Razor trim to bottom shape

Hello

Is there a simple way to cut a razor to a form of substance?

There are many options if I copy the Green oval and paste it again on top, but is there a way to do this in one shot?Screen Shot 2016-01-12 at 8.16.13 pm.png

Select the two objects take the form and Alt-click tool on the parts that extend beyond the Green oval.

As part of my work (tourism marketing), I do cool things around the city, I live in (Port Douglas in the beautiful tropics of the Australia) and put together a short video clip as if I'm a tourist. Recently I went out to the great barrier reef diving and stock video I have in diving has its image on it. While we are a credit to the company at the end of the video, we would prefer not to look too commercial and maintain this casual, tourist appeal. I asked the company for video without brand, but if they are not able to get for me, is it possible to remove it myself? Or trim the bottom of the clip out and then eventually to resize? I tried to figure it out all afternoon and so far no luck! I am hoping there is a tricky method, I've not yet met...

    Thank you!

Seems good. Here are the things that I noticed:

    • Learn about the Transition at ~ 00; 00; 21; 00, as something seems a little off here
    • Call diving Chief climbing back on board too long at ~ 00; 00; 32 00
    • Audio of the dive leader aboard in galley has too much noise, but the other shots, it is not so bad
    • L cuts with dive Manager good captain, as you show some gift cut, during their conversation continues

Well done and thanks for sharing. I really found nothing wrong with the UW sequences. Nice work!

  • problem making animated fire

I made a model room with a fireplace and placed a grid and newspapers in the area of the combustion chamber.  I first tried to fire with a particle system and got a pretty flame... to - that I placed in the Firebox above the newspapers.  Then it was only made in a place cut by the contour of the logs seen in the middle of the room.  It seemed even more closely under an oblique angle or behind fireplace (with the normal, directed opposite the camera room and fireplace.  I tried redirecting everything, thinking it was a normal problem, but could not make any changes to the fire in a desirable angle.

Then I tried a texture animated on a plane and got a similar result.  The models look good, mapping normal and Max are good, but Director plane with lively texture is only visible angles weird and generally trimmed by the shaps of the models behind the aircraft.  I have a similar to animation applied texture the pendulum of a clock in the room that works very well, but so far, all my efforts to start a fire in the fireplace look pretty dismal.

Suggestions to make this work for effects other than the application of a texture to the walls of the combustion chamber?

The particles used in the fire using a semi transparent texture.  Will there be another semi transparent texture in your scene?  Director is struggling to determine which of two semi-transparent textures to render first of all, if there is no overlap between them (question of z-buffer).  Could be the source of your problem?

  • Download gTranslate extension. How can I place a shortcut icon on the taskbar module at the bottom of the page so that I can use it?

I added the gTranslate for Firefox extension. It is clearly shown in the list of current extensions that I have. I tried to place a shortcut icon on the toolbar at the bottom of the page module (back side where the page zoom-in/zoom icons are displayed).

Procedure, I used: right click on the empty space on the toolbar at the bottom of page module. Click "Customize". Opens the square shape of the icons, but I don't see anything for the extension of gTranslate, I could "drag / drop" on the toolbar of the add-on.

Ask for help with this issue.

gTranslate not icons. You must select the text, right-click and hover the mouse over the menu item translate... and wait that the translated text to appear. You can also change languages in the submenu, or alternatively via Firefox Tools (Alt + T) > Addons > Extensions, gTranslate Options.

  • Y650 missing piece from the bottom in the Center.

I have a Lenovo Ideapad Y650. On the bottom in the Center, there was a piece in the shape of x. This morning I looked at my phone and the piece was missing. I called tech support and they told me that because I lost the piece, they would consider of it customer damage. They also told me that I have to send my laptop to replace the entire lower cover. They said it would cost me $160 even though I have the guarantee of accidental total coverage. I was wondering what was the small part and if it is useful to make the lower lid replaced.

as I've seen, there is no big problem but still it is up to you.

  • Cut shapes from other forms

I'm not sure of the best way to go about this suggestions so very welcome!

I have a layer containing a large number of forms. Above that, I have another layer containing many forms.

I want to cut when higher forms cut across at the bottom.

Now, I tried to use less prominent, but I can say it only lets remove you higher forms of a single shape on the bottom. The forms are too numerous to repeat duplication and make less front for each.

I don't think I can use masks, either the file is for a screenshot, with each layer being a separate color none overlap.

Is there an easy way to get what I'm after?

    Use for garnish.

    Hello everyone

I hope you can help me, I've searched for hours on google for a solution to my problem of techno!

I got a new computer and was re-installed Dreamweaver and since then its strange.

On the necessity of Dreamweaver to create hot spots with tools in shape. I found the properties panel, but not the formatting of the tools (circles, rectangles, etc.) to create forms.

Also, the properties are not at the base, as I'm used to and looks different from how it was before.

Thanks for anyone who can save me from my misery!

You are in Live View mode (you can tell because of the blue line and tab). The Image Map tools have not been worn on view design yet, then you need to click the small arrow next to Code. Split | Live and choose Design to access these tools.

For the Properties window down once again, click on and drag the tab named (not the bar, but the tab in the bar) in the Properties window to the bottom of the image of the application until you see a highlight. Release it and it will remain at the bottom of the image of the application.

  • Form of EI, stroke with trim paths bug.

I'm having this problem with shape AE layers. See the image. I have one group of multiple paths, one shot, then a trim paths.

the paths of toppings is lively and during the animation, I get these horizontal tears in the race... jumping in all directions. Once the animation is complete, there is no more jumping, but the tear lines persist.

It's even worse, because I add modifiers of path (path wiggle, etc...)

but they will NEVER, under any circumstances.

so... did someone else knows it?

Is there a known... cause not to mention it's a bug?

This problem is fixed in update fixes after effects CC 2015.3 (13.8.1). This update, available now, can be installed by using the creative Office Cloud app, or by choosing Help > updates within any Adobe application.

Now I am trying to only select ONE point (bottom center) of the circle shape and move it, instead it also moves upward to the center one, I don't want to. I searched the internet but it did not help me.

You do not have the path of selected sahpe, only the bounding box of the transformation of the group. as parametric elements must be converted into editable classic tracks. Read the help.

  • Need help to transform a shape layer in a layer mask blur adjustment

I understand how to do a blur mask on the image adjustment layer, so it blurs the images below, which is essentially what I'm trying to do, but in this case, I already have the shape layer (or rather imported from Illustrator > converted to a shape layer) and is in a nested composition.

First of all, is it possible to blur the images of a composition if the adjustment layer is nested in a composition of the child, or the adjustment layer must be in the parent publication; the composition is blurry?

Second of all, how we simply take a form that they have already created and use that for a mask, in this case, a mask that will blur everything below?

    Forum thanks!

There are a few things that are not effective in your workflow and your approach.

Lets talk first about the Illustrator files in After Effects. Firstly, absolutely the only reason you would ever convert a layer to illustrator in a form would be to use animator tools found in the add menu at the top of the shape layer properties in the timeline panel or to animate a Bézier path on this layer. There is no other advantage in converting a vector layer to a shape. NONE.

Second, if you want to hide an adjustment layer then you can draw the mask directly on the adjustment layer or any layer with transparency, including an illustrator layer, layer photoshop, any hidden layer or layer shape directly on top of the adjustment layer and use this layer with transparency as an Alpha or Alpha reverse cache by approach to the adjustment layer.

You can use the luminance values of any layer that has no transparency that a luma or reversed hides by luma approach. The white areas offer transparency with luma standard. IOW, if you have a radial with white in the middle and black gradient on the edge and you use a luma matte and white will be transparent on the layer below.

Standard caches only affects the layer immediately below the source.

Adjustment effect layers each layer directly under the adjustment layer. Masks and caches can be used to control the effects of an adjustment layer.

You can also use masks on any layer to control the effect added to this layer if you have a recent version of AE. You will find the option under options to Compositing.

If you have any layer with transparency or the strong luminance values, you can use Auto Trace to generate a cache for this layer based on transparency or luminance. Any way shape mask or Bézier path can be copied and pasted to another layer.

We will take your last question now. You should be able to answer. To use any shape you created as a mask, you use this layer as a track matte.

We will change that approach a bit and assume that you have created a shape layer by using the pen tool or converted an Illustrator layer to a shape. You have a path that you can be found by selecting the shape layer and by pressing twice the key U. find the path you want to copy, rotate options path to reveal animation controls and to set a single keyframe and then copy (Ctrl/Cmnd + c). Even of the forms created with parametric tools like star, ellipse, rectangle can be converted into a path by right-clicking the shape and selecting convert to paths. When you have copied the path put you on the layer where you want to paste the path, select the pen tool to begin to draw a mask, click anywhere on the layer and paste it (ctrl/cmnd + v) and that you have created the mask. This works for forms and masks on any layer.

Here's a bet to keep everything by copying and pasting masks. The size and position of a path is calculated from the center of the layer and has no relationship to scaling, rotating, or the position of the layer. If you drew a mask on a layer that is resized to 50% and moved to the top right of the comp and rotated 45 ° and then paste this path to any other layer you will NOT get a path in the same position and the same size as the layer sampled in the model. You end up with a path that match if every sampled layer transformation properties have been reset and the layer was at the center of the model and the rotation and scale were normal. You must pay attention to this issue by copying and pasting traces of Bézier.

I missed a question type. If you nest or call a layer previously and there is an adjustment layer in the main computer it will affect all layers below. If you dial before a layer and a top adjustment layer then only layers in the nested model will be influenced by the adjustment layer.  I replied before but wanted to make sure.

BE very careful when you watch YouTube tutorials on workflow because a growing number of them is bad teaching techniques and pointing you to the bottom of the dead-end alleys. Make sure you vet your training.

If you have any other questions the best place to find good community resources is to type a word in the search help field in the upper right of the AE. For example, if you typed layer adjustment or masks, you would find a lot of very good advice on how to use these features.

  • Transform a shape layer with several groups/paths in another?

    Hello

I'm trying to turn the form A B-shaped into aftereffects.

    shapes copy.jpg

Both are drawn in illustrator, and I imported into aftereffects and diverted path to forms.

At the moment I do a key framing color and the path in the sticky on the form A and form B. From there I will meet with two questions.

    (1) for now I have to manually open each group, every path, every feature of color until I'm able to keyframe them. After that I have to paste the keyframe of the track and keyframe colors individually to the corresponding group. It's doable, but I have to turn the form in 10 more other variants. Just want to check is there a shorter way to the key all the way to access and color properties frame. And then copy all of the keyframes from one form to the other.

    Screen Shot 2016-04-21 at 2.33.34 PM.png

    (2) I noticed that not all the points on the path are created equal. I think that the "starting point" is noted with an extra box compared to other points.

    Screen Shot 2016-04-21 at 2.47.02 PM.pngScreen Shot 2016-04-21 at 2.47.14 PM.png

As the "starting point" of a path is different from the rest, the transition has become weirdshape.gif.
Can I check if someone knows how to change the "starting point" to another point on the same path? Or y at - it another way of fixing?

Finally, if there is more easy morphing shapes to another, I'll be happy to listen. Thanks a lot ~

I would do this kind of thing differently and 90% of the work in Illustrator.

I would like to begin by drawing a path in Illustrator, to duplicate the path and to change the size and position and change the color of the outline of the color I wanted for the inside of the first form at the beginning of the animation.

I use then the gradient tool to create a blend between the two forms specifying the number of steps, so my first form duly filled out for one frame looked like this:

I would then do the same for my second form by using different colors, so I got this:

With the two mixtures on you will see this:

The upper mixing layer is where your animation will start and the bottom is where your animation should end.

The next step is to select Merge layers and spread the mixture, if you find yourself with two groups:

Here comes the fun part. Select groups, and then specify the number of steps you want as long as the number of images that you want in your animation. In this case, I want a second 1 transition and my comp is 29.97 FPS, so I selected 30.

    Now spread the mixture:

We should end up with a group at layer 1 with 30 subgroups:

Ungroup the higher group only then deselect all layers and select a single layer, then choose release to layers (sequence).

now select all sub layers in the layer panel and drag it above layer 1. Layer 1 is now empty, so you can delete:

Save the file HAVE and import into AE as a model with the size of the layer keeps selected:

[Open the model, select all layers, move the a CTI frame to the right by pressing Ctrl/Cmnd + arrow to the right, then press Alt/Option +] to set the out point of all layers and then the wizard from keyframe to the layers in sequence without overlapping:

I usually go to the point of exit of the background layer and press N to set the work area exit point, then cut the comp to work area.

This model is then nested in your main comp and you can activate the time-remapping, so you can change the speed and use CC force motion blur to smooth animation.

You will find it much easier to create the morph to a shape layer in Illustrator those in AE, you don't need to convert anything to forms and most of the work is done for you before you start. Total time to create this project with about 1/4 of the time it took to create this post.

  • How apply shadow to a custom shape?

My tutorial says that if you add a custom shape to a layer that contains text with a shadow on her effect, it will automatically drop shadow.  But when I tried to do, he did another layer of the form.  (A) is it possible to add the shape of the text layer?  or (B) how to set the effect to imitate the drop shadow, but on the custom shape layer. And (C) is there a reference I can study so I can learn all about the effects?

    (A) good, so not that I'm sure that you cannot create a form on a text layer.

    (B) there are two simple ways that I would click on the small arrow next to the layer of text with shadow on it and that, so Alt click and drag of this effect on the shape layer or create a group (the icon of the folder at the bottom of the layers panel), you should find a shadow effect Drag the text layer so the layer shape in it then click and drag the shadow effect of the text to the Group layer.

    (C) there are many tutorials photoshop online. If you are looking to really learn photoshop, try deex.info (they are paid) you can see Phlearn on YouTube or really just look at the effects on YouTube.

  • How do I put the buttons at the top and bottom of a page

    Hello

I have a requirement that each of the 4 buttons be placed at the top of the shape and the bottom of the form as well.  As I tried, I could not find a way to do it.  I use APEX 4.2.2.

The layout of the page is / < should be > as follows:

    Area of the header

    -various Articles

< buttons should go here >

    Region 1

    -various Articles

    Region 2

    -various Articles

    Region 3

    -various Articles

< buttons should also go here >

Currently I have buttons in a region called the buttons after the region 3.  I tried to place 1-3 areas in my region of buttons (buttons has been defined as their parent region) and then set the property position button up and down, but that just gave me 2 sets of buttons with nothing between them (regions 1-3 should be between them).  The point of view of each of these regions is body of model Page (3)

So, how can I address my page have two sets of buttons, as shown above?  I know there is a much better way than to create a new set of buttons with dynamic here of actions/process/validations/etc.

Thank you very much for your help!

    Jason.

EDIT: The theme has been applied to this app is a custom theme that was created by the theme of Cloud applications.

Cloud Apps is theme 101.  My area of container using the model 'Button region Untitled' and the HTML in the definition is:

    #CLOSE # PREVIOUS # ##DELETE NEXT ##EDIT ##CHANGE # CREATE # CREATE2 # EXPAND ##COPY # HELP #.
    #BODY #.

This is going to sound strange because you want to display buttons, but the region without title button model is not appropriate for what you're trying to do (it is designed to display buttons in positions defined by the chains of substitution in support of button cell). Stranger still, in a theme derived from issue 20, the best model in the region for a container's region without buttons and title. That this legacy theme uses HTML tables-based layout, the jQuery selector that is required in the JavaScript code is more complex:

    $('#container_body td.t20RegionBody:first')
      .append($('#container_body td.t20RegionBody:first table:first'))

  • Knocking out a contour shape using the router - impossible?

I have a vector shape (A) that has a line around it. This is a copy of another form (B). The race is here to create a gap between the B form and content (C). When I use Shaper tool to try and shape knockout from the shape of the bottom, that knock down the form, the remnants of the race and is not stunned. Does anyone know how to get the race knockout as well?

Expand the race (object > Expand) before making the coup de grace.
