Live Mail. You need to ask http://windowslivehelp.com/product.aspx?productid=15

Import storage folders in Windows Live Mail
I'm the data transfer between an old hard drive on a hard nine. I have all my messages, which included a large number of records of the old "exported" disk drive storage Now I'm trying to "import" messages and he tells me that the records "are empty or currently in use by another program". They are not empty... I see clearly that the date transferred correctly. How can I get the messages and storage records are imported into Windows Live Mail on my new hard drive?
Thank you
Problem solved. As it came from WLM, I said that the import program just WLM. When I said that he was from Windows Mail, it transferred OK.

How can I fix the error ID: 0X800CCC0F on Windows Live Mail
Hello!... How can I fix this error message on my Windows Live Mail?... I use Microsoft Security Essentials antivirus...
Thanks in advance!
Can't send or receive messages for the account "e-mail address." Your server suddenly put an end to the connection. The possible causes for this include server problems, network problems, or a long period of inactivity.
Server: 'pop.att.yahoo.com '.
Windows Live Mail error ID: 0x800CCC0F
Protocol: POP3
Port: 995
Secure (SSL): YesThe fact that the behavior is transitional in nature and have no problem access to your * address email is removed from the privacy * accounts very strongly suggests the problem side of Yahoo (i.e., incoming & outgoing servers).
If you were not able to access your Yahoo account or the * address email is removed from the privacy * accounts, I would have suggested tweaking your maximum transmission network (MTU) setting - wireless, but it's clearly NOT the case here. [1]
Tip: Wireless connections depend as well on the strength & consistency of the signal from the router so you are to the router, the better. If your home has walls of stone or brick, the wireless signal will not lead very far (for example, an office on the first floor of a room on the third floor).
==========================================
[1] the MTU parameter controls the maximum size of a TCP/IP packet that sends your computer. If the Internet service provider has a limit to what can be received, your packages can become fragmented, thus causing problems. -
Original title: Windows Live Mail connection.
I've updated my computer to Windows 7. Previously I used Outlook Express for my email, now I have Windows Live Mail. I can receive emails, but I get the following error message when I send an email.
The connection to the server has failed.
Subject 'test '.
Server: 'smtp.comcast.net '.
Windows Live Mail error ID: 0x800CCC0E
Protocol: SMTP
Port: 25
Secure (SSL): No.
Socket error: 10051Change the SMTP port to 587 and ensure that: my server requires authentication is enabled.

Unable to connect to the internet using Google or Windows Live Mail access
I have an Acer laptop with Windows 7. Every time I have to connect to the Internet via Google, or attempt to access my emails on Windows live mail, it takes forever to connect to the time and the high bar always notes that Windows does not. Please notify. This happens only in the last year, no problems prior to this.
What type of connection Internet?
What Antivirus utility do you use?
This happens in other web browsers?
If you are on a wireless connection, try switching to a wired connection and try the download.
Click Start, type: cmd
Right-click on cmd, and then click Run as administrator
At the command prompt, type the following:
ipconfig/release
then
ipconfig/renew
then
ipconfig/flushdns
leave the command prompt
Click Start, type: folder
Press enter
Delete the contents of the temp folder
Restart the computer and try to download again.
If the problem persists, try resetting your router if you are connected to one.
Turn off the router, unplug it, wait 10 minutes
Plug it in again, power up once again
Reconnect the Ethernet cable
Try to access these web services again.
