radial wipe

Is it possible to make a radial wipe in Motion 5?

In other words, a circle "wiping" of anything in a full disk, filled, downtown?

Thanks in advance.

Yes, there are good ways.  The method you use can depend on your overall composition.

The easiest way is to apply a circle mask to the layer you want to reveal and animate the radius of mask from 0 to the size that you need to reveal the item to which it is applied.   You can do animation with keyframes or behavior.  You can also add controls mask feathers if you want a soft edge.  Another way to proceed is to use an image mask.  The idea is roughly the same, you select the layer you want to reveal and add the mask of the image (shift + m).  You would then create a form of circle and drag it in the image for the mask of the image in the inspector or just drag the circle layer in the layer on the mask of the image list in the layer list.  The circle will be disabled (hidden).  In this case, you would animate the circle layer to control the mask. Measure the layer / circle and set the feather circle for the animation and the look you want.

    Im trying to apply to a circle we he gets shoot little by little, as the hand, sounds easy enough, is just to put the radial wipe in the shape layer, and that's it, right? Well, he draws the circle in a very special way, go to half way very quickly, then stops for a while and finished the other half very fast too, so the sound very natural movement and is horrible, like stammering, nothing like Ive seen on tutorials and videos anywhere

    Radial wipe works from the center space of the model. Put your ellipse in the Center, add and animate wipe Radial dial before moving any attribute, then reposition.

    The other option would be to use trim road on your shape layer or a mask path and stroke to reveal or simply draw your ellipse.

  • The radial wipe very basic / expression to opacity

    Hey guys

    Sorry for asking what is probably a great basic question. Why my simple expression below does not reach the result of the abandonment of the opacity by 25 for each quarter of completion? Am I missing something basic? He remains rather 100% until the last quarter where it falls to 25. Pretty cool IM at expressions hope so sorry if such a function is poorly written.

    See you soon

    EXPRESSION ON THE OPACITY

    TRANS effect ("Radial Wipe") ("completion of the Transition");

    If (trans < = 75 & & trans > 50) {}

    953

    If (trans < = 50 & & trans > 25) {}

    70?

    If (trans < = 25 & & trans > 0) {}

    25} else {100};

    The last if statement always translates into 20 or 100. You can write it like this:

    TRANS effect ("Radial Wipe") ("completion of the Transition");

    If {(trans<=75 &&="" trans="">50)

    75

    } ElseIf (trans<=50 &&="" trans="">25) {}

    50

    } ElseIf (<=25 &&="" trans="">trans 0) {}

    25

    } else {}

    100

    };

    or you could do something like:

    TRANS effect ("Radial Wipe") ("completion of the Transition");

    If (trans == 0) {}

    100

    } else {}

    Math.ceil (TRANS/25) * 25;

    }

  • Ellipse with radial wipe not giving natural shade

    Have applied a radial wipe to an ellipse and added a light + background, but the shadow does not change with the wipe (remaining if the ellipse complete was present). He WORKED with a simple shadow layer style drop, but prefer the flexibility of a real if possible light. Anyone know how to solve this / or why this effect does not light through the transparent area?

    Thank you

    Paul

    It is the order of rendering that bit you. You must use a shape layer.  You will need to dial before the shape layer. You can either apply the radial wipe of the form or the pre-comp layer.

    If you are using a mask on a solid and apply your radial wipe that shadow will work.

  • Using an object HAVE as an AE CS5 mask

    I have a "brush stroke" object in a file that I want TO use in AE.  My goal is to have the brush stroke animated so that it looks, it is painted on the screen.  I created a shape layer in AE and then copied and pasted the AI object in the layer.  My problem is to get the brush stroke to work as a mask for a solid red.  How can I make this work and then animate the solid red to simulate the effect of a sudden painted brush?

    My layers:

    Capture.JPG

    My "brush stroke" solid red in the composition:

    Capture.JPG

    Use the layer as a track matte on the solid. to paint on the features, create a central aisle, use effects like stroke to reveal (or even a way of capping layer with a filling of paths modifier). for a stroke to bow as your also a radial wipie might work...

  • security question about remote wipe

    So I have an old macbook air I dedicated to Bill to pay and the quickbooks. Passwords are: Firmware OS/user and Quickbooks app.

    For online I use multifactorial authentication and I find my mac for the remote erase option if needed.

    However, how Apple supposed to find this computer to delete it unless it is to be turned on, a figure the passwords and hop on a network. Even if it is just at the login screen, I don't think he'll jump on the networks open by itself.

    In addition, it seems to me that someone might just do the trick of this by opening the MBA and the replacement of the hard drive on this model, or at least show the files/User (although they should be behind a password for themselves what I understand).

    It seems to me that all remote wipe is something I can't really count as one of my options. Can someone verify or straighten out me on this if I don't see things correctly?

  • Why Firefox wipe its settings every time you start?

    I use the latest version of Firefox on my Mac. Firefox is going to wipe its internal settings whenever I start the program, giving me the possibility to import setting for the information of the other browsers on your computer. Simply close the program and opening it again cause this problem and I have no idea what could be the cause of it.

    Delete Firefox, then reinstall it does not solve the problem and not restarting. I think that it maybe a problem with it that require permissions to save its settings, but I have no idea where to find them and how to fix it.

    A possible and probable cause is a problem with the file profiles.ini

    • Windows: %AppData%\Mozilla\Firefox\
      C:\Users\ < user > < profile > \AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\.
    • Linux: ~/.mozilla/firefox/

    You can use one of them to make the Creation/use of a new default profile for Firefox:

    • Remove the profiles.ini file to force Firefox to create a new default profile
    • Use the Profile Manager to create a new profile
    • Use "Choose a folder" when you create a new profile to select the location of a lost profile and recover this profile
