  You must include the Intel matrix Storage Manager in the XP installation.
  Without the iMSM OS XP can't find HARD drive!

  The iMSM can be installed by using the USB FDD drive or you can create a new XP CD using the freeware tool called nLite.

  After the installation of the OS, you must download and install the drivers of Toshiba of the European driver Tosh page.

  PS: should check the driver installation instructions txt file before you start to install the Toshiba XP drivers

  If you want to replace Vista with your Windows XP operating system then just boot from the Windows XP CD and follow the on-screen installation instructions.

  After installation of XP operating system, you will have to visit the page of the European driver Toshiba and will need to download the XP compatible drivers!
  (maybe you could do that before formatting the disk HARD and Vista)

  Your laptop seems to belong to the * PSAJ4E * series.
  Please choose this number before you begin to download the driver.

  By the way; Support for laptop SATA controller so you will need to include the driver SATA during the XP installation process.
  The Storage Manager available on the Toshiba driver page contains such SATA driver.

  If you n t know how to include such SATA driver, please use the search option of the forum for research.

  The application that you are installing will sort it out for you. Unless the software is told explicitly 64-bit in the box, you can be assured that the software will be 32-bit.

  If you are running a copy of Windows Vista (or 7) 64-bit operating system will install the software in the right folder so I don't worry about this.
