Re: Satellite L505 - 10K - recovery image disorders instalation

Hi guys!

Just try to reinstall Windows 7 with SO included in the score of my Toshiba Satellite L505 - 10K by pressing F8.

Everything was awesome! , but after installation, on first boot, just released on desktop windows 7, the system stops and restarts.

Now I'm trying to reinstall W7, but the option of it (by pressing F8) does not, and if I let it load windows allways shows "setting up windows for the first start '... Enter to windows and scream down automatically.

A loop with the same.

Does anyone know how to solve, I would use the SO included in the partition, is possible to mw using a cd of W7, but think is not the right solution.

Thanks for all, and... Sorry for my bad English

Greetings from the Spain!

Unfortunately, it is not easy to say why this is happening. Hard I guess.
In my opinion, you should install recovery image again. Have you created a recovery (DVD or USB) media to try again?

    Hello, I have a question.

I bought a Satellite L505 - 10 k a month ago. It came with Windows 7 x 64, 3 partitions (I don't know why, 3? seriously?). I tried to install Linux, delete the last partition, called 'Data' and I screw them completely. I used the recovery DVDs to bring the phone to default settings and I discovered the system recover is Windows 7 x 32.

No idea why the systems are different?

It's just a minor issue, I guess, the only bad thing is that the x 32 system recognizes not the 4 GB of RAM. I use now only 3 GB of RAM.

    Hi Cabo_Nobbdy,

I think you should check your user manual and the specificaitions of your laptop first before starting a question. I founded the following information:

The DVD that came with your laptop recovery contains only 32-bit Windows 7, and normally, you can create the recovery disk using the Toshiba recovery disc creator. I put t understand why you didn't do it because after the first start, you get this message:

I bought a new laptop Satellite L505 - 10K around ago a week and a half, and for a week, it worked very well.
In recent days, however, I knew sudden BSOD several times a day.

I tried to restore the system, but it does not solve the problem at all. Given that the last breaks down, I did tests of memory from Toshiba and Windows 7 and also run memtest86 from one day to the next. There seems to be no problem with the RAM.

Is this a problem anyone knows?
To me, it looks like a connection inside the computer problem?

    Hello

To be honest, I also don t know the reason for this, but first, I would try to update the WLAN driver. You can find it on the Toshiba site.

Also, make sure that you use the latest version of the BIOS.

In the worst case there s a hardware problem and you need help, but authorized service I guess that your laptop is under warranty, the repair should be free.

I have windows 7 Home premium 64-bit, came with the computer, preinstalled, two partitions, partition D haveng disk HARD recovery of files, C having windows.

Now, after two years of use, laptop computer got slow at the start so I would like to restore the original configuration. Tried to hold "0" and turn on the power, nothing, just a loooot of beep. I tried f8 at startup, right, struck me for loading files, the windows login screen, but no "Toshiba HDD recovery" option not listed in the menu... I know for a fact that these files are located on the D partition, the question is, how to use them?

I have not fiddled with the system at all, except that I used the score d as a storage for photos and videos, which I transferred to the external drive now, before the drive HARD recovery attempt. He also noted, that the recovery DVDs must be created with the toshiba recovery media creator, but which was not preinstalled on my laptop and I don't know how to get it.

Close the program and then restart it (error code: 0D00F6-49-00000015) and then I click ok and then, it is once again and then I click ok and it is once again and I click ok and then the program comes and when I create the disc it comes to audit, but then it says: cannot read the following file. Grateful for your help.

    Hi putte32,

To be honest I never received this error before but it sounds like that recovery creator disc doesn t work properly... You should try a HDD recovery to restore the factory settings. Maybe you are able to create the recovery disk.

Otherwise, I would contact an authorized service provider. If you can t create the recovery disk, the guy should be able to help you to complete this procedure.

  • Satellite L300D - necessary recovery image

    Hello

I'm trying to restore my laptop to factory settings. It's a Toshiba Satellite L300D and recently it has been infected by the virus of security 2011 windows vista.
It still works in SafeMode with networking, and safe mode but I n t want to run the risk of more. I tried years ago to make a recovery DVD, but it never worked.

Now, I tried to retrieve from the hard drive, but he said, he cannot locate HDD 1 and recommended to try to remove the partition numbers which is something that I put t really understand.
Anyway that I can't get back to factory settings.

Is this what can I do to get my hands on a recovery image or address this issue. Any help welcome. Thank you

Recovery image is designed for the specific cell phone model.
Recovery image contains the operating system, all the drivers needed for some hardware platform and all the other extra stuff like tools and utilities.
You can try to install this image of recovery of your brother, but I can't say for sure it will work 100%. It can happen that OS load and after a few seconds the blue screen.

Look, if you like your laptop and you want to use some time, pay the 30 euro for the original recovery disc and problem is solved.
Otherwise, I must say that this old L300D works well with Windows 7 then maybe it would be a good solution for install you Win7 and have much better OS than Vista old. It is, of course, the most expensive option.

At the end is only your decision what to do.

  • Satellite L505 - 10K - Partition for Linux

    Hello.
    I bought a Satellite l505 - 10 k a month a go and it comes with 3 partitions.

1-> 400 MB my guess based on prior experience installing linux is that s a partition to startup or something like that, (the first time I tried to install linux, I deleted it and the third one (called 'data') and the laptop becomes unable to start.)

    2nd-> 250 GB system (w7 x 32)

3-> named data, I Don t know what is this to.

My question is, can someone give an idea or a tip on how to can install a linux distribution? because if I erase the 3rd and the 1st to have/home and / (and of course the swap) the laptop fails, and if I leave the first partition and can´t have / and / home because he says as West a number of partitions and can´t of the laptop handle it.

Another question I had is when I raced the last ubuntu livecd, I was unable to get the wireless operation. I have a Realtek RTL8191SE Wireless.

    Thanks in advance

If you don't want to delete any partition, you can use wubi link: [http://wubi-installer.org/]
    News page of wubi:
    * Wubi is an installer of Ubuntu with support for Windows users who can bring you in the world of Linux in one click. Wubi allows you to install and uninstall Ubuntu as any other Windows application, in a simple and safe way.*

How to install driver Realtek RTL8191SE (from http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1267961):
    * I have a Toshiba Satellite L505 and here's what worked for me: run terminal and type
"sudo apt - get install ndisgtk" and after it is done go here and download the driver for win2k.
Then, I just unzipped the driver file in the download file. Then I clicked on
    system-administration-windows driver wireless and sought
    for downloads - rtl8191 (the file that you unzipped) - 91_92_SE_Driver - win2k - net8192se.inf
click install, and then close. Has worked for me hope it works for you! I had to use WPA Personal
and tkip algorithms for all work, but it works well for TI

  • Satellite P100-188: recovery CD will install the SATA drivers on a blank HARD drive

I was wondering if someone could tell me if my recovery disk would be automatically installs the drivers for SATA HDD on my P100-188, in the case of a hard drive failure total without needing a floppy drive.

I've never had to use my recovery disc (touch wood), but I have the impression that it works in conjunction with a hidden partition on the hard drive in order to reinstall the operating system if and when necessary, I am not mistaken? If I'm so what happens if the hard drive is destroyed and a new disk? A

s Windows is not integrated SATA drivers I've read on the Internet that would stop dead in its tracks installation if you do not have a diskette at hand drive.

Someone had to deal with this problem?

    Hello

Yes, the restore CD installs everything you need in a single step.

The point is that the Toshiba Recovery CD is not the same as an original CD of MS Windows. The restore CD contains an image. It s a Pack that included OS Win, Toshiba drivers, utilities and software tools extra.

So, using the CD recovery will install all the applications mentioned, as well as the SATA drivers ;)

    Welcome them

  • Satellite L505-141 - recovery disk contains Windows 7 32 bit

    Hello

I bought my computer in the year around March last. I had with laptop computer operating system is Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. Lately I think the format of my laptop using the recovery CD that I have receviced with the laptop. I don't know why, but the recovery CD Windows 7 Home Premium 32 bit! Why its not 64-bit and 32-bit?

The laptop comes with 6 GB of Ram and Core i5 and I won't enjoy my laptop with 32-bit operating system. Is this normal? I was suppose to get the 32-bit operating system (really wired if you a laptop with 6 GB of memory). This really makes me feel angry. I feel that I have been cheated.

If ts the company I bought the laptop in and not the fault of Toshiba, I ask and investigation or something like that since they really make a bad name for you guys.

Please answer me as soon as possible.

    Andrei Braunstein.

    Hello

Before you wrote things that are not correct, please first check the specs on the Web from Toshiba site and take a look at your * user manual *!

The laptop comes with a recovery disk which is Windows 7 32 bit, so everything is ok with this disc and you got the right pair.

The interesting point is that the recovery disc for Windows 7 64-bit, you must create yourself such as mentioned in * user manual *! You can create this disk preinstalled use Toshiba recovery media creator. You need blank DVDs to create discs and that s all. After that do what you can to restore the preinstalled Windows 7 64 bit every time when you want to.

Now it s too late to do that, but you can order a recovery disc here:
    https://backupmedia.Toshiba.EU/landing.aspx

I can understand you he would do better to use Windows 64 bit on a laptop with 6 GB of RAM but don t forget some old don t on 64-bit applications and 32 bit necessary. In addition I m wondering you n t saw a message that reminds you to create the recovery disk. This message that you get after you first start your computer:

  • Cannot install recovery image on satellite Pro P300-1EX

    Hello.

I have never had many problems with a single laptop in my lifetime of work. I'm almost ready to throw this thing out the window. I have a satellite pro p300-1EX.

I wanted to do an install new os just to make things a bit faster for the customer, it was 8 hours ago.

First, I installed a Home Windows OEM pre 32B version. Then I saw that the CD would not work.

So, Okay - I'll bring back factory default:

    (1) there is no link repair starting and pressing F8
    (2) there is no HARD drive untilty when you press 0 - that does nothing
    (3) there is no recovery console, by putting in an OEM version of windows vista
    (4) I try to download recovery disk creator bloody software and get this - it does not work. It creates a shortcut to a file that's not here yet. TRDCLcher.exe, can you, im speechless.

So now, I have to spend £30 of my own money by obtaining a disc sent to me? I don't think so.

So, what can I please? It was a horrible experience. Nothing works. The recovery partition, I see is still in tact, it's just like the laptop doesn't recognize it. Instealing the OEM deleted all tools by default, but I can't NOT THE DOWNLOAD.

    Please, please help me.

    Thank you.

    Hello

Maybe it sounds stupid now, but this is simply.

Here's my explanation of how it works:
Almost 4 or 5 years Toshiba offers laptops without recovery DVD but with recovery image stored on the HARD drive. As much I know about former Satellite/Satellite Pro P300 recovery image was recorded on the second partition of HARD drive in the folder named HDDRecvery. This model laptop was shipped with Windows Vista.

As you know original recovery image can be installed n in two ways:
-You can use the recovery HARD drive installation method - http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/HTD1303440001R01.htm
-You can use the created recovery DVD disk

HARD drive recovery facility can be made if the laptop has only factory settings. In this case in advanced startup options (F8), you will have the option to fix my computer. If the notebk has been installed with the version of the OS or any other operating system of this option won't be available more. Because of this Toshiba has preinstalled reminder with the message for owners of laptops create recovery DVDs.

    Your questions:
    > There is no link repair starting and pressing F8
If this laptop doesn t have to factory settings it will not appear in the advanced startup options
    > There is no HARD drive untilty when you press 0 - that does nothing
If you have European book this model with zero will not work. It only works with the United States and Austraian mobile.
    > There is no recovery console, by putting in an OEM version of windows vista
I put t understand it. What happens when you start with the OEM version?
    > I am trying to download bloody recovery disc creator software
If you have the European model of laptop, it can not be downloaded. This piece of software is included in the recovery image only.

    > So now I have to spend £30 of my own money by obtaining a disc sent to me
I understand, but at least with the original recovery DVD you can install OS and all necessary things in an hour only.
    > The recovery partition, I see is still in tact, it's just like the laptop doesn't recognize it.
Yes. Without factory settings you will not have access to these data.

    Follow these steps:
-start your laptop and press F2 to enter the BIOS settings
-set the BIOS to default settings and reboot the laptop
-When the laptop reboots press F12 to get into the boot meny
-When the boot menu appears on the screen put the original DVD of recovery in ODD
-Choose the CD/DVD drive on the list and press ENTER
This will force it's STRANGE to be the first boot device and you should see process on the loading screen. Click next or OK nothing change and wait for the recovery procedure starts.

Please try it and let me know exactly what is happening.

  • Wireless and WPA - PSK on the Satellite L505 - 10 p

    Hello world!

I recently bought a new laptop, Satellite L505 - 10 p. I installed Windows 7 Pro (64 bit), but the wireless card was not recognized first (it is a Realtek RTL8191SE Wireless LAN 802.11n PCI-E NIC), so I went to realtek drivers page and downloaded the drivers but it didn't work, so I went to the toshiba support page and then I found the package with drivers fully functional under 64-bit windows 7... Well I thought.

I have two wireless access points I needed to connect: with WPA (TKIP + AES) protection and the other with WPA - PSK. Initially, it didn't work at all with the windows Connection Wizard, the wpa key interpreted... and he was always asking for it. So I installed ConfigFree toshiba web site and I have connected to my WPA (TKIP + AES), but the other doesn't work at all, it always says "connection error" (with ConfigFree)...
I know that the L505 series is very recent and that she needs an appropriate driver (not only in Windows, but also Linux).

You encounter this kind of problem?

    Thank you

It's me again! Forget everything I said... it was just the Mac filtering on my router blocking the connection...

  • How to install the recovery image on Satellite Pro A300?

I have a Satellite Pro A300 and I need factory reset. I learned from my teacher of computers there is a unknown virus on this subject. Apparently, it has been downloaded when I downloaded Malware bites. I got the laptop free of Set - BC because I muscle Handi-trophy and get tired of writing.

My teacher told me that I need to Factory Reset, but when I got the laptop, she had everything installed on, (kurzwell, Chrome, etc.) so I don't have the disc to factory reset. In addition, the virus has disabled everything that has anything to do with the internet, (Chrome, for example, Firefox, Outlook, malware bites, etc.).

Y at - it all means I have factory reset the laptop without the need of the disc.
    Any suggestions will help.
