How can I run CHKDSK/F of the set up menu windows XP computer goes only blue screen?
The computer does not start and does that blue screen error message * STOP: 000000024 (0 x 82FCE248, 0 x 00190203, 0 x 000000000, 0xC0000102)
I think it have to do with AVG anti program virus that I was updating it when it crashed and now gives me the blue screenThanks for the tips...For this STOP error (which indicates a problem with the NTFS file system), I always start with a chkdsk /r first starting in the Console recovery XP and its own runtime, THEN fix the problems.

How to stop her "enter network password" pop-up? (Windows XP Pro)
I'm unable to send or receive e-mail, but also a problem.
The server does not recognize my name and my password.I'm unable to send or receive e-mail, but also a problem.
The server does not recognize my name and my password. You must manually go to microsoft outlook and check again the information, as it is y a. not the configuration screen. You must edit your pop3 to HTTP and then any e-mail provider, use: www.yahoo.com and enter it in just like that. Then update your password and other and voila your in. I have this problem all the time. Whenever you change your password, you must update outlook manually. I do not use outlook for more than one e-mail address. Just pick one and use it.
Please let me know if this helped.

Running Windows XP home SP3. eMachines T6528 AMD Athlon 64 3500 + processor, nvidia GeForce 6100 GPU
I downloaded and executed a double file Finder and SEVERAL files deleted by mistake.According to these instructions, you are not supposed to do that! Look at them again. They are on p. 137 (or p. 145). (P. 137, printed on the bottom or the p. 145 of the .pdf file!)
Remove all the drives and physically disconnect all USB and network connections first!
Then either start as you normally would (if you can) and select:
Start | All programs | System recovery | System recovery
and then click Yes.
Or if you are unable to start up as usual, you will need to press F11 at the beginning - almost immediately after the ignition of the PC.
THEN, when you are prompted to, you can insert the disc. :-)

If this is the first time you've seen this Stop error screen, restart your computer. If this screen appears again follow these steps:
Make sure any new hardware or software is installed correctly. If it is a new installation, ask your hardware manufacturer or software, the Windows updates, you might need.
If the problem persists, disable any newly installed hardware or software, disable memory options such as caching or shadowing the BIOS. If you need to use Mode safe mode to remove or disable components of your computer restarts, press F8 to select advanced startup options, and then select Safe Mode.
Can anyone help? I installed an update of the necessary BIOS and that did not help and the computer is configured to have Windows Installer automatically what is updated, it needs.
Thank you.

A driver tried to access a pageable (or that is completely invalid) address while the IRQL was too high.
This bug check is usually caused by drivers who used a wrong address.
If the first parameter has the same value as the fourth parameter, and the third parameter indicates a runtime operation, this bug check was probably caused by a driver who was trying to run code when the code itself has been paginated outside. The possible causes for the error page are:
- The function was marked as pageable and was operating at an IRQL higher (including obtaining a lock).
- The function call was made to a function in another pilot, and that this driver has been unloaded.
- The function was called by using a function pointer that was an invalid pointer.

Error on blue screen (BSOD) during and after the installation of Windows 7
I had to reinstall Windows 7 using the recovery partition. When installing I kept getting blue screen errors and even now I still get the BSOD a few minutes. I have no problem in safe mode.
My laptop is a Satellite C650D - 12 c. I tried to update the BIOS, but I can't do it in safe mode. What should I do next?
Saved on the HARD drive recovery image is tested so everything should be OK with recovery image installation.
What you can try is to use the Microsoft installation disc to see if the same thing will happen again. If Yes, I'm afraid, you need professional help with this Portable Mr. probably guaranteed so the service guy should check this.
You created the recovery DVDs?
BTW: I think that the update of the BIOS is not solution. Recovery facility must operate with this original version of BIOS. -

Blue screen when you perform the search for live TV in Windows Media Center on the new Lenovo A700
I just got my new Lenovo IdeaCenter A700 yesterday and have been busy setting up. The computer is equipped with a built-in TV Tuner and I tried to put in place the TV on it so I could watch TV on my computer. I have RCN for cable and a cable TV that gets first plugged into the decoder and then I plug the cable to the TV - so I just plugged this cable on my computer instead of the TV.
I used the following Web site to set up using Windows Media Center - http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/9166/learning-windows-7-setup-live-tv-in-windows-media-center/. After that I put in my zip code he sought the power of the signal or something and then I got a blue screen. To restart the computer the information below has been MS. error message This happened to me twice.
Anyone know how to fix this? Or otherwise, I just want to use my computer to watch TV on, and if I can do this other method other than Windows Media Center free I am happy to do.
Please let me know if you need more information.
