Random blinking on layers

I get a random flashing on text layers. I have two layers of text in a different color over the other and for some strange reason, I get the random fast blink when I go. This flashing is not visible in the program over the RAM Preview. Everything seems fine him. Does anyone have a solution to this?

I was talking about text layers. If they are in the same location in 3d space, move them a little so that they are not on the same exact plan. You move them in x and y (I guess) a pixel or two in z should do the trick. (Assuming that the question is what I think it is).

If you want to have real, editable text in AE instead of Illustrator layers layers, you have a few options:

  • You can "export" your Illustrator file in Photoshop (.psd) format. Then open the .psd in After Effect in the form of Composition, select the text layer and choose layer > convert to editable text.
  • You can click right > "Create forms of vector layer" (in fact the text itself is modifiable, but you have all the cool features that shape the layers provide repeaters, etc..)
  • You can copy the text in Illustrator, start a new text layer in AE and paste the text in there.

  • Script to extend or reduce the layers?

    Hi all

    I saw a little of this topic in the forums but no real resolution it seems? Like many others, whenever I open a file, layers are spread randomly in the layers palette, which is very frustrating and a lot of time to process.

    Is it possible to run a script that collapses and/or extends to all the layers?

    Thank you very much!

    S

    Sorry but no, not possible with scripts.

    Just note that enlargement is not random, you will have layers will increase if you have a sublayer.

  • Intermittent pixelation, fuzz and reduction of the colors (with photos)

    EDIT: Are the images below showing no not for you? I downloaded via the forum. Some tips on making them to show? I selected the option to make them private.

    A few days ago, we bought a new DM4 1160-United States. Occasionally, we will get what looks like the pixelation, fuzz, or out of the blue color reduction. Put the PC to sleep so he raises he cleared.

    We use the Windows 7 x 64 original operating system. Nothing fancy is installed. All drivers are in their last review by downloads driver update Windows and HP online.

    Here are pictures of the problems. What they don't show, it's how some pixels will start randomly blinking or flickering.

    Most of the time, the screen is fine. We have not found a way to reproduce reliably. Occurs when it has been over a long period or not. Has no correlation with CPU supported to use. (In fact, this laptop did not a lot of serious CPU usage at all.) It is not a problem of overheating induced by outside, as if you were to block the vents - it happens even when you sit for a while on a table in a cool room.

    It is a picture of the office with the Windows 7 default background image. Note how the gradient in the background it looks like something you'd see in a 16-color image. And notice the white stripes randomly in the notes.

    In case you think this is a problem with the way I put my video properties, let me assure you, it isn't that. The video properties have not moved to use the full resolution of the screen in 32-bit color mode. Also, put the computer to sleep and wake up, he shouldn't change my settings. Finally, there is no adjustment as shoud cause pixels to twinkle.

    Look how strong black characters have non-black pixels:

    If you have reduced to a mode 16 colors, you would expect some problems with how the pixels on the edge translate due to antialiasing, but above, you see the characters have pixels of color suspiciously at random in all of characters.

    Now, to top it off, it's that picture of my systray:

    Note the random coloring. The background behind it is a solid color, so it does not effect of translucency.

    This isn't something that can be fixed with an upgrade of the driver. The screen is defective or the cable itself has been disconnected from the motherboard where it plugs into the screen, or both. Possibility of video card becomes defective.

    It's a hardware problem, it's only a few days, return to where you buy or contact HP.

    Personally I just return it and get a new one, even if this problem is corrected, who knows what else can fool you.

    A new computer should not do this, and you shouldn't have to pee with her to make it work.

  • Why are the guides in the layer panel?

    Have always shown in the layer panel guides? I swear that didn't used to be the case. However, adding a new guide throws randomly in the layers panel. Is it possible to hide the guides in the layer panel? Or at least automatically group them into their own group or layer? Guides are not a part of the work, so they really should not be included in the layer panel, or at least not treated like all other vector objects.

    DaveB... wrote:

    Guides do not appear in the Panel layers in InDesign; they always have in Illustrator.

    They are (sort of) objects in vector Illustrator you can drag a guide from the rule and release it to a line or create a path and Cmd + 5, it a guide. This weird example has been drawn with the pencil tool and converted into a guide.

    Best example: I can draw a rectangle, Center it on the artboard, Cmd + 5 and have the margin guides.

    The answers to your questions are:

    Yes, the guides have always been in the layers panel

    Yes, you can move them to another layer the same way you move other objects (good idea)

    Yes, you can hide them with Cmd; the view menu or the eyeball in the layers panel or right-click, to name a few

    Yes, treat them as any other vector object.

    ChristopherButler Thank you for your answer, but I have too many hard to believe, you cannot reproduce this problem given that literally everyone in my studio and studio of my friend in another place, had to return to CC2014.

    I would like to spend time trying to figure what you suggested, but the reality is that the PSD even that work 100% well in CC2014, run absolutely anemic of the CC2015. • Layer.translate () to remove the layer

    Hello

    Had a strange problem trying to move layers with layer.translate (). I had a peculiar case of a bunch of 1px top and 400px wide dividers as simple artLayers stacked one on the other. So I tried to move vertically to the same spacing, i.e. first go a second 20px, 10px etc.. But what happened is that seemingly randomly a few layers disappeared after the translate () - operation. When the layer has disappeared, layer.bounds has been correctly [0, 0, 400, 1] before the operation and [0, 0, 0, 0] after the operation that is to say. pixels really seem to disappear. I also tried ensuring that there is no selection and adjust the layer selected before moving, but the same results.

    What helped was the greater height, for example add a shadow almost invisible. It's like Photoshop CS6 would be making a mistake of rounding in the calculation of limits and decide that he was bleeding. Anyone with a similar experience, workarounds?

  • Choose/change some color

    Hello

    I've been scripting in various Adobe products for a while, but simply, I'm stumped on this one.

    I have a series of PNG files which consist of different forms. The forms are black and the rest of the document is transparent.

    I wrote a script to retrieve all documents in a new Photoshop file and place each file/shape on its own layer.

    I then randomize the order of the layers. This theoretically generates unique genre of 'form'.

    I want to do now is change the black pixels of each layer of a different color.

    For example, all the black pixels in the layer 1 will turn red. All the black pixels of the layer 2 will be changed to green, etc, etc.

    As the black PNG forms are placed randomly in different layers, it will again give a unique and colorful model.

    I'm good up to this point. However, I can't figure out how to change black pixels at a specific color using the script interface.

    I thought by selecting only the black pixels and then fill it with a color. Could not know how to do this. Thought to apply a colour change script. Could not know how to do this. I even thought to apply a style or a filter. Could not know how to do that either.

    Any help or suggestions or examples would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you!

    Have you tried to use the ScriptingListener code for something like the Style color overlay layer for example?

  • Script to activate layers at random, what is visible to export?

    Hey, I'm looking for a script that runs on 10 (+/-) random layers that live in one folder, then exports that is visible. Basically, I have a folder of 150 layers and looking for a way to display random assortments of said layers. It would be great to be able to run a lot of like ten agreements at the same time, but I'm not sure how these scripts work.

    Try this. It records in the same folder as the file with all layers. It will save a flattened tiff. It assumes that the name of the group is "Clips". It runs a little slow, because it must navigate the file and turn off all the layers for each new image.

    #target photoshop
    var doc = activeDocument;
    doc.activeLayer = doc.layers.getByName('Clips');
    var gp = doc.activeLayer;
    var num = 10
    var fName = 'MyDoc'

    I have a chechecker composed of solid color adjustment layers. You can try this, they assume that there is no games of layers.

  • Satellite Pro P100-188: screen keeps blinking on and off at random intervals tension

    If anyone can help me with my computer so please PLEASE publish it because I have no idea of what is happening to her.

    I just bought a new laptop, a Toshiba Satellite Pro P100 - 188 Dual Core and I'm having a problem with it. Sometimes (not all the time) if the computer is plugged in or not, the screen flashes and repeatedly and then will slow down and its suspicious home.

    I have no idea what's wrong with it, I sent it to the store where I bought to be fixed and they just he sent to me, but the problem persisted. They say they have done tests on the machine and can't find anything wrong with it, but if that were the case, then it only would not have messed up again.

    What is just a software problem? The screen seems to flicker on and off at intervals irregular or not I'm in the middle of using it or not. All the drivers are the latest drivers and I admit now that I'm at my wits end.
    Any thoughts, anyone?

    Hello

    This seems very odd. However, you posted that this problem happens sometimes and not all the time.
    In my opinion I n t think that the software could be responsible for this issue.
    Perhaps one loses the connection cable? But believe me; It's not easy to say what's wrong without diagnostic tests.
    You have suggested that you have sent the unit to the store.

    I recommend you contact Toshiba service partner in your country. Technicians must check the laptop.

  • Screen freezes and blinks after the update to 10.11.6

    Hello!

    I have a Macbook Pro for mid-2007, which has helped a lot, was powerful and as stable as steel. I've never had or known major bugs since I have. Leopard 10.5 aka El Capitan 10.11.5, nothing to notice. The usual Mac you need: solid, stable and fast. I have an IntelCore 2 Duo, 4 GB of RAM, Samsung SSD 840 series, the old Fujitsu HDD for storage and a Nvidia GeForce 8600 M GT graphics chipset.

    But the nightmare started when install the last update of El Capitan: OS 10.11.6. Update was fast enough, just half an hour, and I'm going, with the last update. I was browsing Safari then my screen blinked once, and all that was displayed was frozen, except the mouse I could be moved. 10 seconds or about later, my system of defrost and I could use it. Until less than a minute later, new flashes and freeze again. And he began to be more bizarre than ever: Safari window displaying strange patterns, with little colored squares, bar menus, very noisy. Hard, I rebooted my Macbook Pro, hoped it was just a random bug. But no, it has reproduced, forever and ever, when browsing in Safari. So I decided to switch to Opera web browser just for a test day. And... nothing happened. No bugs, no frost, no flashing screens. I found the source of this Safari bug, so I went to the opera.

    Until yesterday, when you use the Finder to display images using Quicklook. Flashes and the gel. When you are using TweetDeck, same result, flashes & freeze. Even if you use Opera when scrolling too fast: flashes and the screen. When you use presentation and Launchpad. And if this bug to reproduce twice, the display shows a strange patterns, such as Cup-a part of windows, bar menu invisible, etc..

    It's VERY BORING. It is the first time in 8 years of work with Mac OS X, I have experienced this kind of graphic bug. The last time I encounter some bugs graphics but much more discreet, and it's in 2008 with OS 10.5.3, which was not very stable (the next version is much more stable).

    I know this has something to do with the Nvidia driver. The same lines are appearing in the newspapers when the bug happens, like this:

    > 31/07/2016 10:50:47, 000 kernel [0]: NVDA (OpenGL): exception channel! exception type = 0xd = graphic engine (GR error 5) error

    I don't want to hear that this has something to do with the graphic chipset, because before the 10.11.6 updated, I had NO gel or flashes of the screen at all. I had never actually had. And the motherboard has been replaced in 2010 because the chipset was dead.

    So, I don't know what to do. I guess I'll have to wait a few months the 10.11.7 next update, hoping that he can solve the display bug. And I wouldn't be able to install Sierra because... Well, my Macbook Pro is too old, so I'm stuck with El Capitan (but that's another story).

    Thanks in advance if you have any tips that might help.

    It is difficult to say if this is indeed caused by the last update or a (chance) sign is not material. You might be able to work around the problem by installing the gfxCardSatusand forcing your MacBook to use the GPU integrated or discreet, but not automatically switch between them.

    I'm tired of dealing with this old-tech, unreliable, expensive, overrated,... flat of the weight of the aluminum foil, so please find me a real solution/fix! I could easily put together a very decent PC that 'JUST WORKS' from what ive already spent trying to fix it.

    whenever he stops, I hear a click from the PSU (similar to the clicking sound when you press the power button on the front, commissioning). Trying next turn to the after he died, sometimes the power button will not turn on right away. I had to wait at least 10-15 sec to make it work. When it works sometimes stop with click 2 to 5 seconds after pressing the power button. He sometimes dies right after the chime. It starts also through without any problem.

    A few times when sometimes I watch the LED at the front of the Board (opposite the PCI fan) when he died, I see the two top LEDS blink once I hear that click, those who are highlighted red in the picture (not a picture of my Mac real). It also sometimes flashes when I press the button boot but used to power upward after that he died. Please, what that means?
