Re-formatting Windows Vista

I have a question about the re-formatting. I have the 546 Inspiron with Windows Vista that I bought in 2009, still works fine. If I need to reformat my computer to the factory State, do I also need to install the CD Drivers and Utilities also? In the past I had to do a reformat on it and do not use the drivers and Utilities CD and it appeared everything worked very well.

Thank you and have a wonderful evening.

Hi Sassyred,

There are two ways to reinstall Vista. First of all, you can use the Dell factory restore, which restores the hard drive to its original image, including all the drivers and applications. For this method, it is not necessary to run the drivers and Utilities disc. Second, you can perform a clean install of Vista from disk to reinstall the operating system. For this method, you will need to install the drivers either from disk or downloaded from the support site.

Whatever it is, there will be a lot of updates to Windows Vista.
