Re: Upgrade of Ram on L50 - A Satellite - 1 9

I have recently buy a RAM to upgrade my laptop to 8 GB, but after that I put it in my laptop, make a beep and shut down.

I tried with a kingstone set I did that through hard work.
Can I somehow reset my RAM?

You cannot reset the RAM. All you need to do is to buy compatible RAM module.
According to laptop specification your laptop has 4 memory slots and can be upgraded up to 32 GB.
The memory modules are compatible RAM for your machine:
2 GB DDR3L-1600-PA5104U-1M2G
4 GB DDR3L-1600-PA5104U-1M4G
8 GB DDR3L-1600-PA5104U-1M8G

There must be a problem of compatibility between the original and the new RAM.
Where have you bought? Is the manufacturer and of the same specification? I don't think so.

  • Satellite Pro 2100 - upgrade - upgrade memory RAM

    Hello together!

    For your information:

Upgrade memory today to 2 Toshiba Satellite Pro 2100 (1.9 GH, 256 MB DDR - RAM initially), both up to 1 GB, all fine and no problems.

Wanted to just end rumors "only 512 MB all together" or even less.

If you are looking for, don't forget to think of the specifications:

    DDR-266 (PC2100)
    DDR-SDRAM, SO-DIMM
    200 PINS
    2.5 CL

concerning the frequency of the RAM, building shape etc.

    Greetings

P.S.: Don't think that a debate is necessary, thread could be closed...

According to the specifications of the computer laptop Satellite Pro has two memory slots and can be upgraded up to 1 GB. It is very useful to have confirmation on the RAM upgrade for this model of laptop old but still good.

    Good day.

  • Re: Satellite Pro A300D-161 - I want to upgrade the RAM to 4 GB

Hello, I want to upgrade my RAM from 2 GB to 4 GB.

The laptop box, said the other: 2 GB DDR2 800 Mhz, but when I check the CPU - Z it says 400 Mhz

    http://img140.imageshack.us/i/cpuz1.PNG/
    http://img267.imageshack.us/i/cpuz2.PNG/

The website of toshiba says also 800 Mhz, so wich 1 I need to buy?
    1 x 2 GB DDR2 - 400 Mhz
    or
    2 x 2 GB DDR2 - 800 Mhz

Also, I wonder when I switch to 4 GB, the amount of memory will be dedicated to my video card?

    Thank you

    Hello

CPU - Z is definitely wrong! Satellite Pro A300D-161 needs DDR2-800 MHz to upgrade according to the specs on the Toshiba site.
If the information on the laptop box is correct.

More video RAM will be assigned automatically and with 4 GB of RAM you will get more memory video too.

    Good bye

  • Satellite Pro A120 - I want to upgrade the RAM

    Hello

I'm looking to upgrade the RAM in my Satellite Pro A120 Model No.: PSAC1E-05C00VEN

I'm getting conflicting reports as to how this can actually take, some sites say a 1 GB maximum per slot max so 2 GB while most of the others say max 2 GB per slot

I was hoping you could advise me.

Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.

    Hello!

Your Satellite Pro A120 is equipped with the Intel 945 GM chipset and so you can upgrade it to 4 GB of RAM.
Only models with ATI chipset can be upgraded to 2 GB and I think this is the reason why some sites say that it can be upgraded to 2 GB and others at 4 GB.

However, for the upgrade of RAM DDR2-RAM PC2-5300 (DDR2-677). You can buy 2 GB modules for a maximum of 4 GB.
But don t forget that only a 64 bit OS supports 4 GB of RAM.

    Good bye

  • Upgrade of RAM for Satellite Pro 3400

    Hello

I own a laptop Satellite Pro 3410, it has pentium celeron 600, 64 MB of ram and 13 '' dstn display. I want to upgrade my ram, somewhere, I read that it can be improved with 256 MB, so that there then 320Mo. My question is now, what I have to use 2 pieces of 128 MB of ram or can I use 1 piece of 256 MB of ram. The point is a friend gave me a 256MB ram for PC laptop (pc-100) toshiba, I put it and it seems to work (win2k showed me the 320Mo compleet), but can it be problems, using this a big RAM?

    I hope you can help

    Katja

    Hello

I think you mean a Satellite Pro 4310?

Normally it only uses the modules of memory up to 128 MB. But if your laptop is running with this 256 MB module, there should be no problem.

    Good bye

    Can I upgrade to PC2 - 667?
    Do I need Dual-Channel?

If I not mistaken and for what I could see around the internet, I should be able to switch to 4 GB PC2-667 and Dual-Channel should not be necessary. But an expert of confirmation would be appreciated.

    Thanks in advance,

    Hello

Laptop computer supports Mobile Intel® 945GM Express Chipset.
These results support single / dual channel DDR2 SDRAM

  • Satellite A200-1TW - I want to upgrade the RAM

    Hello
I think to upgrade my RAM from 2 GB to 3 or 4 gig.
I know that 32-bit windows recognizes only 3 gig of max, but I was wondering if it would be better to install 2x2g then 1 x 2 GB and 1 x 1 GB?
    Another question I have:
I opened my laptop to see what was inside this time, and it seemed that she had 2 parts of ram inside (photo: http://i44.tinypic.com/xojyhw.jpg)
    )
. So I was wondering, is this 2 x 1 gig? Or one of them is just a fake to fill the slots?

So in short: do I have to purchase a 1 gig or a 2 gig RAM, and I have to remove the one that is installed in order to install the new one (2 gigabytes)?

    It s not a fake both modules with 2 GB (2 x 1 GB).

Your Satellite A200 can be upgraded to 4 GB of RAM. You can buy 2 x 2 GB RAM DDR2-667 for laptops.
But don t forget that Windows XP will only recognize 3 GB. 4 GB, you need a 64 bit OS.

Here you can learn more about the limitation on 32 bit OS:

  • Satellite A100 (PSAARA) - upgrade of RAM possible?

    Hello

Just wondering if I could update my current ram in my laptop Satellite A100 and if so how?

He is currently a Satellite A100 (PSAARA) with 2 GB of RAM.

    Processor: Intel (r) core (TM) 2 CPU T5200 @ 1.60 GHZ 1.60 GHz

    Running Vista 32 bit.

What type of RAM upgrade I could on this system? And what code PIN?
And I know that this may be a shot in the water, but is it possible to update the graphics card at all?

Sorry am new on this... no idea what I'm doing, so if you could help I would appreciate it!

    Thank you

    > And I know that this may be a shot in the water, but is it possible to update the graphics card at all?
No, the graphics card can not be upgraded

    > It's currently a Satellite A100 (PSAARA) with 2 GB of RAM. What type of RAM upgrade I could on this system? And what code PIN?

I think modules laptop use the DDR2 533 MHz (PC2-4200) 200-PIN SODIMM, but AFAIK the 2 GB of RAM is max and this would mean that it of not possible to upgrade to 4 GB or more

But to be 100% sure, you should consult your user manual.

  • Satellite P10 804 will not accept the upgrade of RAM

Apologies, this is it is a bit long and also if this question has been covered elsewhere here: I had a good nose autour and have not found something that seems to help.

In any case, I had a Satellite P10 804 during these past years, I bought in the United Kingdom.

Quite early in my time with this laptop, I upgraded the RAM. It was 3 or 4 years ago, when memory was not as cheap right now, so I bought just a single 1 GB module. P10-804 will take up to 2 GB of RAM.

The P10 804 came with 512 GB as standard in two modules. My upgrade means I got 1.25 GB, which was in very good health. Everything was fine until the end of last year when the defective laptop; I followed the fault in module 1 GB of RAM. It was a bit awkward since I now live in New Zealand. However, the provider of the RAM was very professional, stood by their warranty, and we arranged a swap. RAM prices had fallen, so I bought another module of 1 GB at the same time upgrade the laptop completely.

Now the problems really started. The laptop would not simply work with the new installed RAM modules. It would work with one alone, nor even less with my old configuration of a module of 1 GB and 256 GB module. Start and run for five minutes before a freeze; white screen with fans roar; blue screen; frozen screen normal with strange objects; No start at all. everything.

Everything that works now is my original 256 MB module (his partner disappeared). This leads me to assume that I don't have some sort of hardware failure?

1 GB modules are DDR333 SODIMM, CL2.5. This laptop will also have the DDR266 modules, and it has been suggested to me, lower speed might work. I can try this option since the RAM prices are * really * low now, especially if I get confirmation of this as a valid strategy possible.

The laptop BIOS is updated to v2.00 (maybe?), and I also upgraded the HDD to a 120 GB unit (this works very well and is partitioned for XP and Linux). And from time to time I empty the fan.

Any advice welcome. Thanks for reading.

Reading your message, I came to the conclusion that this issue must be linked to the new RAM module and this module is malfunctioning or is not fully compatible with your laptop.

The P10 can be upgraded to 2 GB, so you should be able to use two single RAM 1 GB modules

So it must be a module problem

  • Satellite M70 needing an upgrade of RAM?

    Hi all

    I have a Satellite M70 who suffers.
It's all slow and despite my music collection among other major programs to transfer on a drive external HARD, my laptop frequently slows down and blocks much to my annoyance.

I regularly have a frag my HD on a base twice a week which helps a little, and I delete the temporary files, the Recycle Bin as well at the end of each month, but nothing seems to speed it up significantly. I run Spyware Doctor, but he does not reveal anything that would explain such a slow performance.

Could someone advise me what to do?
I asked for advice in this regard other suggestions is considering upgrading the RAM in an attempt to speed it up.

    Kind regards

    WMorgan86

    Hello

In your case I would check and start the MSCONFIG and would disable some background process is not necessary in the Start button.

The upgrade of RAM would be useful too.
The M70 would support max 2 GB of RAM and you need DDR2 533 MHz (PC2-4200) 200 - PIN SODIMM modules!

Instruction how to upgrade the RAM you will find in the user manual!

    Good bye

  • Upgrade memory RAM of 2 GB or 4 GB on Satellite U205-S5057?

    Hello

    I have a Toshiba Satellite U205 - S5057 Intel Core 2 T5500 1.66 GHz, 1 GB of RAM

I want to upgrade the RAM and I'm not sure of what would give the best performance, 4-GB, or 2GB?

I know that 4 GB is probably better than 2 GB, but I wanted to know if there is a very big difference.

Worth the investment to upgrade to 4 GB?

    Furthermore, I have Vista

    Thank you

    Hi mate,

in most cases, 2 GB are absolutely enough since the Windows operating systems cannot take the advantages of more than 2 GB of RAM installed.

I mean, you'll recognize a difference between 1 GB and 2 GB, but when comparing 2GB 4 GB then won´t you notice anything (except a little differences when working with Corel Draw X 3 and loading of 3 or 5 GB of photos in Corel... ;))

So I suggest to increase your RAM and if you then want to put some larger HARD drive and faster in your machine from a disk faster HARD wins more performance, then all the rest in a mobile computer system.

    Cheerio
