  Please repost your question to the Discussion Windows Server group to: http://www.microsoft.com/communities/newsgroups/en-us/default.aspx?dg=microsoft.public.windows.server.general&cat=en_US_9741c575-ec92-42f8-85ba-00dfe1483cf5&lang=en&cr=US where the issues of server specialists will be more than happy to help you.  I don't know why this has happened because of the move to Vista (even if Vista security is quite different from XP and could very well be the cause of the problem, but I suspect that maybe this isn't the best solution), but the problem is a server problem (although I admit that Vista might be involved in the cause) - but I think that the solution as most of the solutions involving servers is a global change on the server that will solve the problems with individual computers).  We have similar problems, along with the implementation of ad - hoc and networks home - particularly between different operating systems and it turns almost always be a permissions with Vista problem (which you should be fortunate enough to solve globally using Group Policy and Active Directory - but even if I'm certified, I am especially paper-trained and are not have a lot of experience working with servers in a consistent manner or) frequent (but the people I spoke to you they have this expertise and I "m certain someone will be able to solve this problem - it seems that one who would have developed several times before - if, after confirming the question I would like to spend some time looking at the similar topics discussion group and you should be able to find the solution on your own).  A suggsstion - if you get the error messages that I would include the in the post EXACTLY Word for word - they can help pinpoint the problem.

  Yes, I know, I'm a little late.  Vista works fine on my PC and now some third-party vendors are abandoning support of this platform, so I'll try to upgrade to Windows 7 to get a mileage more than my PC until I have to replace it.  I ran the Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor and he said I could upgrade to Windows 7 Home Premium.  It works fine for a few hours, then stops in a few words about the 75% mark in the part "Transfer files, settings and programs" of the upgrade and I get the message - "the installation cannot continue.  "Your computer will now reboot and that your previous version of Windows will be restored.  The good news is that the restoration has worked flawlessly.

  I maintain a web application that contains hundreds of PDF files that contain relative links, among other documents.  The application relies on getting the Base URL of the Adobe Acrobat web plug-in to navigate between different PDF documents while viewing in the browser (the links do not work in a standalone Acrobat window).  Since the upgrade to Adobe Acrobat Reader 11.0.11 last week, these links no longer function (I checked they still work in 11.0.10).  I also have the same problem in Acrobat 10.1.14 (worked in 10.1.13).  I have tried all the other versions.  It seems that updates broke the functionality of our application invoked for the past ten years.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

• Tecra M7 DVD: CD/DVD RAM drive does not work since the installation of Vista

  I did a clean install on my new Vista Ready M7. He had XP tablet in a first time, and the DVD player worked fine. In fact I used to install Vista (Home Premium).

  Now it doesn't work at all. It runs but does not read. Device Manager tells me impossible to start the device. Tried to update driver and he told me that he has the most uptodate pilot.

  On the Toshiba driver page, you can find the DLA for Tecra m7.
  Have you tried to install the XP driver DVD-RAM since the Toshiba page on the Vista operating system?

  But listening the CD/DVD drive uses the current Microsoft drivers that are included in Vista or XP.
  This is why an additional driver should not be necessary!

  An additional proposal;
  Remove the drive from the Device Manager CD/DVD and restart the laptop.
  After restarting again the OS should reinstall the drive and renew the software.

  Another tip:
  -Launch the registry
  -Choose the registry key;

  Please ensure that your Pen drivers are up-to-date. (check the manufacturer's Web site)

  Also, what exact version of Photoshop and Lightroom are you using?

  Search for graphics card drivers update as well.

  I can't download Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor. Everytime I try it says "Connection interrupted", but there is nothing wrong with my connection. I had the same problem when I bought a Zune and tried to download the software necessary to run it (I had to go back because I never solved the problem) now I think, I never seem to be able to download anything from Microsoft, but I don't have an active version of Windows Vista with the valid product key.

  Did you actually download the Windows 10. ISO file and made a bootable copy using the tool of media and the attempt to upgrade or have you used the wizard of the media creation tool to perform the upgrade?

  Could you provide your specifications and the brand/model?

  • Turn off (preferably uninstall) your Antivirus utility before you perform the upgrade.
  • Reboot several times and try again.
  • Disable the general USB peripherals (for example - smart card reader).
  • If you are using a SCSI drive, make sure you have the drivers available for your storage on a thumdrive device and it is connected. During the installation of Windows 10, click on the advanced custom Option and use the command load driver to load the driver for the SCSI drive. If this does not work and the installer still fails, consider switching to an IDE based hard drive.
  • Do a clean boot, and then try again.
  • If you upgrade to the. ISO file, disconnect from the Internet during the installation, if you are connected in LAN (Ethernet) or wireless, disable both and try the installation again.
  • If you update via Windows Update, when download reaches 100%, disconnect the Internet LAN (Ethernet) or wireless, and proceed with the installation.
  • If this does not work, try using the. ISO file to upgrade if possible.
  • If you are connected to a domain, go to a local account
  • If you have an external equipment, attached to the machine, unplug them (example, game controllers, USB sticks, external hard drive, printers, peripherals not essential).
