RAZR Dock volume

I picked up a standard dock for the Razr today and I noticed something weird on the volume. If I have my headphones plugged directly into the dock itself volume is much lower and have the media volume all the way to the top. When I have headphones plugged directly on the phone, the sound levels are normal.

I really wish I could just keep my headphones plugged into the back of the dock - any ideas on how to increase the volume of the docking station?

The net is that taking on the quay is an unamplified line, not one taken of headphones or amplified speakers.

  • Droid Razr: Select the Dock Type always appears now

    Question started a few days before, around 2012 9-10 March. Got this Razr again this past January and this 'Select Dock Type' in the unlock (when the camera selection) screen or appears when opening other applications (for example a geo-cache app, sms text etc.). It doesn't matter if you tell him to remember the setting.

    Another symptom, status bar indicates "HDMI plugged" while in fact, I don't ever connected to an hdmi cable.

    When you try to use the camera, there is no display so you can see what you're shooting. It is the front or rear or video modes.     I had the same problem when I bought my Razr last November. The notification started appearing after a week. It was definitely a hardware problem. Initially, the technical support of Verizon decided to send me a replacement phone. A few days later, I got a Razr renovated with a great sketch on the side. I sent it back, thinking that I have would address rather the annoying pop up. However, I finally gave and asked another phone of replacement in January. Still, I got a refurbished phone, but at least it looked brand new. My story probably won't help you much, but you have more chance to talk to the Verizon rep.

  • What to do if the Droid Razr recognizes not his ' Dock

    After visiting the local VZ corporate, to fetch a long battery life for the imminent arrival of a Droid 3, my razr has ceased to recognize the dock.

    I then remembered that, when I plugged my Razr on the time of the first docking station, it did the same until the power cable is connected.

    I've been browsing the forum here among others trying to figure that this somewhat strange question out and I finally decided to see if anyone here has an answer. I recently bought an iPod video 5.5 opportunity generation 30 GB (A1136, model #: PA446LL, SN: * V9N) out of craigslist. The iPod seems to be fully functional, aesthetically and hardware wise. Up to what I tried to listen to a song via the headset. To my surprise, there was no sound coming through the socket. If I turned the volume all the way to the top, I could hear a slight static noise (not related to music), so I guess that is under tension. I read online that this can be caused by welding cracked on the audio decoder or dac, so I tried pinching right/bottom right corners without changing the static at all. Thinking that I had just bought a broken iPod, I tried to play this music even through my car stereo receiver using the dock/usb connection and it worked perfectly. A little confused at this point, I took the thing out and inspected the cable jack and Ribbon of the helmet, the motherboard and audio chips. Everything went perfectly well, including headphones and cable, it was not folded connections inside and it was clean. I tried to press the chips on the motherboard, while playing music once more it is taken apart and it was not even a change of the static (when volume is 100%). I tried various headsets/headphones and with each of them, as you are connected to the socket you can hear precisely the left channel and then the right gets their power.

    I've read only a few cases of this particular issue happening and the response to each of them was to get a replacement headphone plug. I am skeptical to do what I can hear both channels is fed fine, there is no audio. I ask if someone who has some expertise on this motherboard (820-1975-A) knows where the problem lies (audio impeccable out Dock but headphone jack has absolutely nothing). I have the tools needed for soldering and re-flow if necessary.

    I tried the things:

    -Different headphones/earphones

    -Cleaning of the headphone jack/re-seating the ribbon cable

    -Tighten more integrated chips while music played

    -The 5 'R' apple suggests (including restoring w / mac & windows several times).

    -Different file formats (ALAC, MP3, WAV (16-bit, 44.1 kHz))

    -Hard reboots

    -Possibility of other things I don't forget

    Things I'm NOT willing to do:

    -Return to the craigslist seller

    -Apple call / go to an Apple store for a replacement

    -Buy a new logic board (I understand the one I may be impossible to fix)

  • Apple Dock of lightning - line level output?

    I have a question that maybe with that you audiophiles out there can help.  Descriptions and comments from the dock connector 30 pins for the pre at first touch screen iPod claimed (correctly I think) that the mini stereo 3.5 mm output port of these docks early provided output audio line level, offering the best quality audio when connecting to the RCA inputs of the channel to audio amplifiers domestic. I am trying to determine if the pier lightning currently available for iPods and iPhones to end model offers the same line-level output signal from its 3.5 mm plug.   I'm having a hard time getting a definitive answer.  My research here on the web and the responses from Apple store geniuses have contradictory opinions. Specifically, I want to be able to use the lightning dock to connect a 5th Gen iPod or iPhone 6 to my stereo.  Thank you

    Please read this message before doing anything.

    This procedure is a test, not a solution. Don't be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.

    Step 1

    The goal of this step is to determine if the problem is localized to your user account.

    Select the feedback connections* and log in as a guest. Do not use the Safari connection only 'user comments' created by 'find my Mac '.

    While signed in as a guest, you will have access to your documents or settings. Applications will behave as if you use them for the first time. Do not be alarmed by this behavior; It's normal. If you need any password or other personal information in order to complete the test, save, print, or write them before you start.

    Test while signed in as a guest. Same problem?

    After testing, log on to the guest account and in your own account, disable it if you wish. The files that you created in the guest account will be automatically deleted when you log out of it.

  • HP dv7t volume display

    I have a Hp Pavilion Entertainment PC (HP Pavilion dv7 Notebook PC), 64-bit, Windows 7 Service Pack 1.  The pc is integrated with HP xb4 Media Docking Station and a monitor flat screen HP 2509 m.  Unless I turned the volume off completely, I continually get a volume icon (showing the current volume control) displays intermittently in the center of the flat screen.  I can't move it to another location on the flat screen or to the pc monitor.  I'd appreciate any help I could get on how to get rid of the nuisance.  Irish646.

    Hello and thanks for the display on the HP support forums.  Have you tested this when you plug directly on the screen of the laptop.

    Connect the laptop directly to the screen if the problem is still there.  This means that you may have a compatibility issue with the output type.

    If the problem is longer there then replace the docking station.

    If you still experience the problem when it is connected directly between the laptop and the monitor with no connecting station made me know.

    Increase the volume

    While you are online, the volume with the volume buttons. Make sure that you see the on-screen volume indicator when you press the volume buttons.

    Check the connections

    If your iPhone is connected to a headset, you will not be able to hear through the receiver using speaker or the iPhone. Follow these steps, after each.

    1. Make sure you have nothing plugged into the headphone jack or the dock connector.
    2. Go to settings > Bluetooth and turn Bluetooth off.

    Turn off the receiver

    The receiver of the iPhone will not work properly if it is blocked or dirty. Follow these steps, after each:

    • Make sure that nothing is blocking the receiver, such as a case or a movie.
      If you have a new iPhone, remove the plastic on the front and the rear of the unit.
    • Check the receiver opening to see if it is blocked or dirty. If necessary, clean the receiver opening with a clean brush, dry, soft.
    • While you're online, turn on the speaker. If you still do not hear, then your network or the reception might be the issue. Try calling again later or somewhere else.

    Check the receiver

    Follow these steps to see if the problem is with your receiver or your network:

    1. Open the dictaphone application and record an audio clip.
    2. Type in the upper right corner of your screen to switch playback between the speaker and the receiver.
    3. Press on to play the voice memo by the receiver on your device.
    4. If you hear the voice memo and it seems normal (without distortion, crackling or static), there might be a problem with your network or carrier voicemail system. If you still hear no sound good or bad quality, contact The Apple support.

    Update and reboot

    1. Restart your iPhone and the test again.
    2. If there is still no good or bad sound quality, update to the latest version of iOS.

  • Changed my dock color. How can I change them back?

    Docking station went dark grey transparent semi and brightness and the volume of the GUI changed from white to gray as well. Cannot find anywhere to change their return.

    Did you try System Preferences > General > uncheck "use the menu bar black and docking station?

  • Impossible to remove dock items

    The application iBooks, maps and pictures can be removed is no longer dock.  Also true for the downloads folder.  I saw the old forums, as old as 2014, that has happened to a few people before.  It's always the same applications and files when it arrives. Unfortunately, what has worked for them has not worked for me.  Here is what I tried:

    (1) removed every element of the dock option when the application is open (it disappears after resigning, but reappears after the next log in)

    (2) removed every element of the docking station when the app is closed, either by dragging or 'options' (even once, reappears after the next login)

    (3) delete the plist of dock library.  After restart, got a default dock with the number of items.  Removed the above mentioned, but they reappear after the next login.

    (4) deleted the plist for each of the above applications.

    (5) has increased to El Capitan Yosemite (nothing has changed)

    Other notes:

    -open and read the plist for the dock and since it is written in the file to the apps and the file above in the dock.  Tried to edit this file directly, but they always come back.

    -have you checked the info on the plist for the dock and found that

    (1) I have read and write permissions

    (2) in section general, the LOCKED box is unchecked

    (3) the modified date is the last time I had logged in

    All of this started happening when I ran a series of updates to the system while staying in Yosemite.  One was a security update, I don't remember what the others were.

    This procedure is a diagnostic test. It is unlikely to solve your problem. Don't be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.

    The test is intended to determine if the problem is caused by a third-party software that loads automatically at startup or logon, by a device, by a police conflict or corruption of system files or some system caches.

    Disconnect all devices wired except those required to test and remove all the expansion cards from secondary market, as appropriate. Start in safe mode and log on to the account of the problem.

    Note: If FileVault is enabled in OS X 10.9 or an earlier version, or if a firmware password is defined, or if the boot volume is a software RAID, you can not do this. Ask for additional instructions.

    Safe mode is much slower to boot and run as normal, with limited graphics performance, and some things work at all, including an audio output and a Wi - Fi connection on some models. The next normal boot can also be a bit slow.

    The login screen is displayed even if you usually connect automatically. You need your password to log on. If you have forgotten the password, you will have to reset it before you begin.

    Test in safe mode. Same problem?

    After testing, restart as usual (not in safe mode) and make sure you always have the problem. View the results of the test.
