Raytrace?

I experiences just this weekend and thought wouldn't it be sweet to have a nice slow animation to the attached Director with models with raytrace. Some thoughts of nice etc. When I exported my max W3D files with materials raytrace attached to some various and then imported objects in Director that I found myself with poster, model "buggy".

Does anyone know a way around this scenario so that I can use raytrace materials on items imported to the Manager or Director he provides it's own version?

Not rush on this one guys is just an interest.

Thank you

Stephen

CANNOT DO.
Director does not support this kind of materials.

Hi, I use AE on an Asus laptop with NVIDIA GeForce 740 M. Recently I did an animation with ray tracing and I was working fine but at one time, I saw this message: paged memory mapped for Raytracer. Your project may exceed the limits of the cards. Try close to other applications. Try to update the CUDA driver. (5070::2).

Anyone know why this message appears if I worked well?

    Thank you

The message appeared when I was making the project.5070-2.png

This means what it says - you are out of memory, even if only temporarily. Most likely the tesselation was too or things like samples of your memory exhaustion motion blur. If it worked regardless of the message, that I would not make too much of it...

  • AE cc2014 CUDA Raytrace does not support GTX970? Why is this?

I bought a new pc with a good GPU system, and now I can't connect my AE to my card?

    This is ridiculous

    It is now available?

You didn't read the link, did you?

No, it is not currently available.

In the next update (which will be available "later this year"), the CUDA library will be updated. This does not mean that these cards are officially supported, but it does not mean that they will probably work to expedite the raytraced render engine.

Remember, the ray-traced rendering engine is only one (old) way to make the 3d objects. It has nothing to do with normal use AE, so for 99.9% of users, but that matters not at all. Ray-traced rendering engine is actually obsolete. Read here: http://motionworks.net/after-effects-3d-future/

  • Layers of raytraced 3d - rendered extremely slow - HELP

    These are my computer specs:

    I7 - 4790 CPU @ 3.60 ghz

    16 GB OF RAM

    64-BIT

    WINDOWS 8.1

DEDICATED NVIDIA GRAPHICS CARD - GeForce GTX 745 with 4 GB of RAM

I'm trying to make a one minute clip that has about 10 seconds of raytraced 3d layers. I went to the media encoder cc 2014 with a high flow rate (h.264). It gives me an estimated time greater than 8 hours, I don't know why it takes that long. Y at - it a specific setting I can change to make it faster?

FYI: With any other clip that does not raytraced 3d layers, it makes really quickly.

    any help is appreciated.

    Eddie4975 wrote:

Well, I did not notice any significant difference. This is perhaps due to the fact that I went to media encode as opposed to AE? After all CPU to the GPU changes were made in AE.

As Rick says, that's the problem! Try rendering in AE (for a codec of production, even once, as Rick suggests) and see how it goes.

Today, we released the after effects CC (12.1) update, which adds several GPU to the list of maps that After Effects will use for the 3D converter GPU acceleration traced the RADIUS, including the K6000.

  • CS6 AE Raytrace problem

I'm getting weird lines and forms within my text when you use the 3D raytrace rendering engine After Effects CS6. I tried to use the RAM Preview, made, rough, full resolution, turn off lights, etc. Tried both GPU and CPU. Any idea of what is the cause?

    My specs:

Core i7, 12 GB RAM, Windows 7, Nvidia GTX285 up drivers to date.

You put your dark text on top of the block without enough separation. The converter can not simply decide what polygon is above the other. Offset the text somewhat.

The ray-traced rendering engine is only for creating 3d objects. It will not what anyone faster. The ray-traced rendering engine is also considered to be obsolete. There are much better ways create 3d in After Effects now as Cinema 4 d comes free with After Effects.

After Effects uses the GPU for very little. See the following page: features GPU (CUDA, OpenGL) in After Effects

  • GT750 vs. GTX790... rendered 3D raytraced

Adobe recommends a graphics card with 3D accelerated rendering drawn with RADIUS, GTX series, I wonder how would be a graphics card of the GT series which did not accelerate traced to rendered 3D RADIUS affect CC would be the shortcomings evident in the rendering speed, or it would affect the final quality of the video? Below are all of the other components, so I would be really grateful if you could give your expert opinion on this issue.

This is a feature used obsolete 3D only for a limited set of 3D motion graphics features. I recommend you ignore it. There are a lot of better ways to work with 3D in After Effects.

  • What graphics card to a supported gpu raytraced render

Do only the designated requirements system made of gpu for graphics cards support? I'm asking because they are not the latest models and adobe could include some of the newer models with an update, couldn't they?

    N °

There will never be of any other work performed for the traced the beam 3D rendering engine. This is a progressive obsolete feature for ways of working with 3D in After Effects.

To work with 3D in After Effects, we recommend that you use Cinema 4 d (which is now included with After Effects) or one of the many plug-ins 3D such as Zaxwerks, courage, video Copilot and so forth--depending on exactly what you are trying to accomplish.

  • GPU taken in charge for the raytraced 3D rendering engine

I might want to buy a Dell computer with the type of 'NVIDIA GeForce GTX 750Ti 2 GB DDR5 memory' video card, but I can't find it in the list of GPUS supported for Ae. Is it supported or not?

The thing is, on the Dell Web site other computers are available that are especially adapted to the use of EI. One of these computers has a kind of video card "2 GB AMD over-pants W5000™", which is not in the list of your GPU supported. So I was wondering if the GPU-list support is complete.

Do not make buying decisions based on the traced the beam 3D rendering engine. This is a deprecated feature which is being phased out and replaced.

Yes, the system requirements page has an updated list of GPUs supported for this feature.

No AMD card cannot possibly be on this list, given that the feature requires CUDA, which is found only on Nvidia cards. It is one of the major reasons that the feature is being abandoned.

What modern map you get will be great for After Effects, because After Effects uses the GPU to almost nothing, and the requirements for features in OpenGL are a little weak.

  • When will we see the exit 12.1? It will be the most stable raytrace engine?

Hi, I m in the middle of a project were I m using the engine of traces of ray much. Especially when all my layers are visible or when rendering of the project the ray trace engine blocks a LOT. So I have to work extremely careful to remove. I ve read some of the release notes for 12.1 and it seems that some of these issues can be fixed? Also, it seems like a very common problem.

I m using OSX with an iMac with 680MX 2012. I know that the card is not supported in the current version of AE, but without using the gpu rendering takes 7 hours instead of 30 minutes per sequence, so I had to add to the list of supported cards.

I cross my fingers that these problems have been addressed include paragraph 12.1, and I hope that his will be communicated in the near days? Anyone know?

The update after effects CC (12.1) was released in October, as shown here:

    http://Adobe.LY/AE_CC_12dot1_details

The GTX 680MX is added in this version, as described here:

    http://Adobe.LY/AE_CC_12dot1_GPU

This update includes a completely new library for 3D rendering engine, traced to the RADIUS.

  • Plotted in 3D rendering engine Department. Still images rendered in animatons.

    Hello!

I would like to ask the pros how can I optimize the rendering of animations process?

I have a publication with text extruded with 3D engine layer traced to the RADIUS. There is an intro (text) and outro (text disappears). Between the intro and outro are just still frames, without any movement. When I go, I see how after the intro of rendering, each still image unique rerenders again and again. It is increases rendering time significantly, why it is happening? How can I optimize the rendering process? Is it possible for AE render a single image still animation, produce this next image is the same and jump rerender, continue to render fragments of an animation at the end next?  Maybe there's a cache or something else that needs to be enabled?

The AE version is CC 2015.3 (13.8.1.38)

    Mac OS X 10.11.6 (15 G 31)

    24 GB RAM

    3.2 GHz Intel Core i5

    CUDA driver version: 7.5.30

    Thank you!

3D Raytrace rendering engine uses a brute force method and makes each image. Your only option would be to pre-rendered sequences of images and use them.

  • New PC hunting... which specifications are best for me for Adobe?

I recently subscribed to the cloud... but my current pc is not the best.

Should what features I look for when buying my new desktop PC?  Is the priority of a RAM or maybe it's a video card?  Want to know what you think.

For the work of EI, you can at least two SSD (one for OS and software) and the other for the cache.

Single base speed is more important than the number of processor cores.

That said, you should have four or more hearts and you can at least 4 GB of RAM by heart of your processor.

You'll want a reasonable, modern NVIDIA GPU, but nothing crazy. Æ it does not use for many. The latest version (CC 2015.3, also known as the version 13.8.1) has three effects that are accelerated by GPU (not counting the raytraced render obsolete engine).

Again, it is JUST the recommendations for the current version of AE. First use the GPU much more (and future versions of AE will probably use it more too).

    Jamie

Could you please explain in more detail what you ask the subject? A screenshot or two might help.

If you mean the box, I think you are referring, it is only with regard to the acceleration of the converter drawn with RADIUS.

The ray-traced rendering engine is considered obsolete by the After Effects team. I would recommend against using it at all. (There is a much stronger option for the creation of 3d with EI CC versions geometry).

Other than the raytraced render engine, After Effects uses the GPU for very little. The most recent version published a few weeks before (CC 2015.3 - a version of AE 13.8.0.144 also known as) has three native effects that use the GPU (sharpness, the Gaussian blur new and Lumetri), but other that, native AE really don't use the GPU for a large part.

Now, if you have third-party plugins (like 3-d video Copilot element, red giant universe, ShapeShifter of courage, etc.), they will be able to use the GPU without regard to the requirements of the rendering engine After Effects traced to the RADIUS.

  • For AMD gpu Mercury playback engine

    Hi all

I have a Dell system, specs are as below.

    Intel i7 3.2 GHz processor

    8 GB Ram

    2 GB AMD Radeon 8670

    1 TB HARD DRIVE

Now the mercury playback engine (Hardware) option is grayed out. I have to use mercury engine software for reading only. I would like to know how to turn on hardware acceleration, when I m using Adobe Premiere or After effects? I m using Adobe After effects and Adobe Premiere version - CC 2015

Any suggestions will be much appreciated.

    Thanks in advance!

    Best regards,

    Deepak.

The first three screenshots are just what about the ray-traced rendering engine. This has nothing to do with the element. If I were you, I would check the box to never show again this caveat and ignore it completely. The team of After Effects considers that rendering engine to raytraced as obsolete and he isn't going to get any development more, so don't worry it. We have a much more powerful way to work in 3d with After Effects now. For a series of training on the use of the version of Cinema 4 d that comes free with AE, see this course.

The other two error messages are associated with Premiere Pro and SOUL, so I'll get over those professionals in this forum.
