Re-use of SDC - 1vc on pc

recently bought a pump of SDC - 1vc Delphi of an old g5, I have had the pump power for use on a pc and stream is pleasant and there really quiet calm but I have no tach output, I tried to change the wires round but nothing. Everyone wired one of them with a tachometer/RPM out of work.

This RPM wire only work on a mac. I've seen images where resistance is welded over the tachometer and fed 5V to operate, don't want to try it incase I FRY my pump.

Thanks in advance

    Hi all

I am trying to configure Win7 so I can use two monitor (side-by-side) with the opportunity to work on both. For example, to keep the email open on one monitor and use other software on monitor B.

Here is a screenshot that shows the settings I use. Can someone please take a look and advise?

    Thank you!

    Todd

The graphics card may have the drive necessary to operate 2 monitors on a split bar but monitors also communicate with the PC to tell him what the monitor can handle using the SDC.

It cannot accept the two sets of data SDC on the same entry even if theoretically they have the same data to send.

    Hello

I see in some references of documents to this laboratory HOL-SDC-1314 - vCloud Suite Use Cases - updated application in service (PaaS) - use of vFabric

    However I find it.

I also tried to change the link to: http://labs.hol.VMware.com/hol/console/lab/hol-SDC-1414-hol

    and 1514. Always without success.

    What, please, can you

How can I find these old Labs?

    Best regards Daniel

    Hi Daniel,.

We do not keep the old versions in the HOL given the constraints of storage cloud. The current catalog HOL approximately 30 TB of storage and we have recently taken out of service about 20 TB of old pods in order to manage the development and preparation of new laboratories for the exchange of partner and VMworld 2015. You may be able to find the old pod, or something similar in one of the other clouds internal. I suggest you look in the catalogs of sandbox to see if something might meet your needs if HOL-SDC-1421 does not provide what you need.

All the manuals we have available can be downloaded in PDF format from the website of HOL Docs: docs.hol.vmware.com/catalog

There is a product search option. Unfortunately, we have more manuals before 2014 available here.

  • HOL-SDC-1314 - vCloud Suite Use Cases - application implementation service (PaaS) is broken to step 26

    See error - ideas?

    HOL1314errorat26.jpg

I think that you have been given a laboratory 'cold', which is an environment that wasn't quite ready when you started your laboratory.  I noticed that we had some mistakes on the back-end deploy this lab recently.  I deleted these errors and a few extra copies made so I hope that the next time you try the lab you will get an environment that has completed all the boot process and is ready to go for you.

BTW, on the desktop, there is a "tattoo" that indicates if the laboratory is ready or not.  When I started my HOL-SDC-1314 just now, I noticed that my office has indicated that he was not quite ready.  This workshop takes about 15 minutes to start from a cold start.

Please take HOL-SDC-1314 again and I think you will find that this error will disappear.

    Thank you for your participation.

  • DDC_AppendDataValueFloat takes longer with each use

I hope this is the right place to ask this question...

I use the DLL in third-party tools (Tools) to write several hundred points given to several hundred channels every 10 seconds. Each writing successive (DDC_AppendDataValueFloat) takes more time. This continues until the time it takes to write these data exceeds 10 seconds, used to collect the next batch of data. At this point, he began to get carried away. In fact, long before that, the computer is unusable.

This should take no more than 200 ms - less if possible. Initially, the times are on the order of 150 ms.

I have isolated and timed the call I do to this interface and can come to no other conclusion that: that's how long it takes to write the data. It's as if she must get the end of each channel to add new data. Surely, I'm wrong. Any help out there? Should I give more details?

    Hi chasadams,

The SDC library is not continuous to the disk.  If you ask to be added at the end of a TOC file, it will be first to load the current content of the TDM file in memory, adding memory, and then save the content expanded to a new file with the same name as the original of the TDM.  If you ask the library to the SDC to add at the end of a PDM file, the same process occurs.

This is the reason why NEITHER created the TDMS API (TDM streaming), but that only ships with the products OR (LabVIEW, CVI, MeasurementStudio).

You can alternatively continuously to the binaries and the TOC header writer DLL allows you to create a corresponding header TDM to your binary data files file.  It is also a free DLL that you can download from the web site of NOR.

  • PXI-6551 SDC auxiliary input Strobe CB-2162

    Hello

I use the CB-2162 prototying terminal accessory to provide the termination signal to a PXI-6551 module for signal acquisition, using a sampling rate of 2 Mhz (I can drop to 1 MHz if necessary). The sample clock is routed to the SDC/STROBE of entry on the CB-2162.

Data generation device is standard 10K ECL, so I configured the endings and the voltage detection threshold according to the note on this topic OR application. DATA signals are excellent, with high levels of-0.8 V and low levels of-1.8 V. However, clock signal levels - high V 0.62 and - 1.14 V typical, when it is connected to the CB-2182. When disconnected, the clock signal levels harmonize levels of data. The result is that it is difficult to set a threshold of voltage detection (half the distance between high and low) that will work perfectly for the data and clock. I have been using-0,95 +/-0.5 V for the tests, but the results are not reliable.

The documentation for the CB-2162 indicates the STROBE endpoint is different from the data lines, but does not say exactly how. There is a stop of the specified series, which is equipped with a resistance of 0 Ohm at the factory. By experimenting with the value of this resistance, I can bring the levels of the clock closer to the levels of data. For example, using a 330 Ohm resistance bring very close levels of the levels of data.

But, if I use something other than zero ohms resistance (I went as low as 37 Ohms) the HSDIO driver complains that the clock is out of specification. Specifications for the PXI6551, STROBE and data rows have the same specification (-2 to + 5 v). The signal quality seems excellent, and the timing is perfect with respect to DATA signals and the CLK.

    I don't understand:

    (1) how the ending of the signal is different for the lines of STROBE and DATA on the CB-2162

    (2) why the pilot HSDIO rejects the clock signal when it seems to be a very good signal.

Anyone can shed some light on this?

    Thank you

    ROSC

With National Instruments application engineers, this problem has been resolved.

The solution for this has been...

When he if interface ECL signals, it is preferable to use the Panel before the CLK in terminal SMB to connect the clock of the ECL. The STROBE input cannot handle all of the tension of the ECL.

Another important piece of information that was not clear (to me at least) documentation, which is the clock detection and quality control is carried out independently of data line detection. Thus, you can adjust the voltage thresholds for HI and LO detection based on the tensions of the data lines only. It is not necessary to take into account the tension of the clock for detection of data signal.

Now if I run oracleasm createdisk, it is said that the devices are busy. No, I removed the mounts of the devices in/etc/fstab. Now createdisk said that "the device is not a partition. Now I use asmtool command instead:

    / usr/sbin/asmtool - c-l/dev/oracleasm n OCRVOTE s/dev/sdc - a force = yes

That works fine, but I need to add more then one device to drive OCRVOTE. If I do

    / usr/sbin/asmtool - c-l/dev/oracleasm n OCRVOTE s/dev/sdd - force = yes

It is said: asmtool: unable to create 'OCRVOTE' ASM disk: file exists

    Hello

You're basically labelling records at the level of the BONE.

    This name must be unique.

You must give the label name different labelling while.

    / usr/sbin/asmtool - c-l/dev/oracleasm - n OCRVOTE1 s/dev/SDS - a force = yes

Then use ASM diskgroup in the future.

  • Bug of HOL-SDC-1430

    Hello

I just wanted to report a problem with HOL-SDC-1430. On Page 69 it SAIS to start the vRO customer. Howerver, I guess that the vRO service is not started on the vRA VM that is used in the example, so I can't connect to the vRO / customer downloaded.

I guess a simple chkconfig--level 35 vco-Configurator on in the vRA would do the job, but I was unable to connect to vRA on port 22 for verification.

I have looked into this issue more and discovered that vRealize as orchestrator was not properly authorized.  Good evaluation license that expired was beyond the initial period of 90 and so it would not start automatically.  Although I could get it to start manually, the best solution is to allow vRO correctly using vCenter Server license.  Once done, the server of vRO started very well.

While I was making changes in the laboratory, I also activated the vRO Configuration service and add a link in Firefox in the folder of bookmarks to the Admin.  In this way, if the vRO server can fail for any reason, you can get pretty easily it goes again in the laboratory.

I also added a SSH access for root to vra - 01 a .corp .local and vra - id - 01 a .corp .local. It's just in case the identity unit must be restarted or the vRO Configuration service is not available.

    Please start the lab.

    Thank you!

If you have any problem to create simple interface then do not use the user function.

    How to create the interface
    1. run ODI Studio
    2. choose the tab "designer".
    3. in the section models : model to create and import target and source of db
    4. in the sections of projects :
    Create interface
Go to Quick-editing (bottom). The target and Source value. Expression of mapping of the group as row_number() over (partition S)
Go to the stream. Choose the stage space, and in the Properties window, set IKM.
    Run the interface.

Read manual (press F1 in ODI Studio). ODI is not easy to understand software.

  • Using names EMCPowerPath for OCFS/ASM

Just to give you the context:
I had a knot two RAC install in place who worked without a hitch. We were using OCFS Clusterware shared storage (/ dev/sdd1) and ASM for storage of shared data files (/ dev/sde1, f1, g1, h1). We have an EMC san in place and both nodes are connected via iscsi to this Saint. We had problems for both SPS to appear on nodes, so we moved forward knowing that there is no failover on the side of san. In April Dell doing maintenance on our SAN so that both SPS are recorded correctly on each node; so now sdd1 and sde1 became the same volume, sdf1 and sdg1 etc, etc. We have powerpath installed and it creates a name common to two readers, so that the emcpowerb1 would be the same as sdd1 and sde1. Unfortunately, a bad updated caused 11.1.0.7 use to migrate the data to an instance of unique sleep in our cluster VM. Fast forward a few months and now I'm trying to rebuild CARS. I supported correctly ASM, Oracle, Clusterware via metalink. I could reinstall correctly clusterware oracle and asm with a successful for 11.1.0.7 upgrade. I have been let run and try the failover of the past week and have noticed a common thing. Randomly, there are mistakes of e/s on the drive to vote and that's because this volume goes offline, reboots are not allowing CRS start properly, because it is to see it as offline and the node running is evict node 'bad '. Even with the manual resources CRS site layouts, ASM and db instance it does not always solve the problem because the drive will go back offline or node is never allowed in because it was leaves.

The only change in 9 months ago til now, is that I now have double volumes because the nodes are correctly registered in Navisphere, so I am see SPA & SPB. Here is my fdisk-l to clarify:

The 85.5 GB are for the disc/ocfs with voting rights and 503 GB are for ASM. As you can see in the list the names of Mount emc are created by PowerPath. When I went to format the disk of 85.5 GB for OCFS I did the following: mkfs.ocfs2 b 4 K - C 32 K n 4 - L oracrsfiles/dev/emcpowerb1. I used emcpowerb1, because it is the common name for the two volumes. Despite this, when I run a mount a command I see/dev/sdc1 appear, not emcpowerb1.

Is it possible that me using emcpowerb1 for the mkfs.ocfs2 command is causing those errors I/O/drive offline? The only reason why I'm coming to this theory is because when I went to format the ASM disks I tried to use the common names of powerpath (e.g. emcpowerf1) and he said "no volume of these" and I had to use the individual volume name.

Anyone used OCFS with Powerpath names, if so, what was the point of tack that you took? I have time to regularize all oracle related and test if using emcpowerb1 was the problem, but if I can fix it do I want to try to do.

I use power-path on the electromagnetic compatibility with ocfs2

    Example:
    / dev/emcpowera1 10G 6% 586 M 9.5 G/U01

Is it possible that me using emcpowerb1 for the mkfs.ocfs2 command is causing those errors I/O/drive offline? You use EMC with multi-path, if you are licensed you must use
