  My wife recently bought a Satellite L10-114, which has 256 RAM. She found use a little on the slow side compared to my L20 with 512. Do I have reason to assume that an another 256 can be added in the second memory location to reach 512?

  I have a portable Satellite L10 that comes without WLAN.
  I bought and installed an Intel pro wireless 2200BG card on the MiniPCi slot. I have also installed and connected the mini-antennes.

  The device is activated but does not connect. I installed ConfigFree and the result was: "status of Communication Wireless: OFF." Switch where the arrow is pointing. "My laptop does not have this button, a plastic cap is here.

  Also, the combination FN + F8 does nothing.
  How can I solve this problem?
  How can I put it ON without having this button?

  Well, that's the problem - the computer is compatible wi - fi laptop? i.e. that my laptop has no antenna internal for the wireless card? because I don't see one when I remove my cover mini pci. When I installed the wireless 2200BG card intel (pro) it it has detected and installed but its signal was very weak. at the point where the distance between the access point pushes the connection is lost. my laptop has even an external button to activate wifi card that works for this card intel.
  The issue is always made my satellite L10 202 has a antenna internal wireless card mini pci

  The news that you are quite right. Toshiba has tested this laptop with the memory modules to follow:
  DDR2 400/533 256 MB (PA3389U - 1 M 25)
  512 MB DDR2-400/533 (PA3412U - 1 M 51)

  As you can see it's memory module DDR2 and if you use the part (PA.) to the Google number, you will find many online offereor where you can order this tested memory. I recommend buying the original or perhaps module of Kingston. On this way, you will be sure that the new module will be recognized correctly.

  Just FYI: Satellite A60 has 512 MB internal memory and a fool is only available for the upgrade. This unit can handle with max 1.5 GB of RAM. On the side down in the Middle, it is placed in the memory module cover. Remove it and you will find the RAM slot.

  For the RAM upgrade, you can use follow compatible memory modules:
  PC2700 512 MB (PA3312U - 1 M 51)
  1024MO PC2700 (PA3313U-1M1G)

  -memory modules are not compatible set
  -memory modules are not compatible with the laptop
  -memory modules are defective
  -a memory slots is defective

  In most cases, replace the memory module helps.

  A hint; have you tried to move the modules of memory in the slots? Sometimes it helps.

  The 64 MB has been installed in an internal memory and cannot be deleted.
