Re: Need help to recover my Satellite L

My laptop has been bad for a while, at first he kept coming with a runtime error on the screen 'Please wait' just before the charge of the login page. That I could never figure out how to fix it.

Then he begins to take 10-30 minutes to start, it kept freezing at some point of the turn in until the screen "Please wait", so I would force closed and continue round in circles until he went to open a session and I was able to continue as usual.
He then began to shut down while I was working, so as it was close to Christmas and no time, I put it there.

I am also now get the screens blue, green, grey, blue teal to death several times.
I had been told by someone to do a complete factory reset, so I just downloaded the recovery disk of the laptop toshiba, did the reset and now he comes back with press ctrl-alt-del,
I insert disc 2 and nothing happens, so I re - insert the first disc and reset from happening again, and I'll through in circles, as I also doubt very much I have discs may have provided with the laptop.

Please can someone help as I like my laptop and he want to come back.

Thanks in advance

> so I just downloaded the recovery disk of the laptop toshiba, did the reset and now he comes back with press ctrl-alt-delete,.

I m wondering about this message? How and where did you download the recovery image?
All I know is not possible to download the Toshiba recovery disc image

What model of laptop do you have exactly?
If you have a European model for Toshiba laptop, then the recovery discs can be ordered on this page:
http://backupmedia.Toshiba.EU/landing.aspx

Then you could start Notepad using these disks to recover the device

    Dear all

I have a laptop and when I turn on found operation system error apears.

I tried Recovery, but when I want to preaze in the first stage.

Also I wanted to do with new XP installation but I can't delete the C drive and install new windows.

I was wondering if you help me

    Hello

If you want to retrieve the laptop using the Toshiba recovery disc then it must put the disc into the CD/DVD player and have to boot from that disk.

You can press the F12 key while turning the power on and the start menu will appear.
Then, choose the ODD (CD/DVD drive) as a source of start-up and installation should begin.
Then follow the instructions on the screen.

You can also use the original Windows CD for installing the OS.
You should boot from the XP CD, and you will see that the installation program will start.

But buddy note; If you will not be able to start the installation, a HARD disk failure is possible. I received a message that the operating system is not found on the HARD drive and this problem has been linked to the failure of HARD drive.

In this case the drive HARD shoul be replaced

  • Need help to recover after reformatting? Compaq Presario CQ56-109WM Notebook PC with Windows 7...

Recently, my laptop crashed and would ONLY start for "Recovery Manager" with 3 options for "need help immediately!": 1 the Microsoft System Restore (which did NOT work for ANY of the listed restore points), 2. System recovery (or something to that effect, basically to restore it to the State "out-of-box" is the description says) and 3. Reduced Image Recovery (this is the one I used). Before that, I was getting the "Blue Screen of Death quite often, but always maintained with my updates etc and really use that thing especially for social networking sites, search web and music/games.» Also before I used minimized Image Recovery, I backed up my personal files to DVD - R using the index option all the way to the right of the screen in this same recovery manager. I have earlier obtained it can begin to go back to Windows, but most of all wiped... HOWEVER, I noticed that my 'D: Recovery Drive' always has a little more than 2 GB free on a little more than 16. I wonder if I can use this to restore everything I had before as I have "reformatting?" it, or if not, then how do I now do that using these DVD I burned? I'm not completely computer illiterate, but also not a rocket scientist lol and seems to understand top of my head this time... Any help would be GREATLY appreciated I am very nervous now that I've lost EVERYTHING!   ... SOMEBODY PLEASE PLEASE HELP!

Reduced Image Recovery reinstalls Windows and the drivers/software essential, leaving off a large part of the trial version pre-installed from the factory. System recovery reinstalls Windows and all software that came from the factory. If all software is what you are looking for, start to type the F11 key after turning on the laptop and run the system recovery.

If you are looking for your personal files, they should be on the backup dvd. There will be a. EXE file on one of the DVDs, last one I think. Click to start that and it will extract the files to a folder on the laptop.

Minimized, or recovery system formats the partition_that D is where the resident files reinstall them & run from. It remains the same after healing.

  • Need help to recover a bad BIOS flash on Satellite L300D-01

I need your help to fix my laptop because the BIOS is not included in the guarantee.

    What happened:

I was downloading all the drivers from the site Web of Toshiba to make a CD-ROM of drivers, in case I need it.
I clicked the update of the BIOS when I drag and drop into a new folder and the BIOS start without asking and freezz about 50% I wait 30 min because I know THAT BIOS is critical, but after all this time I have no choice then to power off the computer.

Now when I turn on the computer, I have no disk image trying to read and she.

Now what I want to do is a CRISIS of recovery since this is the only option I have for now.

What I need, is that the BIOS file not the stupid .exe, but a ROM or .bin I think and instruction to do on this particular model.

Thanks for looking for my post and I hope that someone can help me here because repair $80 for a budget laptop is great.

I doubt that you might be able to repair this laptop for yourself.
The fact is that the ROM module has been flashed properly and I guess it must be flashed again using a traditional BIOS version.
This version of BIOS is NOT available on the Toshiba page. Only a victory according to BIOS version.

Therefore, you will need to contact the ASP in your country for a BIOS flashing module.

Mate sorry but I don't see another solution to the problem you.

    Welcome them

  • Need help with energy saving (Satellite M40x) utility

    Hi all

I'm new to this forum, I need a help, as if never I am pressing the energy savings of Toshiba it tell me I have to open windows power options and use the Toshiba power saver, but I find there in the patterns I think I deleted by mistake of scrolling of plans... So, how can I restore it so I can use Toshiba power saver?
My laptop is Toshiba Satellite M40x
Please answer soon as you can add me to your msn messenger: my id is:

    THX in advance

    Adham

When you press the button, toshiba power setting should appear without any messages. I put the settings directly from the Toshiba utility so the message you get to open the windows power management reveals that there is a problem.

Try to reinstall toshiba power saver utility from recovery cd or you can download it from download drivers on the official website.

    Hello

This is all a bit confusing to me. If you have created a recovery media in the past, you should be able to reinstall the recovery image using this media.
To be honest I don't understand exactly what is happening and what message is displayed on the screen.
Can you please write what you can see on the screen? Message description full please.

Start your laptop and enter the BIOS. By default the BIOS settings and restart your machine. Press F12 at first upward and choose the boot for your recovery media device and start the installation with ENTER.

Please describe exactly what happens when you do this.

  • BlackBerry software I need help to recover after link uninstalled during the attempt to download the updated drivers

I bought a new unlocked classic.  I planned to spend my Q10 classic using the option of switch device in link.  I think I got the link c. 1.2.3.56 (or perhaps 58?) installed on my PC Pro Windows 8.1.

Using the link I saved my Q10 and then connected the classic with the USB cable.  The classic said she needed new drivers.  Soon, I had the opportunity to download BB Blend, link, and drivers.  I chose the option install the mixture and update link and drivers.  Installation/update failed.  I remember exactly the message error, but according to me, says he will have to try again.

I was stunned to see that the shortcut on the liaison office had disappeared!  The list of programs in the control panel Windows only shows BlackBerry Device Software updater installed.  Only \BlackBerry Link\en\help_files in the folder of the RIM on the hard drive.  I can't find an executable anywhere.

I downloaded the link and tried to install it, but after that I got the message that a newer version is already installed on my PC, I cancelled it.

How can I recover?  I would get the back link, the new software of mix and current Windows drivers required for the classic.  Fortunately, my last backup of the Q10 is there in the \users\username\documents\BlackBerry\backup folder.

Finally, I considered using the app of the switch of the device on both devices, but I could not download it.  On both devices, I got the error message: "year error has occurred and BlackBerry World will be closed."  Try to wait a few minutes and reopening BlackBerry World. "That was hours ago.  I'll search the forum hardware for more information about BB world.

Thanks in advance for your help.

  • Need help to recover data from registry to update to Windows 8.1

So I'm quite a pickle here. I need to update my computer Windows 8.1 but the installer of Windows 8.1 (app) do not like it when you have made changes to the registry.

I'm running an SSD 128 GB as my main boot (c :)) drive
Along with that I am running a 2 TB HDD as my main storage to store any (e)
To make this work I had to change the locations of the registry for Program Files and Program FIles (x 86) file, so that my SSD would not fill.
But while doing this, I've never done a backup of the original registry to restore to the.
I really need 8.1 Windows for Visual Studio.
Sidenote. I built this PC by myself
    Data sheet:
    Core i7 3870
    ASUS P9X79 motherboard
    EVGA GeForce GTX 670
Boot drive for the SSD 128 GB
    Storage of 2 TB drive
    Windows 8

    (You can help hope)

    Hello

Microsoft does not recommend changing the registry entries of Program files and the data folder drive C: as it has very high chances of failure. This is why it is not recommended to take this path, unless the changes are cancelled.

To cancel the changes you have made, you must refer to the guide or the steps you followed to move the location of the program files and revert the changes exactly in the order given earlier.

If you have made changes recently, you can restore the computer before changes to the registry and check if it helps.

How to restore, refresh or reset your PC

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-8/restore-refresh-reset-PC

Important: System Restore will return all your files non-system as documents, email, music, etc., to a previous state. These files of types are completely affected by the restoration of the system. If it was your intention with this tool to recover a deleted file to non-system, try using a file instead of system restore recovery program.

  • Need help here with my Satellite A60 RAM

    Hi people

Hope someone here can help me because I looked on the internet and come up with almost nothing.

To put you in the picture. I bought my Satellite A60 at Hong Kong Airport and just him having when I saw how the screen was (seemed like a good idea at the time).

The model number is - PSA60H - 00C 006 - this is supported by Toshiba China site I think, but I do not read Chinese.

My problem is my RAM, I would like to level, but with what and in what order?

The laptop at the back, which States:
    TOSHIBA 15XC 40 RW/DV 256o C2.8

If I understand it, it tells me that I have 256 MB of RAM, but my reports only system 192 MB of RAM installed, is it his right?

If I install more RAM, I'll have to change the 192 MB, or he can stay, or it is not editable.
What is the Maximum of RAM this laptop will be except?

Do you know where I can buy the RAM? part numbers would be very useful here.

Thanks in advance for your help and time, people.

    Hi Steve,.

Your notiebook reports 192Mo of RAM because it uses RAM shared for your graphics. The default allocation for the use of graphics is 64 MB that comes from your 256 MB RAM module, which leaves 192 MB for normal use of your laptop.

You can leave your existing place 256 MB module and add extra RAM in the second slot, or replace the two modules. The choice is yours, but you'll always have 64 MB of RAM allocated for chart (unless you change this in your BIOS) for your laptop will never make the actual capacity of your RAM modules.

    Thanks for your help

    Hello

Unfortunately, you cannot start file recovery image installation. It works a little different.
What you can try is to read http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/HTD4103KB0000R01.htm and check if you can somehow create recovery media follows instructions described here.

  • Need help to retrieve the Satellite Pro C850 - 1 k 3

    Hello

I'm new to this forum, but I really need someone's help that my laptop has had a virus on it, and I have to do a complete uninstall of windows 8, (it was preinstalled, so I don't have a restore disc)

Every time I try to uninstall windows it says that some files are missing and to insert a disc of recovery of some sort that I did not.

    How can I do this?

    Thanks in advance for assistance.
PS: I tried to create a recovery with a blank dvd disk but it says insert USB pen, I did not.

    > I tried to create a recovery with a blank dvd disk but it says USB pen insert, I did not.
Usually, you can choose between USB flash memory and the DVD disc.
Did you change this option before trying to create the recovery media?

    > When I try to uninstall windows it says that some files are missing and insert a disc of recovery of some sort that I did not.

I have no idea what you tried to do, but the fact is that if you want to retrieve the laptop, you must use either the Toshiba recovery media (USB key or DVD disc) or recovery of HARD drive option, you can try:

Unfortunately the BIOS is screwed in place now. It s very bad situation now. To be honest it will be problematic now to do something and in such situations, you should contact the nearest Toshiba service provider.

From time to time people report on these issues and here is a very interesting link on how to fix it - http://forums.computers.toshiba-europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=54395
