Rasterized images restless in Illustrator - HELP

When I open an image high resolution in artificial intelligence, they look a little distorted and choppy. They are jpeg files I put in order to envelope distort on a mesh. For some reason, any bitmap image I open with AI looks like this. However, when I open the same image with Acrobat Pro or Ps image looks perfect. The images are RGB in both applications.

More it be something in Illustrator which is the cause. The images being incorporated and cannot be linked, because they need to be deformed. I am runnung CS6 on iMac Intel Maveriks

If anyone can help I would be really grateful!

Thanks in advance

Illustrator only has not as accurate an overview for bitmap graphics. Usually the image will seem just softer. Is the image adjusted a lot?

I suggest you print this, or do a save for web and the 100% view in photoshop.

I see that your images are screenshots, cool post you the oriignal image and tell us if the image looks bad prior to coating & envelope distortion. You can also envelope distort or deform in photoshop, which I recommend, unless you absolutely have to use make sure with the top object.

  • Empty boxes instead of images in the compiled help file (.chm)

Original title: invisible Images in the CHM files

I recently noticed that images are no longer displayed when I read a compiled help file (.chm).  There is a big empty space where the image should appear.

I just noticed the problem today, but it could have been going on for a few weeks.  I say this because the SAME thing happens when I open an e-mail message that contains a picture in Outlook 2003 - no picture, just an empty area.  THIS problem lasts for a month or more.

Some facts which may be relevant: 1) operating system is Windows 7 Home Premium, Service Pack 1.

    (2) it is completely up to date with Microsoft Updates.

    (3) the CHM files are associated with the Microsoft HTML Help executable

    (4) until a few weeks ago, no problem was obvious.

    (5) after that I reload problem

    (6) problem persists after as I clear my browser cache (long shot I know)

    (7) when I print a page from a CHM file, the image appears on the page printed as expected.

    (8) OTHER USERS ON THAT COMPUTER DO NOT HAVE THIS PROBLEM!

    I look forward to suggestions,

    Mark H.

    Thanks for your response, Mann

I found the answer to my problem, and it's simple and infuriating at the same time.  It turns out that some time ago (months?), my Internet Explorer option to "View image" has been decommissioned (Tools > Internet Options > advanced > Multimedia > show pictures).  Because IE is not my default browser, I have not noticed.

Now that I have activated "Show image", I can display images in IE, compiled Help Viewer and Outlook.  Obviously these other applications use IE as their html Viewer (why not?), and are under the same options, adapted to the internet, as the application host (bad idea!)

    Upgrade, or -.

Convert raw DNG images using the Adobe DNG Converter program free of charge your Sony raw images. Then import the DNG versions in Lightroom.

"Adobe DNG Converter" is not part of Lightroom (or Photoshop), but a separate (standalone).

You "run" program, select the folder of images from Sony, select a folder for the output DNG files.

  • Linking (don't no coating using 'Place...) ") the image file in Illustrator? Possible? How?

I'm working on maps and need to exactly what I asked above.

To understand my need more, it's what I do:

-I'm composing maps from images that were merged into Pshop

-L'image is then placed in the file Illustrator using 'Place. '... "to draw our information selected and adding more

-Using layers and seen things tidy in the eyes, but:

    Issues of the workflow:

-l'image incorporated into Illustrator file ends by making it big!

-We are havign two copies of the Pshop, both within the Illustrator file (image) data

    Desire:

-If the Illustrator would have a 'link' (such as Indesign) method to bind the file and embed him not

    A way to do this?

    PS: I use CS6

    IdamIndia,

It is linked rather than embedded, policy link in the Place dialog (in the lower left).

Illy has used to open raster images at 72 DPI. Whether to the desired size, you can object > scale > uniform by the percentage corresponding to the desired 72 quotient of your PPI (multiply by 100).

To 300 PPI, use 30000/72 (just insert this number).

In order to change a part of an image as needed here, I would use the "Liquify" filter See below, it is quite easy. You just move the lower lip to be more elegant and not like the guys are salivating.

  • New on Adobe Illustrator-HELP

I'm looking for general comments on this software. I work for a travel agency in Louisiana and escort us hundreds of trips around the world throughout the year. We are trying to get the specific travel cards we promote on this trip routes. We found a route to another company who had a card on it, exactly as we wanted. So that the travel company referred us to a graphic designer, who said at that time, he used the creative suites Adobe with photoshop and illustrator. I looked inside and it seems that maybe what it takes. The only problem is we are a very small company and can't afford a graphic designer and have absolutely no experience with something like this.  I'm trying to figure out if it's worth the $ expenditures on this software so you have to be an expert in graphic design at work, he. When I say no experience, I mean as we know how to turn on a computer, how to work in Microsoft word/excel/power point and basic applications. Someone at - it recommendations on what we can use would not be so advanced? Or maybe an another adobe which would be a little easier?

    function() {return A.apply (null, [this] .concat ($A (arguments)))}

I'm trying to figure out if it's worth the $ expenditures on this software so you have to be an expert in graphic design at work, he.

If you're not an illustrator/designer and you have no Illustrator/designer on staff, you are barking completely the wrong tree. In fact, even if you were or had, I would say again that you think wrongly. Given your line of work, I would not even consider it appropriate for outsourcing. You really want to bear the cost and the delay inherent in making a chart of the card for each travel offer (and no doubt dozens of customer-specific changes)?

As a travel agency, you should think in terms of competitiveness, fretting not on ways to allow the generation of a bunch of specific purpose cards. Forget trying to become an Illustrator from one day to the next. Yours is a need of company internal critics. Being able to produce maps of itenerary on an on-the-fly, based on the needs should not be something that you consider same creating a continuous relative dependence to a graphic outsource.

You mentioned "of hundreds of cards." You are talking not just about graphics, you're talking about data. Illustrator is just an archaic general purpose page-design and construction manual program. It is a very inefficient tool for graphical data-dependent.

Use something appropriate. Go download the demo version of Microsoft Point Map, read the documentation and some basic tutorials. It costs about $300. You undoubtedly find valuable for your business way more than to simply an illustration of route map (which it can do). Your learning time will be invested a lot better here than in a silent drawing program. Point card is a graphical program dedicated specifically to the cards. Therefore, it is designed to interact with data in a spreadsheet or a database.

As for the latter, if your office is not competent enough already with a program database working group, I would highly recommend your also take a look at FileMaker Pro. In any business, you need a database application. FMP is immensely more affordable than the heavy and tedious Microsoft Access and more versatile and powerful, to start. For one example, which directly relates to your need:

FileMaker Pro includes a feature called a 'Web Viewer' object, which is essentially a graphic field which is used to a live web browser window. One of the files of demo which comes with the FMP is a typical contact database that contains a WebViewer. WebViewer is defined on GoogleMaps. You look through the records in the contact database, the WebViewer updates automatically to show the Google map of the recipient.

One morning recently, I was faced with a need to generate a list of the distances from a particluar address in different places about a thousand. Using this feature of basic (with a different web site) I built such a FMP solution and had the list well before the end of the day.

A working knowledge comfortable to use the Point and FileMaker Pro card at the same time would give you a serious competitive advantage over the other company if, in fact, that other company is dependent on an Illustrator help to acutally outsource for all his itenerary cards. And I'm talking about Office/trades here, not an entire career graphic learning curves.

  • Uploaded images are empty - please help

I bought 2 different images, but they upload empty.

32 k but with no picture.

I tried to download several times. I quit the game. I cleared the cache. I used a different browser.

I was able to download something earlier today, but now nothing. Help, please.

    Hi Teevee,

I have a license and download the two files on my end. The two files appear very well without any problems.

Please confirm if you open the files in Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator?

As these are .ai and it requires Adobe Illustrator files open. If you open the. Files HAVE / EPS in Adobe Photoshop, vector objects

are pixelated and this is probably the reason why it would appear white in your case?

You are right, that the file sizes are 32 KB and 56KO, however do not go by the size of the file and try to open them in Illustrator and let me know.

    Kind regards

  • Images RGB in Illustrator

    Hey people,

I have the following problem: I have an RGB image in photoshop (its a picture from a background of microscope, black background with outlines of a cell red and blue) and I copy this image to a document RGB in Illustrator. The image itself is rectangular, but I want her to be square. So, I created a black square (black in this case was black RGB: R = 0 G = 0 B = 0) and placed it behind my image.

On my screen, it always seems like it should be, no difference in the black colors of the image of microscopy and the black object in Illustrator. In the Illustrator file and after have exported them in .pdf format, there is no difference.

However, when I print the file with a color laser printer (it is a HP printer, cannot specify more, sorry about that), my picture is like "true black" and the square behind box is more "gray"... Change the color profiles in the Illustrator file (RGB to CMYK in data-> Document-> CMYK color mode) or in the options when I export the PDF did not help, the files still look great on the screen, and not on the paper printed. If there is another way to solve it, I'd be happy to have the image not in CMYK mode, because the contrast and the general appearance of the images is worse in the CMYK profile.

I hope some of you can help me! It is incredibly important solve this problem, because my pictures is finally going to get published, so I'd appreciate any help!

    Best,

    The_Bacillus_Guy

As mentioned in the Post #1, forget Illustrator. Come back to Photoshop and increase the size of the canvas to the desired place, filling the extra space with the blacklevel of the picture.

  • The image placed in illustrator is the right size, even if the original was resized in photoshop

Hi when I resize an image in photoshop and then "place" in illustrator 'placed' image is way smaller in illustrator than photoshop.

To give an example, I just created a canvas photoshop 900px x 900px with a resolution of 300ppi and filled with red color. Then, I saved this image to JPEG to jpeg format had a dimension of 900px x 900px.

Then I open an illustrator document format to 900px x 900px at 300 PPI and 'placed' red jpeg I created in illustrator into photoshop.

Now, I expect the "put" jpeg in order to cover the entire artboard in illustrator because the jpeg format is 900px x 900px and so is the artboard. However what is really happening is the image "set" is displayed, but is more than four times smaller in illustrator! In itself, this isn't a problem, but then when I scale up the size I want for example 900px x 900px, resolution begins to decrease and radically!

How can I fix this I want to be the size of a photo and "place" in illustartor to the appropriate size and 300 DPI so I can print it!

    Help, please! Thanks in advance!

    mrplod,

Ah, now I know what you mean.

Illy basically works points, 1 point = 1/72 of an inch, and the pixel of the camera (you can choose instead of points, inches, etc.) has the same value, 1/72nd of an inch. This ambiguity is part of the difficulty to understand all this.

    I chose an image which is 3508px x 2631px and 300 ppi.

An image that is 3508px x 2631px is just that: it comes to the size of the pixels, which means that it is made of 3508 x 2631 = 9 229 548 pixels (small squares), each of which can have its own color, no more, no less.

This image can be represented in any size in any application, and the size will determine its resolution in PPI (Pixels Per Inch). If you divide the size of 300 to get a resolution of 300 DPI, you will get 11.693 x 8.77 inches = 841.92 631,44 points/pixels x (included in the unit 1/72nd of an inch).

This means if you want that image to display a resolution of at least 300 PPI you get more 11.693 x 8.77 inches = 841.92 x 631,44 points/pixels (pixels as units to Illy).

If you wish to zoom at 300 DPI, you start with a great and original image.

    An image setting up a work plan of 900 x 900 points/pixels = 12.5 x 12.5 inches at 300 PPI will be 3750 x 3750 pixel (300 * 12.5 = 3750).

Are you sure it's the real size of the red square, you did in Photoshop? If so, I have no idea why it shows the way for it to Illy.

    Edit:

    I just read it again:

I saved then this image to JPEG to jpeg format had a dimension of x 900px 900px

When you export to JPEG, you can set a resolution, but you can also just save it to a real pixel (as in Save for Web & devices) for example size 900 x 900 pixels. Maybe it's when things go wrong.

  • Inspiron 1525 - problems with image restore factory (need help!)

    Hi all

I have a problem with my Dell Inspiron 1525, I can not solve... so please help me!

My Windows Vista Home Edition crashed while installing an update and now could not start more (I always get this bad blue screen during startup), so I would like to repair my laptop using the Dell factory image.

    I'm doing... .with related problems

    1. I press F8 during startup, but there is no entry "Dell factory image restore" or something like that (I even tried each one entry but nothing factory imagine restoration).

    2. by starting with a Ubuntu live cd, I can see that there is a partition that contains (among other files and folders) that image (:\dell\image\factory.wim) and a Tools folder where there are files imagex.exe and pcrestore.exe

3 one... Using a pen drive usb bootable containing a bootable back version, I Prime the system. I also put in the usb pen, ntfspro.exe in order to read the ntfs partition
    b. I went in D:\Tools and run this command:
    > PCRestore.exe --> but I received an error message indicating that this program cannot be run in dos mode
    c. so I tried this other person (I've read here in the Forum):
    > imagex/apply c:\dell\image\factory.wim 1 c:\ --> but I got the same error as above, it is impossible to run this program in dos mode

    4. in addition (and I think it's weird), I tried to boot with the dvd operating system shipped by Dell with the laptop: loading at startup of Windows, but just after the progress bar (green) appears at the bottom of the screen, it blocks showing again this bad blue screen!

Now I don't know what I can do!

    .. .Please help me!

Is there a way to restore the laptop with the Dell factory image?

    Thank you
    Orlando

    orlando1,

Thank you for using the Dell Community Forum.

When you press F8 and the menu, choose the option which reads 'Repair your computer' and follow the menu to restore the system.

This utility formats the partition of hard drive to the operating system before you restore the original image. This means data on that partition is deleted and cannot be retrieved.

If you create a second partition with a third-party utility, Dell Factory Image Restore remains unchanged until the partition of the image is not deleted.
