RE-NOTIFICATION 12/12/2010
I just got an email with RE-NOTIFICATION 12/12/2010 as the subject. It puports come from microsofthelpdesk, but as he has an attachment and the date means nothing to me, I am very wary of its opening. Is anyone here know what this is? is it authentic?

Have you contacted Microsoft and await you for advice or assistance with a problem?
If so, it is possible that Microsoft can send you a patch file, to solve a specific problem. Otherwise, you should assume that the email came not from Microsoft.
The usual precautions apply. Never open unexpected file attachments. And when in doubt, delete the message.

Operating system is Windows 7 Ultimate x 64 RTM (up to date).
Unfortunately I don't remember exactly what I have installed or done before the problem occurred when I can't solve the problems it correctly.
Still.I tried to reset components WU and as far I can tell this has worked but problem persists. Tried both the 50202 Fixit (regular and aggressive) and the manual method described here: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/971058
Manual method has had some problems (exit cmd seems strange litle because I had activated "@ echo off"):

Namely the 'netsh reset winsock' should be ' netsh winsock reset "(à la fois sans quotemarks bien sûr)."» Then it works.
The first two changes of names worked as well throw errors on exit cmd but the third did not work since there is no folder "catroot2" in Win7 (at least I do not have). So I did the third manually.
Also regsrv32 failed to register or find several files:

I tried even wipe the entire own C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution folder but the problem remains.
I also locked on several similar threads here and I tried all the things suggested but still no luck. I do not have any rules all admin and im GP.
I have the latest Windows Update Agent installed as v.7.4.7600.224.

Hmm the bold line I marked - driven politics. So still a few GP setting blocks?
No idea what setting it may be? I already checked User Configuration / Administrative Templates/Windows Components/Windows Update andComputer Configuration / Administrative Templates/Windows Components/Windows Update
All the settings there are not configured. Subkeys of WU policy deleted the registry as suggested in another thread here.
Help!
Phew, I managed to get it working again. Here's the solution that worked for me:
Open the regedit.exe
* Navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer
* Delete subkey named NoWindowsUpdate (if it exists)
No need to reboot. Windows Update should now work correctly.
You can change this question of 'Response' now.

After the upgrade to 11.1.1.2 found agreement for trading partners
We have just improved 11.1.1.1 to 11.1.1.2 and a composite existing who sends a file of Oracle EBS to a trading partner outside does not work.
We tried to import of the agreement the 11.1.1.2 and when he wasn't working, we purged the repository and started from scratch.
The error we get is:
Agreement partners: FromTP Rheem, ToTP JPMorgan with document type JPPositivePay-1-OUTGOING
It is a file that we send to Oracle EBS to an external trading partner via FTP.
One thing we find is that when we create the agreement, it does not appear under our host TP, it appears below the TP target.
We have implemented the TP, channel and agreements exactly as they are defined in the 11.1.1.1 environment.
Here's the logfile in debug mode.

Delay of Subscriber notification followed Winlogon 0x800705b4 after installing MS Office 2010
My PC Windows 7 Professional x 64 now takes a long time to start. I see a screen "Configuring Updates" which remains at 0%, followed by "failed to configure.
The logs show a second delay 300 as follows:

Notifications will not be sent by e-mail - Exchange 2010
I looked high and low, read the manual and search the forums and I can't understand it.
Environment:VCenter/vSpeher 4.1 - ESXi 4.1
vCenter OpMan 5.0
Server Exchange 2010-1 Cas/HT 1 Server mbx
I have vCenter opman set up to report to my corporate email address when the health or risk alerts occur at critical or immediate level. It is set to the name of the object: checked world for all children. In the Console of Administration- http:// < ipaddressofvApp > / admin I have configure the smtp Protocol to point to my CASE 2010 Exchange and server HT. I use the administrator account to vcenter which has its own mailbox on the exchange server and is a member of the domain.
I left the ip address of the vcenter and VAPP receive connector to connect via an already configured in Ex2010. No emails... never.
Today, I created a new connector to receive specially selected vCenter OpMan and TLS security. no emails
SMTP is running on vCenter. but I guess I'm not sure what server sends these notifications... is what the Windows Server that I run vCenter on? What is supplied with the appliance of OpMan Quasi-linux servers?
I looked on the Ex2010 Server tracking logs and no emails have come to the exchange of the address I have provided above. Can what newspapers in vmware I consult to help investigate this issue? I see a lot of documentation on how to configure these notifications, but they fail / fall short by telling you things like how to make them actually work in your messaging environment.
I don't think that it must be complicated. I bought vCenter OpMan so I could see what is happening, and it is not uncommon to notifications by e-mail on these things.
I appreciate the thoughts and the time spent on this from anyone.
Tony
follow these steps
(1) connect to the VM user with the admin user interface
(2) run "vcops-admin smtp del" to RESET the SMTP settings
(3) replace the CLI-online whole vcops-admin...
-The log search questions by e-mail about communication with SMTP server is "analytics.log" on the "Analytics-VM.
-newspapers to search for configuration problems (for example, by setting the parameters) are on the "VM UI', / var/log/vmware-> admin.log, vcops - admin.log and vcops - admin.cmd.log

"Backup failed" notification on Palm Pre
I just received a notification on my phone that says "backup failed." I typed it, and he opened a message that says that my phone has not been saved since February 2, 2010. He then suggests that I press a 'Back Up Now' button that appears. I press it, and the phone just hangs. How can I get my pre back up successfully once again? I can't afford to lose my contacts in my business, and I hear, it's the "end game" for the same problem... all disappear one day.
Help!
You are right. Disabling backup removes only the data from the server of Palm, all data on the device will be intact.
Re-activation backup will create a fresh new copy of the backup on the server.

KB2289161 - a security update for MS Office 2010 has no
I make it work on all my boxes of XP SP3. We have recently upgraded to Office 2010 (some since 2007, some new facilities brand.) Later last night was a brand new installation and update of XP.
All other updates for the products and the BONES have been treated successfully. It's the only update that is untreated (and not reviewed by one of our boxes.) Repair by SBS 2008 x 64 (if that makes a difference). Have you tried both by the update service, as well as by hand.
Tried to go in a box and update the User Shell Folders registry settings, but no impact.
UPDATE - did get an error code: 0 x 80246002

It was for me that it was for OneNote, but no matter - the NDR was what was so annoying. I finally called Microsoft support (updated and security related calls are free!)
It's what helped on my new machine load, but still not able to rename Catroot2 unless I'm in Mode safe on other machines (something STILL locked, even when the Cryptsvc process is stopped.)
Fortunately I have only 15 machines:
1. stop Windows Update services (could also do it from the control panel services)
o 1 clickStart, click principally made programs, click Accessories, right-clickcommand promptand select run as administrator.
o 2. If you receive auser account control notification simply click continue.
3. o at the command prompt, type the following commands and pressENTER after each command.
net stop wuauserv
net stop bitsnet stop cryptsvc
4 o please do not close thecommand prompt window.
2. Rename the Windows Update files (could also do it from the Explorer window)
1. o at the command prompt, type the following commands and pressenter after each command:
o 2. ren %systemroot%\System32\Catroot2 Catroot2.old
o 3. ren %systemroot%\System32\SoftwareDistribution SoftwareDistribution.old
o 4. ren %systemroot%\SoftwareDistribution SoftwareDistribution.old
Please, 5 o. do not close thecommand prompt window.
3. apply Microsoft Fixit
o 1. 50461
o 2. 50202
4. restart 50202 requires it
5. apply the update of Microsoft 2289161
As I said, MY machine is OK, the others to accept the office, subsequently update, but VERY manually intensive.

Please stop - constant Security Center notifications
Out of nowhere I get constant notifications this malware/worms/viruses etc etc are attacking my computer. About 4 security pop - up every 15 minutes or so... and I can't stop! W500: Dialog box Outlook 2010 32 bit ' file/Options '. "fails on Win 7 64 bit
Hi all
For some reason, it seems to be interference between certain Lenovo W500 Driver/software and Office 2010 that breaks Outlook 2010:
1 / I installed a new copy of Windows 7 Enterprise, 64-bit, no driver installed Lenovo (IE only the provided Windows drivers) - there are devices that are not yet recognized, but I don't who has not yet set
2 / I install a new copy of Office 2010 Professional Plus 32 bit, which includes Outlook 2010
3 / once I start Outlook to join my Exchange Server and my messages start to flow-well
4 / I then go into file/Options and then make several settings and save by clicking OK - so so good fa
5 / can I update the system using the Lenovo update tool (update of the ThninkVantage system) and adding all the updates (not those in option)
6 / Once finished, after the obligatory reboot, I launch Outlook again
7 / I repeat step 4 above - a message box appears read "the file does not exist"; at this point, only the button cancel from the dialog box Options can dismiss the Options dialog box.
7bis / as in step 7, but just open Options and immediately, click OK (IE do not any change in the Options) leads to the same error "the file does not exist.
8 / restore the system to a restore point just before applying updates from Lenovo brings the system back to normal, IE as in step 4 above.
Any ideas of what might be broken Outlook?
Thank you!
Rodolphe
Well I finally resolved the issue - for some reason, as the "Sound reminder" field on the Advanced tab was empty. I put it to the mail notification sound electronic normal windows, and then the dialog box options was happy.
On the complement of research, it is effectively disabled. Don't know why but will survey.
