RAW files (NEF) from Nikon D7100 - work on 10 elements

An update or a patch has for the use of the raw files (NEF) of camera D7100 of Nikon?

D7100 available with PES 11 7.4 ACR needs: http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/camera-raw-plug-supported-cameras.html

The RAW files of this camera will not work in PES 10

Either you must upgrade to 11 PES or use the converter DNG 7.4 to convert your files to DNG so they used in PES 10

  • Could not open the raw files from Nikon D7100 / Photoshop CS5

I tried to download camera raw, and it will not open in CS5. My camera model is Nikon D7100. Please helpC

    Hi sarahm,.

Photoshop CS5 would not be able to read the raw files from Nikon D7100.

It takes atleast 7.4 version of camera raw that is supported in Photoshop CS6 and superior.

For example, you can upgrade to a new version of Photoshop, or free Adobe DNG Converter allows you to convert these Nikon files to DNG and then access them in CS5.

  • When Photoshop cc supports raw files coming from the Nikon d5500 has been added?

    Hello

When Photoshop cc supports raw files coming from the Nikon d5500 has been added?

IAM a happy Photoshop user, specially for my files raw... I find it frustrated that I can't work on my files at the moment...

    Greatings Danny

The d5500 has been added just launched and Adobe working on support. Can't say how long for sure, but it should be a month or two. Meanwhile, you can shoot in NEF + JPEG and set Camera Raw to open your JPEG files as well. Not much data, but will be better than nothing...

  • I can't open the raw files.  with nikon D7200?

I can't open the raw files.  with nikon D7200

You need 6.0 or later version, Lightroom, Lightroom CC 2015 or later version.

If you have the correct version of Lightroom, and you still can't import the RAW files, then you must describe the problem more in detail. If there is an error message, please quote the error message Word for Word unique exact complete.

  • Cannot open the NEF in Nikon D7100 with CS5 or DNG Converter files

I installed CS5.1 and it shows that Camera Raw is to 6.7.0.339.  I have a Nikon D7100 Camera Raw of 7.4, requiring that I downloaded and run the installer with no apparent error.  PS still shows that CR is at 6.7.0.339.  Then... I downloaded the DNG Converter - latest 9.6.   When I open and navigate to a folder where I have a bunch of files the D7100 NAVE it gives a message that says "the source folder does not contain any supported camera raw files.  I thought the idea of the DNG Converter to convert the NEF files in a 'standard' DNG, but I can't even it works.  I know that the folder contains the D7100 NEF files.  What I am doing wrong?

Did you by chance use other software to get the files from your camera to your computer like Nikon transfer? Thus is known to corrupt the raw during the shots.

If so this link should fix. You don't need to use because you can use the card reader to move them from the camera to your computer. If I am barking the wrong tree I'm sorry, it looks that you select the folder and not individual files from your description, that is good to do.

  • RAW images from NIKON D7100

Support of raw images NIKON D7100 is available? I bought elements and like the software, but it does not read the D7100 files. My D90 files older that she reads. So I have great photos with my D7100, but no chance to edit in a way that is acceptable

This camera is very new, so be patient. It should be supported in the next Adobe Camera Raw update for PSE11. In the meantime, you will have to use the Nikon software provided with the camera, maybe convert to tiff format if you want to edit in PSE.

  • Why my Photoshop removed the Raw file directly from Lightroom instead of asking me if I want to edit a copy?

I used to get a pop up every time I tried to retouch a photo in PS asking if I wanted to do it on a copy with Lightroom adjustments and he created me a TIFF file, but now it takes just the RAW file. How can I get it back?

I use the terrible PS CC 2015 and LR CC2015

    Hi Manolo,

If you right click on the Jpeg Image in Lightroom and don't edit it in Photoshop, which gives you this opportunity.

If you reference the above option in the screenshot, you receive only when edit you a Raw image from Lightroom to Photoshop format.

    Kind regards

  • using Lightroom 5.7, Raw files become my Nikon D810 corrupt when I select to view or edit.

. Updated Lightroom 5.7 to accommodate Nikon D810. On the import of RAW files to the files to be corrupted when they are selected to be read or edited.

I use Windows 7, 64-bit, with 8 GB of Ram.

    Any help would be appreciated.

Such problems are usually an indication of a hardware problem somewhere. Maybe a hard disk failing, a bad memory, card reader or camera cable card. Probably, they look fine in the camera because the camera shows the JPEG preview which is part of the raw file.

  • Why lightroom will not open my raw files (NEF)? I shoot with a Nikon d5500 has been added.

I just did a photoshoot and lightroom tells me that my files are not supported by lightroom. He said that lightroom is up-to-date. I have a subscription to the cc can't use lightroom. Please tell me that there is an easy solution

There is an update of Lightroom since the d5500 has been added has been released. I suspect will add it to the next update or upgrade. In the meantime, you can use the DNG 8.8 converter to create negative digital copies that can be opened with the current versions of Lightroom.

  • My Raw file goes from 25 MB to a 2.8 MB jpg, during the recording of ACR?

    Screen Shot 2014-09-30 at 9.30.25 am.png

These are the parameters used and no resizing has been done on the image just a few color tweaks. I saw that there is a conversion from 16 bits to 8 bits too, that I don't understand? While I'm very familiar with the side of Photoshop and ACR arty I'm new to these technical details so kindly explain. I understand that there is a significant fall in the size of the file when converted to jpg format and I understand the reasons why, but I just need to check that I don't inadvertently something to make that even worse.  I am wanting to possibly resize this image to print as A2 size so the concerns.

Works as expected. JPEG is a compressed "lossy" format, so why the JPEG format is much smaller compared to your original RAW image, which is also "no loss" as it gets. (JPEG does not support 16-bit also unless someone can correct me on this.)

It goes without saying, but don't get rid of your RAW images.

  • Problems with speed reading (too fast) in Premiere Pro (files imported from Nikon D4S and D810)

Hello. I installed first Pro CC and I imported video files of my cameras Nikon D4s and D810. During playback, the speed is too fast, and I don't understand a word because of the speed. Why is this? The program misinterprets the fps rate? I tried to change the speed with SHIFT + j or l, but speed of basis for the clips are simply not true. Someone at - it advice for a frustrated new user of this program? It wasn't a problem with Premiere Elements or Finalcut.

  • RAW files from my EOS T3i. My computer is Windows 7-64 bit.

I want to use the Raw files from my EOS Rebel T3i. When I went to load the Canon driver to convert this it turns out there is no driver for my computer operaing system. I have a fairly normal computer with Windows 7-64 bit. They do support the 33 bit processing. There seems to be no support for Windows 8. Now what? Is there a driver outside sonversion, should I use instead? It's will be supported for Windows 8 in the near future?

Default method of Windows 7 to display RAW files is to use the Canon RAW Codec, a utility that must be installed on the computer and that has (or had, I mean, I knew) No 64-bit version. For 64-bit Windows 7 cannot display files RAW except via a program, usually a photo editor, specified by the user.

Windows 8 has its own conversion utility, the Microsoft Codec, which allows it to display different suppliers, including the Canon RAW files. The Microsoft Codec works on 32-bit versions and 64-bit of Windows 8. While the Microsoft Codec is used by default to display RAW images, the user can replace it with a photo editor, just like in Windows 7.

None of this applies to the actual editing of RAW files. Many (most?) photo editors will run in 32-bit versions and 64-bit Windows 7 and Windows 8. An exception is the version 4 of Digital Photo Professional, which runs only under the 64-bit versions of operating systems.

  • Convert Nikon D500 raw files

The converter was working before my duty to replace my Nikon D500, suggestions. ? I'm sure it's something simple.  I have redownloaded the converter and the problem persists > help please.

    Happy to help you.
