• HP Pavilion DV7 laptop: Touchpad, sometimes active, even when the power button is pressed on off (light orange)

  I use a wireless mouse (or a wired mouse) preferably instead of the touchpad.   The touchpad has a power button to press - white light indicates on and off Orange light.    After booting, I usually disable the touchpad and mouse wireless, however, sometimes when you type I realize my palms are contacting the touchpad and the cursor jumps around accordingly.    The touchpad is disabled (orange light) but I can control it with a finger, it works like its supposed to as if it is enabled.     Any ideas?   I have not downloaded a driver updated or do anything to try to solve this problem, as I fear, it could actually cause other problems.

  Update the driver it is the usual Council for problems - that is the solution here?   Has anyone else had a similar problem.    Most of the touch pad problems I've read is in regards to an erratic touchpad - nothing to do with 'on' or 'off' problems.

  I understand that you use the power button / stop to turn off the touchpad.  Sometimes, you will notice that your palm is in contact with it and the cursor is accordingly jump around but the rest light orange, to show that he has disabled.  Here is a link for HP Notebook PCs - using the touchpad and ClickPad (Windows 10). Please review the section on "Open the properties of the ClickPad" in figure 4, you'll see there's a button where you can disable the touchpad, until you want to reactivate it.   Well, if the AC adapt is plugged and the yellow/orange flashing light, so it could be a power supply error.
  If the unit works only with the battery and flashing light orange so it could be a low capacity battery or the machine is not plugged in.
  I think you should contact the service partner to solve this error.

  I'm so lost. My first month with this brand new laptop was problems he gave me a blue screen and shut down on me. I thought it was normal that it was my very first laptop.   One blink indicates a failure of the CPU. You will need to have to replace to make it work again. Maintenance and Service Guide, I have provided in my last post will show you how to replace and give you compatible part numbers to replace. You can find this information on page 94.

  I noticed several times when I close the lid of the laptop, the light on the drive to the front of the laptop becomes a flashing or steady white to orange.  What does that mean? This means that the hard drive is in a State of "rest"?

  Problem:

  I got this funny problem. When I go to the work area, I get a strange orange lines light when I have the video playback (see attached image).

• The Airport Extreme 2 to died (light orange) 5 years

  A few days ago my MacBook pro let me know he could ' t locate the time capsule and hand't stored in more than a week.  I checked the other computers in the House, I discovered that they were all not finding time capsule not more.  When I checked the device the light was green, and all machines were connected to the wifi signal that he died.  I unplugged the Airport Extreme and gave him a minute or two and it reconnected.  I never heard the spin drive up so I guess the hard drive should have failed a few weeks ago.  After power cycling the light remains orange solid, and wifi no longer works.  Airport utility will not find the device.

  It worked because the TC was functional, even if the hard drive was not... If you open airport utility you should have seen a hard drive error, but he might have ignored, so... in fact the main light must have been orange flashing not green.

  The TC is designed to test the hard drive when starting... If it fails the TC does not start.

  You will have an indicators of solid orange color which is hard drive failure.

  Once you install the disk simply go to the tab of disc airport utility and erase the drive... which will set it up properly.

  One thing to consider is the economy... a TC 5 years really may not be worth a repair... power supplies can also go wrong.

  If it's a Gen3 and when you open it is brand Delta power, then it might be interesting to replace the drive... a Gen4 usually also would be worthwhile. Disk 4 Gen is WD green... and he might have lost format rather that died... you could so be able to simply delete it.

• Pavilion Elite m9200t: Light Orange lighting... No monitor activity

  Hello, looking for a little help.  I have a m9200t which was working fine until this morning.  When I turned on the PC the light output was orange instead of blue and the screen remains black.  The Office seemed to work because I could see the other LEDs (i.e. disc and dvd player).  I forced the closing down by holding the power button pushed in and unplugged the PC waited a few seconds and is plugged in.  This time when starting the PC, the power light was blue however no activity monitor.

  I looked at the back and the light on the power supply is green, fans seem to work well.   I also tried to plug the PC on another monitor, but no dice.  Any suggestions on what could be the problem or some additional troubleshooting steps?  Thank you.

  If you can get the PC started using VGA so you can certainly get rid of the hibernation file.  Open the RUN and enter the following commands:

  cmd

  powercfg-h off--> it will turn off hibernation (replacing offshore by the market a hibernation)

  output

  Windows basic drivers should work with the NVIDIA 8600 if Windows does not start with the card in the PC.   The HP NVIDIA 8600 that I have on the shelf has S-VIDEO, HDMI and DVI.  You could try a differnet video card port if you have the right cable and your monitor and support this connection.

  At this time the video card may be the problem.  Try to clear the CMOS memory. You may have a bios problem.

• Constant light orange after firmware update

  Yesterday I message on there is a new firmware available for my Time Capsule (4th gen - 2 to).

  After installing this firmware, my Time Capsule never returned :-(
  After a minute or ten wondered what happened, because my signal is usually a minute or two.

  So, I look at my Time Capsule and haven't seen any light burn. So, I wait a little while longer and unplugged my TC.

  After power up still once, the light turn green immedialety and turns into a constant orange light.

  My TC does not funy noises and can hear my HD spinning, but I heard no noise at startup. That I used to hear after the reboot.

  The three types of reset, does not work. On the left, I unplugged for 24 hours, what has not worked.

  And when I look at some info on the apple site, which does not help me either.

  Is there someone who has experience with this problem or knows how to fix this?

  It's less than 3 years... and you have applecare on computer, ipad, or appletv. Apple can replace under applecare. But the requirements are quite stringent and more will now be out of any warranty.

  There is a difficulty which is surprisingly successful. Apparently, the problem is caused by bad soldering. A reflow of solder can fix it.

  In your case, I recommend to calibrate the battery first.

  You must discharge the battery until the cell stops automatically. Note: save your work before the laptop would be turned off!
  Then let the laptop connected to the power adapter for a longer period of time.
  Usually the LED status should change to green (or blue depending on phone model).
  Then discharge the battery once more. Repeat 3 or 4 times.

  Currently, I'm stumped on troubleshooting lights error code for a hp compaq cq62 customers. I tried the hard reset, the reinstallation of the memory and even plug the laptop directly into the wall instead of a surge protector with battery removed. I can't find any solution on the HP site or any other site of forum for this issue as to what a solid caps lock light and a solid orange light on the f12 key.

  Currently I think the customer may need a new back light system or a new processor. Before to come to this conclusion, I hope that there is a clear solution for my problem. Thank you for any assistance.

  I understand you are having problems starting your PC clients laptop Compaq CQ62.

  A single glance on the caps lock light usually means it is a failure of the CPU and requires a replacement of CPU or the motherboard.

  Also try to go through these documents to resolve startup problems:

  Computer does not start and the lights blink or the computer will beep.
  Troubleshooting of the black screens with no start-up or start-up error message.
  Tests of hardware failures (Windows 7, Vista) or hardware failures (Windows 8).

  You can tell if the backlight is the issue or start by plugging in a VGA monitor to see if the screen is displayed or not. If this is the case, you have on the laptop display problems. If it isn't, you're dealing with a problem of CPU, GPU or motherboard.
