  Hi, I set up my out of office a year ago, when I went on maternity leave, and now I can't figure out how to turn off. I have the feeling that I do not do it the conventional way and there must be many ways to implement one of them.   Out of office responses are best set up in webmail account that you access using a browser.
  In order to check it there first.

  If you set up in Thunderbird, then you should leave the computer and Thunderbird running connected to the internet all the time.
  You have created an email from model to use. It is in the folder "Templates".
  You would have also established a Message Filter to answer e-mails in the address book using the email template.

  You can set default email under Tools | Accounts | Mail | Properties.  OE will then use it by default, but if the e-mail was sent to a different e-mail address, when you reply, OE will use this e-mail address and not the default value in the response.  If you cannot set the e-mail by default, or if OE doesn't know it, then you can go to file | Identities and install a new identity and add your mail accounts to ensure that identity and that should solve the problem.

  I have vista home premium 32 bit on my laptop and I use Windows Mail and I'm having a problem. If a person of my company sends me it comes in fine. When I answer, however, they receive a mess of data at the top of the answer of the message that seems to give them all sorts of information on my laptop and computer-info. If I generate a new email to anyone in my company, they receive those fine. THUS, it seems that you answer is the question.

  The problem has been resolved by validating my account in Windows Mail.  I have no idea why it was right and necessary, as I had used it for 2 years, it started to arrive there shortly, but since there were no problems reported so that seems to have solved the problem.  I'm sorry that I can not credit anyone with the answer because no one has suggested this solution and I found on yahoo and tried and it seems to have done the trick.

  No, normally we don't answer emails and private messages. You must keep your message (s) and you will receive an email with a link to your message every time that you got a response.

  Version of Thunderbird installed 38 last night. This morning I have urgent questions on the email.

  I open Thunderbird and before it finishes downloading the mails from the server, and sometimes even before the end of the authentication password for the accounts, if freezes. I restarted three times with zero improvement. Mouse and KB are both unresponsive while the LED mouse works when the mouse moves and indicators CAPS etc meet key activities respective, so devices are working on their own, but Mozilla Thunderbird blocks the communication between them and the PC.

  Now, I don't have access to email and no way to know when there is an answer to this! Nice!

  What exactly is necessary to make Thunderbird work? And how can I find out about it without any email?

  I use Windows 7 on a PC. I use Firefox and Open Office, no other product from Ms.

  Try turning off hardware acceleration.
  Tools (Alt - T) - Options - Advanced - general tab
  Uncheck the "use hardware acceleration".

• Formatting of e-mail response changed after installing Enigmail

  When you reply to an email, the answer is entered/typed is sheathed line much shorter than the original e-mail remotely. This moved not before installing Enigmail.

  Unable to find a framework that could affect it. Look at a message to the Original HTML format

  Using Thunderbird 24.3.0. The Lightning has also installed well before Enigmail with no problems.

  It is my understanding that when you use encryption software the format changes in plain text. There's not a lot of formatting in plain text.

  You can go into the configuration editor and enter wrap look and see if these settings help you with your problem of Word wrap.
