This only bug fixes Update corrections occurred after effects CC 2015 (13.7.1) on Mac OS x files: RED (.r3d) can still be imported and are not reported as missing in existing projects.

This update is only for Mac OS X and is not available for Windows, because the bug with the RED files does not occur under Windows. The most recent update for After Effects on Windows is after effects CC 2015 (13.7.1).

  • Downhill from the Red epic

Downhill from the full kit Red Epic (65K) to Scarlet (for Panasonic?) on the down to the range of $4500, what are the best camcorders available in a progressive to the low price range.  Four or five models that you think are great value.

Personally, I like the old Panasonic cameras except for the crazy format and resolution of some models the false 1920 x 1080.  Suggestions welcome for other brands.

    Thank you

I do not know "Camcorder", but here are two capable cameras that I consider 'production cameras' and argueably... .not particularly suited to work event or run and gun.

Both should be on the list of five anly.

Panasonic AF100... .a camera production budget very competent and reliable.

    and...

Sony NEX FS700... probably camera of the moment highly featured and future sound proof for some tasks: IMHO

Note: The two are body only who removes them from the category... but even as red, camcorder epics, Alexas, BM Cinecamera etc...

As always... It is... a camera for what puprose?

    Hi lxjordanxl,

This plug-in is for Premiere Pro CS6.

First Pro CC 5K supports natively, you do not need to install this plug-in. remove or reinstall Premiere Pro and you should be good to go.

    Thank you

  • Can't import r3d with media browser

    Hello

I updated my system for Mac El Capitan 10.11.4 and first to 9.2.0 (41) Build.

I had a project that I did before the update. I saved a new course prproj file. But I can´t import new files with the media browser r3d. If I go in the folder, even the Red folders are not available and the files are not displayed. Except for one. Here are the Red Dragon 6 k files. Never had this before. If I drag and drop them, it works. But this isn't the way I want to import.

UPDATE: this i only in a single folder. I can see all the other files from other projects and all of the r3d files. Very strange.

Actually, I figured out that particular app called "Compare files" do not have access to any folder on mac. But I can't find how to give permissions to application to work on this problem.

    Does anyone have a solution?

  • Images imported into my Stadium go up as white and make each image before the image of thugs imported as red squares that fill the perimeters of the image which then renders the publication and test scene has useless Flash, what can I do

I worked on the animation of a scene in flash for a few weeks and recently I met a problem with the import of my images to the stage where images I have import increase, however, the keyframe I tried to import the image to watch that it is occupied by an image and each image before the image key that just imported a picture that doesn't show shows up as a red square that fills the perimeters original of the image , there is no solution to this problem all where on the forum and the personal adobe technical support does not help me find a solution to this problem, what can I do to get Flash working normally again and fix this?

After the first time that I publish a preview after I start using the flash, flash makes the publication and the test scene features as useless and claims he has not found an HTML template, or if the images if I import all the images on the stage who empties and display each image before the image as a red square and then try to publish a flash preview renders also the publication and the scene features test as useless and claims he has found none of HTML template. What can I do to fix this? There is no solution on the web anywhere to this problem either.

I discovered the problem, I just need to get a Z820 with a Nvidia Quadro K6000 graphics card and a new Flash Professional subscription, I'm lucky, I did what I did. Thank you!

  • URGENT: .r3d (RED) files blocked by Windows. No video output in first.

I have a project to create based .r3d that was running smoothly until I got a Windows error: "Adobe Premiere blocked access to graphic material." After this error, my source and program monitors became black.

I tried to restart, update Windows and drivers and running in safe mode does not.

The only thing that worked is transition to the software only for rendering, then exit returns. But these are files RAW 6 K and software rendering cannot even begin to manipulate. Even more strange, that only the .r3d files are affected. The project with other types of sequences files open and play very well with GPU acceleration.

It's also pretty urgent since I August 3 deadline.

    My specs:

    Windows 10 company

Intel Xeon with 32 logical cores

    NVIDIA GTX 980

    64 GB OF DDR3 MEMORY

Any help is appreciated. Thank you!

I returned my drivers Nvidia 365.19 and that solved the problem.

  • Red Dragon first CS6 (cannot import... gulp!)

    Hello

When you try to import images of Red Dragon in Premiere Pro CS6 I get the following message: "Unsupported format or corrupted file.»

    The sequence is:

    Type: REDcode 7:1

    Resolution: 3840 x 2160

I tried old images of Red Epic importer and it works perfectly.  Images of Red Dragon works perfectly in Red movie - X Pro also so I know it's a question of creation.

From what I've read there is no support for images of Dragon in CS6, but I hope it's not true and that there is an update I can install or a viable solution.

I really hope someone can help with this question, I would be eternally grateful for a solution.

    Please let me know.

    Thank you.

I know that Dragon RED 6 K requires demosaicing accelerated added to Premiere Pro 2014 release CC and I conducted tests successful the .r3d, and not only do they import no problem, they read in near real time, even on an old slow machine and via the settings option from the Source, you have access to demosaicing and color space settings similar to those of RedCine.  As for import for CS6 support, I don't think that any official support exists, however, as you say r3d older epic, you have found to work and files of Dragon are also the r3d format, just bigger and with more than metadata.  However, mounting type of camera being the key metadata to define the good demosaicing and color space, it is very unlikely that CS6 does not recognize the header data and therefore opens the error that he doesn't know how to handle and therefore as not supported.  My recommendation would be to download the free trial version of first Pro CC2014 and chances are it is important no problem confirming that it is indeed incompatible with CS6.  Also in this way, you will gain a lot of performance improvements and other features to support working with Ultra high resolution + media prelude, first, after FX, SpeedGrade & Media Encoder.  For what is a workaround to use images of Dragon in CS6, you can still use RedCine to transcode the media out in a different format supported natively by CS6.

  • AE 2014CC RED R3D files support broken - footages looks bad, slow everything down.

Just got an update, first is great, but AE is dead. Cannot yet open files RED-incredibly slow. 100 times slower than the old version. Must be a bug. I have TITAN GPU on classic MAC PRO Tower. AE2013 works very well - what's wrong with the news? And it actually looks like the format supported completely broken RED cause when I go to 100% images looks like 1/8 high-end resolution.

Performance issues and the low resolution of the RED (.r3d) files are set in the After Effects 2014.1.1 (13.1.1) implemented to date. Please install it to solve these problems.

    Details on the update: http://bit.ly/AE_1311_details

Under the hood, here's what happened:

Late in development after effects CC 2014 (13.0), a change was introduced to how After Effects and Premiere Pro to cache data frame when the decoding of .r3d files. This change caused bugs in After Effects only, because of the requests of the frame in a slightly different way than Premiere Pro.

The fault was not apparent when we inspected the code, and he made several unexpected failures.

The first problem, .r3d files had low resolution, caused when After Effects generated a thumbnail of the file to the project Panel. The miniature request is for a very small image, about 320 x 180 pixels, and the small image dimensions have been incorrectly be reused when After Effects requested the full large images for composition. (Workarounds I had suggested earlier, to open the dialog box settings of RED or purge the cache, worked because they cause frame requests be reset).

This bug has been fixed in after effects CC 20141 (13.1). After Effects now correctly Initializes the dimensions in the frame cache requests.

The second problem was that for some but not all .r3d files, any request for less than 1/8 resolution frame would result in After Effects to stall (beach ball) for 15 seconds. This included when the file is imported and the thumbnail has been generated, or if the resolution composition control was set at less than 1/8, or, if the Adaptive resolution has been activated and allowed to table the resolution less than 1/8.

Not all .r3d files encountered this problem. The affected files have been of the newest cameras and sensors, including the RED Epic camera and the detector of Dragon. Files of the older cameras like the RED One, did not have this problem.

This problem was caused by an incompatibility of the proportions of the framework cache when requests for image low resolution. During the generation of the frame cache, the proportions of the image is calculated, but the proportions of the image low resolution that result may not match the aspect ratio of the original frame. This calculation is indeed correct; bypassing the new dimensions of the whole pixels, the proportions frame moves less than 1%. In problematic cases, this caused lag After Effects to assume that cache framework did not provide the backstory, and he could wait 15 seconds (a preset timeout clock) for a better match, what has not happened, and then it should be the frame anyway.

This bug has been fixed in After Effects CC 2014.1.1 (13.1.1). Now, After Effects ignores the small variances expected in the proportions between the original frame and the image cache low resolution.

These two fixes solve known issues with .r3d file decoding after effects CC 2014. We apologize once again, that have occurred these bugs, and personally, I apologize for being silent on this thread for so long; We were busy investigating and fixing these and other bugs.

  • "Not supported" RED R3D files after project save

All of a sudden yesterday my our cam RED R3D files are unusable / not supported after the project folder except. Opening and existing project and before you save the RED files work fine. Importation of RED is also "not supported" after you save the file updated the project. Closed the project to test the import in an empty project, still no dice. Restarted AE and still impossible to import. The only thing I have not yet tried restart and import into an empty project.

The only way I could work with my pictures RED so is to open the project file that haven't had them imported before this problem and do not save. Once I have save unhandled errors appear. None of the RED image is corrupt.

I am currently one of the clips to a direct connected drive away our SIN. I'll update soon.

  • Will not import Red files in CS5

    Hi all

Yesterday, I shot some footage on a Red Epic. The files are .rd3. First Pro CS5 is supposed to have native support for Red files, but they import-I get a message "file import failure. The error indicates "format unsupported or damaged the file.

    The files are not damaged.

    Any suggestions? Thank you.

First Pro CS5 can import epic files. Not even with the importer Labs. It's just for CS5.5.

  • CS6 R3D - taken no supported Format or damaged

    Hello

Importing R3D files has been working wonder up to our days, when all of a sudden, I get the format not supported or damaged error. It's EPIC and a movie, not of Dragon and they therefore have to import easily into CS6 with the latest updates and have in the past.

I'm not interested by CC, for the moment I want to stay with CS6.

I tried r3d of different projects and record all results in the same error files. I tried to uninstall and reinstall the drivers on RED, Red movie X, CS6, CUda readers and tried the reset of Fallen Empire MDM, nothing seems to work.

Projects with the RED files already in them, will display the file temporarily, then go to "Media waiting.

In the media browser, it will not display the photos for R3d files.

    Red file.png

I had a similar problem on the 368 driver. XX and the install the 365.19 driver version to restore the R3D CUDA acceleration.

NVIDIA Driver Downloads - advanced search

On the last driver would work only open CL and software, and performance was poor.

  • RED - Red Rocket and first Pro CS5.5

First post here and happy to be on PP. I am a ship of FCP...

I'm a RED avid shooter... mostly underwater since 2007 and have been appointed first RED cameras. I understand and know well the RED workflow...

    September 24, 2011

    Ok

using Premier Pro on my desktop and love it. However, it is not using my rocket card.

That's what I've done so far for downloads:

    1. download CS5.5

    2. download the latest updates for CS5.5 of any of the programs by going to help, updates

    3. Download last (9/12 update for PP) for the first Pro 5.5.1 to: http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/product.jsp?product=98 & platform = Macintosh

    4. download RED EPIC importer to: http://labs.adobe.com/technologies/redepic_importer/

5 downloaded the LATEST DRIVER of the ROCKET: 1.4.16

EPIC footage plays very well with images R1 in PP as well as Recommissioning Pro beta 3... EVERYTHING works fine... With the EXCEPTION I can't get any acceleration of rocket in the FIRST...

Questions or places Posible that I screwed up:

    1. should I also download RED ADOBE CS4 Installer page Support RED?

    2. is the LAST ROCKET actually taken 1.4.16 firmware supported - on most threads, I hear people talking about firmware Rocket 1.4.7

FINALLY: perhaps I need to activate the card of the rocket? I went on settings of the project; and other places to see if there is a menu drop down to activate the map of the rocket, but I can't find anything... I know I have to be in the project under general settings, and then under video rendering and playback... but this box is greyed out and won't let me NOT change... it is the default software of Mercury playback engine...

    Thanks for your comments

ANSWER: thanks to David McGavran and Steve Sherrick Forum Reduser for the ANSWER...

SIMPLE: go into your project window: top left area... then right click ANY R3d file... and select parameters Source... go to the bottom of the new window and choose Activate Rocket... the rocket card is then activated for all clips and chronology...
