Ran Diagnostic Report/average line of the disc is 2

About 2 weeks ago, I upgraded my Vista laptop to 1 GB. It works perfectly, but I ran a Diagnostic report and it showed in the information Section that average disk queue length was 1. I did a defragment disks and changed it to 2, but I still get the same message informtional, now with 2 instead of 1.

Should I do something else because it works well? The only change I noticed is that I had to close it with the button yesterday because the screen was grey long after many updates of Windows. He opens normally today and made a few configuration. I got scared when I saw the screen after seeing some comments on a Blue Screen of Death or something like that, but I'm sure it was gray not only blue.

Thank you

AG

Hi Ana,

Length of queue Disk Avg... This counter is in fact closely related to the % disk time counter. This counter converts a decimal value to the % disk time and displays. This counter will be necessary at the time where the disk configuration employs several controllers for several physical disks. In these cases, the overall performance of the disk IO system, which consists of two controllers, could exceed that of an individual disk. So, if you look at the % disk time counter, you would see only a value of 100%, which represent the total potential of the entire system, but only that he had reached the potential of a single record on a single controller. The actual value may be at 120%, which displays the Avg. disk queue length counter. 1.2.

The tab disk in the resource monitor (Start - Run - Resmon, or just the button resource monitor in the performance of the Task Manager tab) will show the disk of process activity to help understand this specific process is causing so much disk activity.

For reference:

The monitoring queue length

  • Loop lines in the SQL report.

    Hi all

I have created a very different application, and I ran into quite the roadblock.
Let me give you a brief on the problem.
I have a form that must be dynamic and therefore is created during execution.
I used the APEX_ITEM and a SQL SELECT CASE to create a dynamic report.

For example if the DATATYPE column in my table shows the DATE, I create an APEX_ITEM. DATE_POPUP, if it says CHAR I create a text box, and if a column called
LOV is filled APEX_ITEM. SELECT_LIST_FROM_QUERY using the numerical value of the LOV to query a list of values from a different table.

Now, this leads me to say in a single column of there could be different data_types. which means that the update feature several lines with apex will not work.
It's easy to get the data to display. However to save updates is another story.

Which brings me to my question. Does anyone know way in which you can loop through each row in a SQL on APEX report and evaluate each line individually.
I would like to accomplish something like that

    LOOP
    MyUpdateProcedure (currentrow_id, currentrow_datatype, currentrow_value)
Go to the next line in the report
    END LOOP;

Quite simple in theory? We have an APEX expert out there that could give me a hand with this?

    Codes,

It seems to me that you could add a hidden field to tell you what you need to know in order to determine the column update.

Assuming that it has been created using the parameter p_idx = 50 and contained the names you have provided (for example DATA_DATA) and your primary key is created using p_idx = 1, then you could add the logic of the update in a suite submit process something like this

BECAUSE me in 1... apex_application.g_f01. COUNTY
    LOOP
    CASE apex_application.g_f50 (i)
    WHEN "DATA_DATA" THEN
-Run the update on the data column
    WHEN "CHAR_DATA" THEN
-Run the update on the column of char type

    etc.

If the multi-type column is created with the api apex_item by using p_idx = 2 then you just reference it in the loop as apex_application.g_f02 (i) and the primary key is apex_application.g_f01 (i).

    I hope this helps.

  • Average length of the line for the index?

Hey guys, I'm still working on my model sizing and had a question about the index. Is there a comparable indexes avg_row_length as there are tables? I know how to make the length of the average line on a table with no problem... it's the same for the index? Y at - it other overhead costs outside the normal table overhead that I need to think about indexes?

    Much obliged.

    TimS

The little overhead that I would be more concerned with index, which will depend on the kind of pads that occur, would block splits (split 50-50 vs 90-10 block). I suspect that it is dependent on version as well. It seems that it would be rather difficult to report a simple formula. If there is never entirely free deletions until blocks, that could also lead to some rather interesting General calculations that depend on time... You can, of course, simply increase the fudge factor credits allows you to account for this, but it seems difficult.

It's one of the reasons why I prefer to build tables / indexes, do some DML representitive and then extrapolate the sizes real rather than relying on spreadsheet formulas.

  • Remove the line from the Excel report when generating reports

    Hi all

I try to delete whole lines of the report excel during the generation of the report in excel, but I'm not able to do this. Here I am attaching an excel template, in that I want to delete line no 3 to 5 How can I do this. I'm using LabVIEW 8.6 Report Generation Toolkit for Microsoft Office 1.1.3

    Thanks and greetings...

If there is no function to generate report for simple operations like this, then use the palette of VBA macros to run this code snippet:

'remove all lines between two rows inclusive '.
Void DeleteRows (intTopRow As String, intLastRow As Integer)
Range (cells (intTopRow, 1), (intLastRow, 1)). EntireRow.Delete xlShiftUp
    End Sub

Import Excel module allows to load the .bas file then run Excel Macro with parameters 3 and 5.  Check your security settings if you get an error in the macro.

  • Help! 8500 a print report has white horizontal lines through the blocks of Magenta and Orange.

I SOLVED MY PROBLEM BECAUSE OF THE HELP I RECEIVED BELOW.  MY ORIGINAL MESSAGE FOLLOWS.  BE SURE TO SCROLL DOWN FOR THE SOLUTION!

Please see the focus 2 below: I read all the posts here and of course I cleaned the printhead of many many times.  It is almost the worst lines now.  The printer cartridges are all full, and I also turned the printer on and off the power, etc... . Thus only line ACEs and calibtrated a bunch of times.

Is there anything else I can / try?  Is there something else to clean inside and the dust that creates streaks?     Doesn't seem wise to call and pay for this service.

None of my impressions with the graphics seem to be good all of a sudden and he is hurt and slow down my business – do I have to buy another printer?

    Help!

Is the a page of print head cleaning blocks magenta and red lines? This means somehow magenta ink is not put on paper on these lines. Because this is not the whole of the region, it's not magenta ink came out. Must be on the printhead nozzles is obstructed or somehow blocked. It is display in the fine lines on the quality report page you have posted. Broke the thin vertical line shows the nozzles at these locations are not belittling inks.

If the clean print head does not resolve the problem, you may need to replace the print head.

The 8500 has 2 print heads, one for the black and magenta/cyan. This page show you more about clean/replace the printheads on 8500 a: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c01615896

In this page, there is a photo showing the printhead with the wording: "nozzles - do not clean", it is because that manually clean nozzles could easily damage the print head and make things worse. But if anything the problem and replace the print head, you can try to clean the area of the nozzle with a fluffy, wet with warm water. But when a printhead issue, when the "clean printhead" functioin does not help, I strongly recommend to replace the print head.

  • How to get the device Diagnostic report?

    Hi guys.

Do you know how to get the device Diagnostic report?

Is this possible on a Simulator?

    Thank you.

    Hi guys.

I found the way how to get.

    It's easy.

In order to get the diagnostics test report, go to Options / settings-> Network Mobile-> select "diagnostic test" in the menu-> then 'run '.

  • Include the attribute custom report using the disc

I'm to customize a script provided by Alan Renouf in his PowerGUI Powerpack.  The script I'm customization in the Powerpack is named 'VM disk sizes.

His screenplay does everything we need from a point of view of output except that we can also include a custom attribute (Custom Field) VM as well as the information of the disk space.  I have included the below custom script, please note that this is a script/PowerGUI PowerPack we customize but was initially written and provided by Alan Renouf and all credit for this original work must be given to Alan.

I have included our custom below script and have "in bold Red" line in the script that does not work:

    $AllVMs = get-View - ViewType VirtualMachine. Where {-not $_.} Config.Template}
    $SortedVMs = $AllVMs | Select *, @{N = "NumDisks"; E={@($_. Guest.Disk.Length)}} | Sort-Object-down NumDisks
    {ForEach ($VM to $SortedVMs)
    $Details = new-object PSObject
    $Details | Add-Member-Name name-value $VM.name - Membertype NoteProperty
    $Details | Add-Member - MemberType NoteProperty-name CustomFields-value (($VM.)) CustomFields | %{"$($_. Key) = $($_.) (Value)'}) - join ',')
    $DiskNum = 0
    Foreach ($disk in $VM. Guest.Disk) {}
    $Details | Add-Member-name "drive$ ($DiskNum) path"-MemberType NoteProperty-value $Disk.DiskPath
    $Details | Add-Member-Name "Disk$ ($DiskNum) Capacity (MB)"-MemberType NoteProperty-value ([math]: round ($disk.) Capacity / 1 MB))
    $Details | Add-Member-Name "Disk$ ($DiskNum) FreeSpace (MB)"-MemberType NoteProperty-value ([math]: round ($disk.) FreeSpace / 1 MB))
    $DiskNum ++
    } # end foreach nested
    $Details.PSTypeNames.Clear)
    $Details.PSTypeNames.Add ('Virtu-al'.PowerPack.VMGuestDisks) '
    $Details.PSTypeNames.Add ('Virtu-al'.PowerPack.VM) '
    $Details
    } # end foreach

When you use the Get view as seen on the first line of the script, it appears the CustomField information not available in the generated view.  How to develop the view to include CustomFields/CustomAttributes for each virtual computer in our environment and then report on their subject?

Please let me know if I did a poor job explaining the scenario and what I'm after here.  Any help is greatly appreciated!

    Hello, jSun311-

Yes, you are right - there is no such thing as the "CustomFields" property on a managed object VirtualMachine .  You can always get the names and the corresponding values of the custom fields, you just have a little.  For example, you could change the line to:

    ...## make a comma-separated string that holds the custom field key/value pairs, like "cust0 = myValue0,cust1 = myDateInfo"$Details | Add-Member -MemberType NoteProperty -Name CustomFields -Value (($VM.Value | %{$oCustFieldStrValue = $_; "{0} = {1}" -f ($VM.AvailableField | ?{$_.Key -eq $oCustFieldStrValue.Key}).Name, $oCustFieldStrValue.Value}) -join ",")...

and you should be happy as a clam.

BTW, this call Get-view on your first line could be optimized a little using the - Filter parameter, like:

    $AllVMs = Get-View -ViewType VirtualMachine -Filter @{"Config.Template" = "false"}

Pretty minimal in this case, but can be very useful in other scenarios of Get-View.  And, you may want to retrieve only the properties of the managed VirtualMachine object that you plan to use, so that the memory usage is reduced to the minimum, speed is optimized, etc. (do you this by using the - Get-mode property param).

Anyway, how does do for you?
