RDP about sharing.

If I connect remotely on my server from my client PC. But they are desktop RDP to access data by using this Local Disk option connected. How can I predict this one.

  • Question about shared memory

    Hello!

I have a virtual machine that is configured with 1 GB of RAM and installed with Windows Server 2003. Shortly after starting the virtual machine, the info of the allocation of resources on the memory usage indicates the following:

While the Task Manager Windows VM shows the following:

While the use of the memory of the VM on the host is only 264 MB, why the use of the memory of comments displays 787 MB shared memory? The virtual machine is the only VM running on this host. If I understand correctly, "Shared memory" would theoretically show the amount of memory shared with other virtual machines on this host. For example, let's say I had two W2K3 VMs on that host with 1 GB of RAM each, the counter shared memory would report to the amount of memory that is the same for both these virtual machines and so physically shared. However, since there is no other virtual computer running on this host I don't really understand why he reports 787 MB!  It seems to me that the value of the shared memory is unused memory in fact (since the task inside the guest Manager reports only about 150 MB use and the virtual machine does not seem to consume the 264 MB mentioned on the host).

Any ideas what I'm missing? Thank you!

    As you say

    • The virtual computer is configured with 1024 MB of RAM

    • The private memory usage is 237 MB

    • Shared memory is 787 MB

All Windows VMs zero start pages is that they fill all memory with zeros. So VMKernel identifies all pages from scratch can be shared to one. In your scenario THAT VM wrote zeors 1024Mo and out of which 787 MB is shared and still 237 is used which further can be shared. 787 MB shared memory means that it the memory saved with page sharing and memory amount can be used by other processes.

    I hope this helps.

    Thank you.

  • About sharing

    Hello

just out of curiosity, when you share generators in FCP X writes the banner "sharing Untitled succeeded" or is it me only?

I share projects with names such as "Annotations" and I get the above message.

Why no title instead of the name of the project?

(* I'm worried because yesterday I download FxFactory and uninstall it manually (it gave me an error when I went to uninstall with the official way)). Then, I write if there is something with my copy of the Motion or it is the same everywhere.

    Thank you.

You say 'Sharing' - a generator would be you "Save"...

Don't you see the generator in FCP X with the right name, and it works correctly? Then I considered a harmless glitch and move.

  • Why Acrobat technical support seems to know anything about shared reviews?

Led evacuation, but also honestly ask why Adobe has to suck so badly in their support for Acrobat...

I was on the phone with technical support Acrobat today (outsourced team maybe?) to ask questions on another issue, I'll have with comments that disappears. I can't see the comments, but can another evaluator. I can see on the webDAV server comments are here, sitting in the XML file under the name of the reveiwer, but when I open the PDF file, it will not catch these observations.

Technology support not one, but TWO guys at Adobe seemed stunned by these XML files they think that I created. I had to explain that I have created nothing; That's what Acrobat when you create a shared review. It's an XML file for each reviewer and it sticks in a folder of your choice, which the URL name is cooked in the PDF. I had to walk each other through the process of creating a shared review, and they have both acted as if it was a mysterious process of weird that I'm jerryrigging.

They said it was 'unusual' I use a webDAV server, but I told them that webDAV is one of the three options provided by Assistant Adobe when you set up a shared review. (The other options are network and Sharepoint folder.) I told them that it is not unusual at all; in fact, I received all the instructions FROM ADOBE original installation.

They kept me waiting for three to five minutes to apparently try looking things up, or maybe just to avoid my growing anger.

I had another hunch that the problem might be that my synced folder may have to be emptied (obtained from this thread: http://forums.adobe.com/message/3596773) and asked them if they could tell me where to find the sync on Mac folder, because this thread refers only to Windows. He had no idea. I asked him that, probably, somewhere at Adobe, where he works, anyone knows where that is installed on the Mac.

He put me on hold for three to five minutes and he said he didn't know, but he's going to "degenerate" it and get back to me in 24 to 48 hours, which is the execution time-out faster, they can gather, apparently.

The only soultions I ever find my misfortunes of Acrobat are users desperate themselves. I suspect also that only users (not Adobe technical support, who do not seem to care what anyone) he will never even read.

On my system with Acrobat 9 Pro, they file Synchronizer user is under:

    / Users/georgejohnson/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Acrobat/9.0_x86/Synchronizer/resources

Could be a problem with the server for the user permissions?

  • Update of address of the card "shared Variable.

    Hello Experts!

I have a question about shared variables:

Now I create a variable Shared (81O_G01) in the library, and it is related to:

    My Computer\SVCREATION.lvlib\Modbus1\410611

Question is: How can I change this address SV (410611) when tha variable has already been opened?  is this possible?

    Thanks in advance!

    Anibal

    Hey Anibaldos,

Looks like you're trying basically change the binding of a /A1 to /A2 variables at run time. I think that there are a few options for this:

    (1) in LabVIEW DSC, you can access a hosted variable and change the link address by using a property node. If you run the server modbus on a windows machine, this is the best option. Otherwise, I'm guessing you don't have a DSC. If this is the case you can always edit links by editing the library manually, but it seems that this will not help you.

    (2) it may be possible to open a variable connection shared using pallets (Data Communication > shared Variable) to this specific address, to which cases you have no need to use the shared variable. You can simply open a connection to two addresses different modbus and read one or the other as needed.

    (3) if #2 does not work, then I think you can still use datasocket API to perform such an operation. There is a bit of research you need to do to use it (for example, URL editing and UI thread problems), but it does not work. In my opinion, this is the approach taken by this document: https://decibel.ni.com/content/docs/DOC-13508 (I know from experience, you have to dig a little to find the screw, but they are there).

    (4) you can use the Ni Labs library: http://ni.com/labs

  • Properties of shared variables

Hi all... I'm looking for a tutorial or article knowledge base explain the following:

Use: Labview 8.6 Professional RT, none module DSC (impossible to spend right now, no funds available)

System: PXI (called targets) communicate with various instruments and a PC (called host) by TCP/IP. operator enters variables of control through Labview program separate running on PC (XP).

Background: development of the Labview project from version 4.3, made only another project of RT PXI, who communicated with an HMI via Modbus.

Question about shared Variables: on my last project of RT, I had to 'read' all shared in the PXI program variables before you use them so that they would be 'available' to the HMI. I don't know that I'm creating variables properly now:

Set up the 'network Variables' on the PXI system with the following properties - Type: network has published, the network: use buffering, the number of elements: 1, RT FIFO: enabled, the number of items: 1, FIFO type: single element

Side host, I defined the same variables with the following properties: allow Aliasing and link to: URL of the PSP.

It seems that I have to set the same properties as the other variables: network: use buffering, the number of items: 1, etc.

What is the correct way to do this? I read a few posts on the problems of "deployment" variables, if the program PXI or the program host is and such. I saw one or two things 'flipped' passes, is not up to date variables. I just want if sure I do this correctly. PXI will always control if the host program does not work.

Thanks for any help and I will continue to look for more information. And, just to remember, there is NO money available to upgrade my software now.

  • File sharing problem

I have four computers in small office. Three see each other, the fourth XP invisable on a Windows network. They all have the same name of "workgroup". and file sharing enabled. I can ping other but cannot get windows network to see?   Number four computer is configured to share files, I ran the wizard several times to double check that the names are the same.  Any suggestion would be appreciated.  James

You left out the part where you tell us what version of Windows is located on each computer. This is important.

What follows is quite old, but still excellent, former MS MVP Malke boards:

Here are the steps of general network troubleshooting. Just cannot apply to your situation, so just take the bits that are. It may seem daunting, but if you follow the steps in the links and suggestions below calmly and consistently, you will have no difficulty to implement your sharing.

Excellent, comprehensive, but easy to understand article on sharing files/printer under Vista. Contains information about sharing printers and files, and the folders: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb727037.aspx

For XP, start by running the Network Setup Wizard the on all machines (see warning in section A below).

Problems sharing files between computers on a network are usually caused by 1) a misconfigured firewall or a firewall neglected (including a dynamic firewall in a virtual private network); or (2) inadvertently run two firewalls such as the firewall of Windows and a third-party firewall. and/or (3) do not have accounts to the same users and passwords on all computers in the workgroup. (4) tries to create actions where the operating system does not.

    A. configure the firewall on all machines to allow traffic to local area network (LAN) as being approved. With the Windows Firewall, it means which allows file sharing / print on the Exceptions tab normally run the XP Network Setup Wizard will take care of this for these machines. The only "witch hunt", it will turn on the XPSP2 Windows Firewall. If you are not running a third-party firewall or you have an antivirus with "Internet Worm Protection" (like Norton 2006/07) which acts as a firewall, you're fine.  With a third-party firewall, I usually set up the allocation of LAN with an IP address range. E.g. would be 192.168.1.0 - 192.168.1.254. Obviously you would substitute your correct subnet. Do not run more than one firewall. DON'T STOP FIREWALLS; CONFIGURE THEM CORRECTLY.

    (B) to facilitate the Organization, put all computers in the same workgroup. This is done from the System applet in Control Panel, the computer name tab.

    C. create the counterpart of the user accounts and passwords on all machines. You do not need to be logged into the same account on all machines and assigned to each user account passwords can be different; accounts/passwords just need to exist and to match on all machines. DO NOT NEGLECT TO CREATE PASSWORDS, EVEN IF ONLY OF SIMPLE. If you want a machine to boot directly to the desktop (a particular user account) for convenience, you can do this. The instructions on this link work for XP and Vista: set up Windows for the connection automatically (MVP Ramesh) - http://windowsxp.mvps.org/Autologon.htm

    D. Si one or more of the computers is XP Pro or Media Center, turn off Simple file sharing (Folder Options > view tab).

    E. create share as you wish. XP Home does not share the users directory or the Program Files, but you can share folders inside those directories. A better choice is to simply use the Shared Documents folder. See the first link above for more information on Vista sharing.

    F. you have the job of file sharing (and tested by exchanging a file between machines), if you want to share a printer connected locally to one of your computers, share of this machine. Then go to the printer mftr Web site. and download the latest drivers for the correct system. Install them on the target machines. The printer must be collected during the installation procedure. If this isn't the case, install the drivers and then use the Add Printer Wizard. In some cases, printers must be installed as local printers, but it is outside this response.

  • Printer sharing requires a password

My printer is connected to my laptop that is running Windows Vista. I have a second laptop running Windows XP, to share the printer. I had to reinstall everything on the Vista machine and now trying to get work on the XP machine the printer share.

I put the private network and turned on in the center of network & sharing the printer share on the Vista machine. However, the option of sharing the printer says "we (password required). I didn't put a password, I know where to do (or I want to do).

In the add printer on the XP machine Wizard, when I type in \\Laptopname\printername it invites me for a user name and password, neither of which I have.

How can I remove the need for a password, or what should I do?

I am also running McAfee Internet Security - I should do there instead/as well?

    Thanks - in desperation.

  • How to load the shared entities

Hello guys! I did experiments with Chargeback manager for awhile, but I have a question. So far, I have seen that with Chargeback manager, it is very easy to calculate the cost of features in a virtual infrastructure (for example, ESXi, VM etc) based on several cost models.
But what happens when we talk about shared resources? For example if a (BU) Business Unit uses an ESXi server, it is very easy to load than BU. You have created a cost report that ESXi and you present to the BU.

But when, on the other hand, you have DRANK using the same things that ESXi (for example a mail server) can become more complicated. You can still find the cost of this ESXI, but how will you allocate this cost on the BU who use this server? For example, divide the cost by the number of BU? Or divide the cost by the number of BU take the consideration of the number of users in each BU... etc...

So the question is, if Chargeback Manager has additional features that could help this process...

    Bravo!

    Hello

Yes, but the function is only limited to virtual machines directly added to a folder of chargeback hierarchy. Chargeback has an option to share a VM on records (i.e. from Business units). Please refer to the user guide for "sharing cost of Virtual Machine.

For now, you need to calculate the percentage of shares according to the criteria (number of email users) for a virtual computer and use this Chargeback percentage manually.

    Kind regards

  • Regarding shared Services

    Hi friends,

Here is a general question about shared services. I outsourced an essbase server. I created a user of shared services, and when I created a user iam looking for option where the user can change the password for their first login. IAM unable to find this option in shared services. Please let me know if you have an idea.

    Thank you
    RAM.

    Hello

If you want to return to native mode essbase can later convert mode shared services?
Not something I would recommend to do, but maybe possible, you will need to remove the essbase Shared services project, stop essbase, rename or delete essbase.sec and rename ESSBASE. BAK_preUPM to essbase.sec, startup essbase.

    See you soon

Pulling content out of the iPhone may be difficult if the course through third-party program. Pulling content that is simply there as a reference to an Exchange Server account is still more difficult, especially when you actually do have permissions of table of contents more.

There are many media extractors out there in the desert. No which one I met that go up to extract emails from an iPhone. Accounts Exchange wear protections than other accounts because they are intended for the use of the company, so extract the content out of one through your iPhone while the service is not truly connected will be a little difficult. You may well be able to transmit emails individually by changing the 'From' address to another email that you currently have on your iPhone. He cannot transfer your Exchange e-mail as it is right now, because you don't really have access to send anything from him.

If you are looking for an easier way, perhaps join your old company and ask if their IT Admin or the person they have to manage the messaging service to create an archive for you and who to send your way. Companies can be a bit skittish about sharing this content with employees passed, but it is worth it.

  • How to download video from my camera

I have a HP Pavilion dv7 laptop, os of mozilla, I want to import pix and the film in my camera. Pix import ok but the video shows only a blue line, no pic. When I try to Realtek (real-time, or something like that) he lets know me that I need Quicktime. QuickTime will not download on my computer.
I put my choice Windows or any other choice but in real-time and try to import the video, it goes right to choice in real time again.
    Help!

I would first try if you can read the files successfully with the vlc player and in the case that works to get rid of real player, quicktime, and other redundant software.

What about sharing your videos by email, there might be 2 different numbers: it depends how big are the video files, but many e-mail providers have file size limits that prevent you to send large files or contacts of reception of all the files that exceed a certain limit (different for each mail service). to work around the problem, you could use a locker folder like dropbox, skydrive of microsoft or google drive to download the video and just share the link to the file by email.
the second question could be the type of video file - your contacts may need to download also vlc player to play videos. what you might try, must first convert the files by a program like miro converter in a video file format that is more commonly recognized & playable as video mp4, before sharing the content...
