    Do, or you have installed Chrome? It appears that an update of Chrome, (mid April 2013), is responsible for the loss of the option new folder. Even if Chrome has not been installed, here are two patches.

    Recently, I decided to use icloud for storing my documents. I now discover is therefore more a folder for Documents on my Mac. The favorite of Documents is also missing from my Finder with no option to add back. The only option and something that I see in the Finder's Documents in iCloud. I want to stop using icloud for storing my documents. How to return all documents on my Mac? I tried to create a "Documents" folder under my user, but he comes back and says that it already exists.     Similar situation with my father.  He did not know that it turned on syncing iCloud and after disabled it, discovered that his office was empty (the Documents probably too, but it wasn't in the concerned e-mail message, I received this morning).

    This seems to be the opposite of what one should expect; When turning off this feature, you should be at least the option to restore your files in the desktop and Documents folders.

    I do "remote support" for an octogenarian who is not very comfortable to make changes to his computer.  If all goes well, there is a simple solution that I can talk to him through.

    I advise you to ensure that the printer software is up-to-date on your printer Brother DCP-7065DN. Please choose 'Available Software' brother printer and scanner software for macOS Sierra, El Capitan, Yosemite, and Mavericks

    If a software update is available, please install and then test and see if you get the same result.

    My understanding is that turning over the Documents and desktop option copy these files/folders to iCloud while keeping them also on my Mac. When I turned it on, they no longer seems on my Mac, only in iCloud. What I am doing wrong?

    Thank you for using communities Support from Apple! You do not have something wrong; the behavior you describe is correct and expected. When you disable the option of office and Documents, files are stored in iCloud drive. You can then move them to another location on your Mac if you want.     I hope that you have a Time Machine backup that you can use to revert to a previous version.  If it is then maybe you shared the document with someone else by e-mail and get get an old copy of your sent e-mail.

    It's a question of how the recipients e-mail programs deal with attachments. Many e-mail programs will open all the files they can handle, including files jpg and PDF, by default, and if the recipient has not changed that there is nothing you can do about it. The only solution is to the compress first, then it will be delivered as an attachment, allowing the recipient to decompress and open it.

    Did you delete the Documents folder that is normally found in your folder/Home /? The entrance to the docking station is simply a form of alias created by dragging the real Documents folder icon in the Dock. Is that what you did?     When you save Pages documents in iCloud drive, but not in the Pages folder, it will create an alias in the Pages folder pointing to the active page document that you saved in your folder of chemistry. These aliases will be a small vertical arrow under the icon, accompanied by text stating "in iCloud drive." You can right-click on the alias and choose the menu option Show Original.

    The cure is to make your records custom inside the respective iCloud drive: Pages, Numbers and Keynote primary records. These applications have an abbreviation save default Panel. On the right of the Save As the Committee Save: field, you will see a small box with an angle down in it. Click on this button, it will expand your panel Save/Save as and a button new folder will appear on the bottom.

    You select iCloud drive from the Favorites panel column Pages save and then browse the Pages main, numbers, and Keynote files. This is where you click on the button new folder, which will initially show no icons it contains until you save the document. No alias is generated. For existing records outside the above-mentioned applications, you could drag and drop the folder in the respective Pages, numbers and Keynote primary records, and then you can delete the (single) alias files.

    Now, you said something useful. Press the alt key to display the menu bar. This shortcut has been involved since the beginning from Windows. You can remember it.
    When the menu bar is displayed, select View-Toolbars and relight the toolbars.

    Hello people,

    right now I'm working on a very simple table in the Pages.

    I have reproduced a file already created by my colleague, because the page layout and all formulations must remain the same for the work that I do. The size of this document was large 1 GB (probably because there was a lot of images inside).

    But after you remove all of the content, the size is always that great! I don't have more than two empty tables with just a small amount of text inside! It's as if the media is not really gone! I also tried to reduce the size of my project with this feature, but all he said was: cannot reduce the size of the project, it is already optimal!

    So I tried to work around the problem and just copied and pasted my table to a new file. And then he gave me a 98 k file size!

    But I had to resize all my cells and everything, so this work around is not really effective and functional for me.

    I don't understand why the deletion of all media in my file doesn't effect size of my document. Am I missing something?

    I really need to create a large number of these documents and this is something that really bothers me.

    Can someone help me please. Is it possible to really get rid of multimedia content? as to delete the cache, or I don't know.

    The key to changes in dynamic document is AutoSave must be activated, which happens only if the document is opened, edited and saved at least once in iCloud drive, or your home account on the boot drive.

    If the above were true, then your removal of images would have a corresponding reduction in the size of the document, as seen by the intermediary to read the information. I tested here with my own images, and the gradual reduction of size of the document is measurable with each image removed by the intermediary to read the information.

    One of the table cells still have images in their midst? Was it originally a Word document with embedded in Excel table data?

    The 'volume' is a hard disk, a partition on a hard drive or a storage as a USB device.

    OS X automatically saves your document frequent while you work on it. If the volume of the device / it records on a summer formatted to allow 'versioning', you will be able to use Time Machine to open previous versions of your document. If it has not been formatted like that, you get the message see you, and only the current version of the document will be saved.
