Re-register the VM and skip the question on the UUID

I am writing a script to reregister several virtual machines on an ESX host, for purposes of Dr. I use the command "vmware-cmd - s register vmfs/volume/vmfslabel/VMName/VMName.vmx.

When I registered the virtual machines on the new host and feed their place, I ask myself the question on if I want to create / keep / always create a new identifier.

I was wondering if there was a way I could script the fact I want to keep the VM UUID so that this issue does not appear when I turn on my failure on virtual machines.

John

Insert:

UUID.action = 'keep '.

or

UUID.action = "crΘer".

inside your VMXs with virtual machines powered off.
