& quot; News & quot; box with scroll bars

Hello

I would like to create a box with scroll bars to display reports that can be easily updated, similar to the one on the right side of the page on IDG.com. Can someone help me with this please?

Unfortunately, we're stuck with Dreamweaver 4.0 for the time, so if there is a way to do it without putting on level and with my skills in programming very limited, that would be appreciated.

Thank you!
Ed

    In a SWF, 1000 can x 1000, you only display 1000 x 500 and scroll the film with a scroll bar?

    If yes how?

    Thank you

    If your .swf is 1000 X 1000 and you only want part of it to be displayed in the browser, you can place the .swf in a div and set the height of the div to 500 pixels and then in css, set the div overflow: scroll

  • Long canvas with scroll bar

    Hello. I have a form with a very long canvas containing more elements that can contain the screen at a time - which means that elements are far down on the canvas and do not appear unless physically, the user uses the mouse and scroll down. This is a problem for me because as the tabs of the user through the various fields the cursor will eventually "seem to" disappear. He actually disappeared of course, but he simply sailed to an element that is low on the canvas out of sight. So, the user must recognize that this has happened, and then use the mouse to scroll down and find the cursor.

    Is there a way to automatically coordinate this scroll so that the cursor always remains for the user - which means that the user must never scroll manually to find the cursor? Or worst case, can I programatically scroll down for the user so that the cursor remains visible?

    Any help would be greatly appreciated. If you have a sample code please send it to: [email protected]

    Thanks in advance.

    -> 3) changed to 5 default window width and height to 12

    Don't, don't. Apparently, which guarantees the problem you have.

    The window size must be no larger than will fit on the screen of the user and the user who runs the screen resolution below should be your target. We create higher forms that fits on the layout of 800 x 600. Our forms always use the real, the Pixel coordinate system, and I create forms with the size of the window out of 784 x 442. These reduced numbers allow the shape to fit in a browser window in web forms. Our forms run under the both Client/Server AND Web 6i and there's a preform that adjusts the size of web form window a bit bigger, but that's all.

    In addition, when you run your form, this scroll bar you see here is because your window is not maximized. Our forms always maximize the window and even have a trigger when-window-resized with this:

    DECLARE
    W0 Window := Find_Window('WINDOW0');
    BEGIN
    If Get_Window_Property(W0,Window_State)<>'MAXIMIZE' then
    Set_Window_Property(W0,Window_State,Maximize);
    End if;
    END;

    The wwr trigger ensures the user never sees the Window0 border - is useless, unless you use a form with several windows, which we never have.

    Then... Maximize your Window0, and then you will see the behavior I described. Create a stacked canvas with a vertical scroll bar, and it will perform even better.

  • New additional box with discs of 4 to 7 k, but I have a question

    So guys,

    We added a new box to our sc8000 and it has 4 to 7 k disks.

    We have created a separate folder (called secondary) and they are in a different pool, in order not to take part in the progression of normal data.

    The thing that that concerns me is that they are classified as T1 discs? I would like to take advantage of compression on SCO v6.5, but which only works on the storage of T3?

    Why they are considered t1? What Miss me

    Storage of the SC series has the ability to create multiple virtual storage containers hierarchical system (clusters of disks) - each pool is evaluated separately from all others. People do this for many reasons, they want to perform billing, or disks encrypted and unencrypted, projects etc. To get the best features the efficiency of storage in a SC would normally use a disk pool and all the resources of disk in it. Allows you to define policies (or use the default values) that will allow you to have the LUN to use different levels of disk for blocks based on age and other criteria (based on the storage policy).

    When you create a new disk pool and put only one type of disc in it - which has only one level. As you need different types of discs the labelling of the level automatically update to reflect this change.

    If you try to create a space that is archival and all LUNS must be compressed immediately, you just make sure you're on the latest version of the firmware SC.

    For your situation - read carefully the document next and then based on the option activate information if necessary.

    Files PDF is media files.  How they are treated is entirely at the mercy of your end-users system software and browser settings.  Many people like me prefer to download a PDF file, then open them directly in Acrobat Pro, thus avoiding any need for browser support.    The best you can do is to provide a direct link to the PDF file and let people manage their own path.

    According to devices/operating systems that you want to support, you could give bbUI.js a change. It works really well in most of the cases, and I think there are a lot of things you don't need to worry more because bbUI.js is just for you.

    Look more at the scrollPanel example that does exactly what it takes, a part only of the entire screen of scrolling you can configure a height in the HTML source code directly.

    From [http://www.coderanch.com/t/432788/GUI/java/JComboBox-horizontall-scroll-bar] and [http://forums.sun.com/thread.jspa?threadID=5369365], I know that the technique to have a horizontal scroll bar for JComboBox.

    not too purist - but there are thingies you MUST NOT spread like that pollutes community knowledge ;-)

    There is an official way (read: code of the heart itself does swing combo) to access the pop-up window and then do what you must

        private void adjustScrollBar(JComboBox box) {
            if (box.getItemCount() == 0) return;
            Object comp = box.getUI().getAccessibleChild(box, 0);
            if (!(comp instanceof JPopupMenu)) {
                return;
            }
            JPopupMenu popup = (JPopupMenu) comp;
            JScrollPane scrollPane = (JScrollPane) popup.getComponent(0);
            scrollPane.setHorizontalScrollBar(new JScrollBar(JScrollBar.HORIZONTAL));
            scrollPane.setHorizontalScrollBarPolicy(JScrollPane.HORIZONTAL_SCROLLBAR_AS_NEEDED);
        }

    Simply assign the scroll bar will work at any time after the creation of the drop-down list (BTW: assigning the horizontalScrollBar null got really... didn't even know it is valid). If you want to resize the drop-down list, you will need to do it in a popupMenuListener willBecomeVisible: at this time, all internal components are ready for touch-ups. Just for fun, set up the drop-down list to adapt to the requirements of the size of a JXTable used as a rendering component:

        private void adjustPopupWidth(JComboBox box) {
            if (box.getItemCount() == 0) return;
            Object comp = box.getUI().getAccessibleChild(box, 0);
            if (!(comp instanceof JPopupMenu)) {
                return;
            }
            JPopupMenu popup = (JPopupMenu) comp;
            JScrollPane scrollPane = (JScrollPane) popup.getComponent(0);
            Object value = box.getItemAt(0);
            Component rendererComp = box.getRenderer().getListCellRendererComponent(null, value, 0, false, false);
            if (rendererComp instanceof JXTable) {
                scrollPane.setColumnHeaderView(((JTable) rendererComp).getTableHeader());
            }
            Dimension prefSize = rendererComp.getPreferredSize();
            Dimension size = scrollPane.getPreferredSize();
            size.width = Math.max(size.width, prefSize.width);
            scrollPane.setPreferredSize(size);
            scrollPane.setMaximumSize(size);
            scrollPane.revalidate();
        }

    and Yes, this is the example for setXXSize. But then, it isn't but application code a code 'in-house framework.

    See you soon... and the real work

  • Apple mail not showing scroll bar not until...

    Double click on the header of the e-mail message.

    Look at the photos of three ties.

    The first photo shows an e-mail selected from B & H. You will notice that there is more content that can be displayed on the screen. But given that the scroll bar is not visible I can't access this content.

    The only way I am able to get the scroll bar to display is double click on the e-mail header, which then opens the email in a new window. The scroll bar is now active in the new window (photo 2) and once the window is closed and the scroll bar is now active in enamel (photo 3).

    This doesn't happen that once per session (open a close the application). Once I do that to an email then all other emails show a scroll bar active and are not affected hereby.

    This was a problem for me since the update to El Capitan.

    Any difficulty that someone knows?

    What type and brand of pointing (mouse, trackpad) device do you use? If she supports two-finger scrolling (like mouse and trackpad from Apple have done for some time), you should be able to scroll with it.

  • Possible file corruption: controls/scroll bar disappearing

    I worked on a VI using LabView 8.6 for awhile and when I opened it today I noticed that although scroll bars are visible on the façade,

    the rectangles that you enter in the scroll bar to move upward or downwards are missing.

    I tried to solve this by masking and display then scrollbars in the following way:

    1. in the VI preferences window

    2. by right clicking on the scroll bars

    3. dynamically using a property node bound to the pane and using the properties of "HorizScrollbarVisibility" and "VertScrollbarVisibility".

    Also, I searched the forums and found some similar positions with some suggestions:

    http://forums.NI.com/T5/LabVIEW/front-panel-is-not-shown-completely/m-p/932988?view=by_date_ascendin...

    24/06/2009 Altenbach suggested to open a new VI and copy the code through.
    -When I tried the solution of Altenbach, the scroll bar grab tool on the front panel has been visible for a few seconds and then disappeared when I tried to use it.

    With the scroll error bar is the fact that 4-5 controls in my program are not on the front panel more.

    When I try clicking on their terminal, a blank part of the façade is shown.

    Right click on the line of control gives an indication that the controls are not hidden on the façade.

    Any ideas on how to solve these problems without having to go back to a week of the program version and rewrite the added code from there me?

    I found an adjustment wheel on my front with caption text and scale was not placed on the top of the circle of the object of the front portion.

    They had been randomly moved a few thousand pixels to the right of the control.

    To reset the text position and scale that I had to right click on the object and replace the dial with a new dial.
    The scroll bars work now and the missing items now.

    My guess is that the error was caused by the limits of the cover being so big.
    In addition, objects that I could find were those who are invisible until a user event makes visible.

  • a text box is every moment that I edited dynamically scroll bar upward. I know that's not a problem with the Web site because she works with other browsers

    There is a problem with scrolling of a text box bar. whenever it is changed dynamically developing area moves upward instead to keep the focus in the area of the new inserted text. even if I move it down to hand it back again.

    OK, I have fixed the code in my program. When I finished the editing, I use this code in javascript.
    document.getElementById("chatMainTxt").scrollTop = document.getElementById ("chatMainTxt") .scrollHeight;

Now it always does the same thing but the window its shorter and has now a scroll bar on it, is there a way to restore or change this option to how I got it?

    Normally, you should see approximately 12 items in the drop-down list.
    This is defined via the pref browser.urlbar.maxRichResults you can review and edit the topic: config page.
    If you see a lot less you could have an extension or a theme problem.

    Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox, Tools/menu key > Modules > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem.

    • Put yourself in the DEFAULT theme: Firefox, Tools/menu key > Modules > appearance
    • Do NOT click on the reset button on the startup window Mode safe

    Hello guys. Ive has designed the following website... www.trigpointselby.com

    It's just a standard static Web site, display of information.

    My problem is on the areas of the bussiness section I created a div of ap and filled with information... the text was big for the box as he could go in, so in the css rule definition, I put "overflow" positioning in the volute of option.

    Now it works perfectly well and sounds great when you view it from any internet browser. My question is, I tried to watch it on my iphone and the scroll bar was not visible, so I could only read the part of the text and could not scroll down to read the rest like in a web browser on the pc / mac.

    So my question is does a step a way round so that if people were to see the web page on the iphones that they could used the css that I put the rule making a scroll bar visible for people to read the text. Im guessing that this will be a problem with all the mobile phones not only the iphone

    I just read your stylesheet (trigpoint.css). Here is one rule in this
    style sheet that uses absolute positioning (AP):
    {#menubar}
    position: absolute;
    Width: 800px;
    height: 42px;
    z index: 4;

    NOTE: Everything between {and} is called the "declaration block". Each

    Is there a way to disable the function where firefox opens a new tab when you scroll a click in the header bar? This feature in conflict with my program of multiple monitors (display fusion) since this program allows you to change your current active window the monitor 1 monitor 2 and vice versa BY clicking the header of BAR SCROLLING (or whatever you call the highest part of your window). With firefox, I can't easily change my active window between monitors because instead, it opens a new tab.

    If the window is maximized, you can then switch this pref to disable the display of the tabs in the title bar:

    • browser.tabs.drawInTitlebar = false

    You can open the topic: config page via the address bar.
    You can accept the warning and click on "I'll be careful" to continue.
