  I have a small question. I have a blackberry curve 8900 and a feature I like on the phone is the abilty UMA and gAn to make calls via the internet. I would get another blackberry with this ability. I was wondering are there other models like this or should I get another 8900?

  Regarding your question, there is already a Knowledge Base article that is associated with this error:

  KB34245 : A checkbox, and then a red x appears when a BlackBerry smartphone running BlackBerry Device Software 5.0 or BlackBerry 6 to 7 sends a message to a smartphone BlackBerry 10 via BlackBerry Messenger 7.0.1.23

   

  In my opinion # Workaround seems to be a little hard.  So I prefer you should first try to reinstall the BlackBerry Messenger application and see if it helps with your current problem.

  To make your homescreen go to Options > device > application > locate and delete BlackBerry Messenger from this list.

  Deleted once perform a battery pull reboot by removing the battery while your device is turned on, wait a min. and then reinsert this return.

  Finally, after the reboot, use your BlackBerry browser and go to www.blackberry.com/bbmdownload and download the most recent version available. After installation, restart your device once more, connecting with your BlackBerry ID and check if you are able to send BBM to one of these devices.

  I want to transfer my contacts from Z10 and Q10 on my device inherited from curve 9220. I have already backed up my data using the BlackBerry link and I know that my curve is not compatible with BlackBerry Link. Can you give me a step-by-step procedure on how to synchronize my contacts from my BlackBerry 10 devices to my Gmail account?   Even with an older BlackBerry which doesn't BB10 you can use the BB link to transfer information.

• Z10 blackBerry screen rotation and lengthen the time of a call incoming rings before the call to voicemail

  I have the BB Z10 and sincerely want to learn how:

  (1) rotate a screen that turned into a rectangle but must have back on the horizontal screen - have tried the lock refresh and rotation - both without success

  The rotation of the screen may depend on the application you are using, some applications only performed in specific, portrait orientation or landscape. Example: some games work in the landscape and the hub can automatically rotate between portrait and landscape.

  Regarding the amount of rings before answering machine, it is a service provider controlled setting, I suggest you contact your service provider for more information.

  I live in the Netherlands and my service provider is Vodafone but I don't get an update so my version of the os is 10.0.9.348 with this version it is not possible to download whatsapp blackberry appworld.

  Well, I know that Vodafone United Kingdom did.

  There are solutions for this.

  Try this:

  1. The Z10 your USB to PC connection and close connection.
  2. Open the back of the Z10 and Remove the card SIM (not card of support).
  3. Open a PC browser, and then reconnect the Z10 for your PC.
  4. In the PC browser, type the URL: www.blackberry.com/upgrades
  5. Scroll and click Find upgrades. * If your Z10 is off at this point, try now pressing and hold the power button on top for 10 seconds to switch the Z10 on, or to allow the Office to recognize the Z10 is connected.
  6. If the Z10 is recognised, and an update is available to you, you will be asked if you want to upgrade.
  7. Proceed to the upgrade, could last from one to two hours depending on your device data, etc. and the speed of data.

  I need some serious help here as soon as possible, I can't reach all my friends with Q10 and Z10 by bbm normal message on my 9900...   Sorry for the trouble, but I noticed this same problem with few other users, who could not send pings to any BlackBerry 10 there BlackBerry 7 devices.

  To solve your problem, I suggest to re-install BlackBerry Messenger!  To do this on your homescreen go to Options > device > application > locate and remove BlackBerry Messenger from there. After deleting to do a battery pull reboot as this device powered on remove the battery wait a min. then reinsert back.

  Finally, after the reboot, use your BlackBerry browser and go to www.blackberry.com/bbmdownload and download the latest available for your phone model. If device reboot prompt do then sign in with your ID BlackBerry even.

  I am extremely satisfied with the functionality of my Blackberry Bold 9900 and yet I am fun the idea of upgrading to a classic Blackberry and had a few questions, some of them functional, but one of them is technical:

  (1) I have granularily configured different contacts to the ring through "silent" while some people may sound through if I'm having a NAP or sleep. The classic allows you granularily configure the option of 'ring through' on a manually configured silent mode?

  (2) can the classic surely go to sleep and wake up one day of week / weekend schedule? My current phone doesn't sleep at midnight and wake up at 06:00 every night of the week and 02:00 to 09:00 on weekends.

  (3) back in the day of Blackberry older had a view "of today" where you could see the incoming email and tasks on the main screen. I couldn't get that with my Bold 9900, but I found this interesting app called BePopup which jumps to the top of my texts and emails on the screen as they come, without touching a button. Can you get automatically posted emails or texts with that with the classic?

  (4) the Blackberry plan I have with my provider uses the platform communications for my Blackberry RIM and so my e-mails are immediate, arriving minutes always quicker than other CC (iPhone and Android users) distribution lists. That being said, is the new classic uses what platform these other phones use for messaging connectivity?

  Any feedback regarding these essential functions would be greatly appreciated as it will help me in my decision. I am very happy with my 9900 and have little reason to upgrade... unless all of these options are available.

  I've almost finished my application development, and I am running in the Z10 emulator everything is ok, but when I try to run in the emulator of Q10, the background is black and the text is white it's the reverse with the Z10 background is black and white text. No explanation and the solution?

  Hey people,

  I created a Captivate 4 project with 3 water slides and a pool of about 70 questions question in which I am firing randomly into. I use IE7 and Flash 10. Publication in Flash 10. If I publish or display in the preview in a web browser, the project launches, plays the first 3 slides and then turns off when the first question should appear. Note: the summary of the project AND publish the project as a .exe launch and display all questions correctly. It ends up being a flash security problem. I went on the site of adobe and via the Adobe Flash Player Security Manager"I walked into the hand. SWF generated by captivate the file as a trust and then re-directed the published captivate project and it ran correctly. It is ... what should I do to put in place my project or flash so I can't do this for each new project that I deploy? I don't want to have users to have to go in and add what I deploy as an approved file. It's also a little confused as to why the first three slides played and he stopped the questions... seems as if she is not a file of confidence, that it wouldn't work at all.

  I think I might investigate a temporary web server to host on until things are ready. This is where it will help.

  Providing files to end users, if you copy files on you end up having to explain how to save files. Then have to walk them by setting the Flash security so they can watch properly. It becomes just a pain in the kazoo.

  If you can find a space on the server, you simply download the content and provide a link for users to view the content.

  Other than that, if you are insistent that the copy is the way to fly, I might suggest that you establish a place known where you want everyone else to copy their files. Perhaps C:\TestFolder. Then provide some instructions on how to configure the file with Flash less stringent security. Thence forward, anything that they copy in the file should need no adjustment of security.
