Read metadata from the batch file

Hello world

I wonder if Lightroom 3 offers a feature that allows me to read metadata from file for multiple images in a batch process. The reason is that I changed the GPS information for a couple of my photos using the pluging Geoencoding support from Jeffrey Friedl and let him rewrite in the DNG file. Since I blush as the shadow data, I don't see any GPS information in my table of metadata to Lightrrom even if the data is present in the DNG format. Now, the real question is: is there a better way to get my GPS data in Lightroom that empty library and re-import all my photos?

Oh, and before I forget: Yes, I searched this forum - and a few others as well - and I found some stuff on information in batch processing time. However, the method presented here apparently does not apply to my problem.

Thanks for any information.

Good day

f.

In the library Module, select the grid Mode. Select all the images you want to read metadata from. Go to metadata > read metadata from files

Similarly, you can change to time zone / AM - PM problems, etc. by going to metadata > edit Capture time

    Hi, I m a bit new in LabVIEW and I'd like to ask a few questions...

    -There is a possibility to run Labview projects or to set them off from a batch file or if the exist and the ability to control labview or run it from an external application?

    -One API PI or raspberry beaglebone exists for LabVIEW?

    -Power supply Wich can recommend you control with LabVIEW? (some chip solution witn 0 - 30v / 0 - 3A DC)

    Thank you very much for your advice!

    Best regards

    Elena

    Elena,

    I know raspberry, so no comment on that.

    For the rest:

    -Do you want to create tools for developers? If so, we must look in the API of project VI and VI server. If this isn't the case, please compile your application LV as executable and call this one using a batch file.

    -LV prefer specific supplies. LV is a programming language. There are several power supply providers (including OR) which provide directly the LV API for their power supplies. So, essentially, the approach is:

    1. choose food that serves your needs.

    2. check if the power supply has a standard interface for programming (such as Ethernet, GPIB, or if the power supply is PXI, is already providing a programming interface!)

    3. check if the LV API (so-called "instrument driver") is available for the device. In the case of a PXI system, get you a device driver (for example NI DCPower).

    4. check if the LV samples are available (for example in the Finder for example LV once you have installed the driver).

  • How does a BPEL knows when he has completed the batch file?

    Hello
    I have a bepl process to read data from a csv file and write in an Oracle EBS interface table. My next task is to call a program simultaneously in EBS, once all the data have been loaded into the table interafce. I want to ask the program simultaneously in the same BPEL process. Since the incoming workload is great, I'm the batch processing of files and publication messeges in pieces. So before the BPEL process needs to know that all data have been loaded into the table of interface before he can call the concurrent program. How do I get there? Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Hi Sankash,

    The FileAdapter can notify a BPEL process dedicated on when a batch begins, ends, or fails. This BPEL process must implement the operations specified in

    .. /ORABPEL/system/xmllib/JCA/BatchManager.WSDL
    In bpel.xml - in activation FileAdapter agent - you must also set the following property:

    BPEL: / /.

    The process BPEL will receive the 'onBatchReadComplete' callback when the last record in the batch has been sent to the BPEL process.

    After this point, you can use the XPath ora function: batchProcessCompleted (batchId, processId) to determine when real bodies having their treatment is complete.

    I hope that answers your questions!

    See you soon

  • I want my procedure to return the error message in the batch file

    Hi team,

    I have a requirement from users of the company. Could you please provide your suggetsion to achieve this.

    We have a batch file that is short on time, in this batch file, I'll call you a SQL script.

    In the SQL script, I called you a procedure to run.

    Inside the procedure, I have the following statement,

    Select, insert and update commands.

    and I use ANOTHER exception to handle errors.

    My requirement is to pass the error messages for the batch file when one of the orders was not not run and send a notification e-mail to the group with the error text.

    Please provide your suggestion.

    Thank you and best regards,

    Robette.

    Could you please tell me, inside the procedure I have to remove the OTHER exception and how I can pass the value to the command file and where I add the content of the e-mail notification.

    I suggest that you write modular code instead.

    1. create a log table

    2 modify the procedure to log on to the error log table or exceptions

    3. that others suggest have the recovery/return procedure an exception in the client/batch file

    4. for an exception have the batch file to call a procedure to do the emailing if there were exceptions

    IMHO, it's a MISTAKE to try to put all these features in a single file. It is NOT scalable and makes it almost impossible to update the batch file if the requirements change in the future.

    Logging should be a separate process with a separate log table so that you can capture ALL of the information that may be necessary, now or in the future. Enter information in a table of newspaper, it is EASY for ANYONE to query to see what problems are occurring in the process.

    Emailing should be a separate process so that it can be used for your batch file current, files of future orders or even by procedures or functions in the database.

    Do not try to create a solution "a script does everything."

  • Problems of updating the metadata in the original files

    I'm trying the combo CC Lr/Pr on a Macbook Air. I tried to change the time of a few photos to correct an error of time zone, has functioned well. I tried to write metadata in the original files and all the fields "date created" originals have been updated date and time!  Any suggestions on how to fix?

    If I import the files in another application such as Photos or ACDSee photo, correct 'photo' time must see?

    As long as you did the metadata > save metadata to a file, or better, you have set the settings to catalogue option > metadata > automatically write changes into XMP, then any photo app reasonably in line with the standards of the industry will be able to read the capture time, you set in LR.  I am reasonably sure that the Photos and ACDSee are standard, but it is best to test to make sure.

  • Problem with 2 updates, called from a batch file

    Hello everyone,

    I use Oracle 10 G and SQLPLUS to generate an export file on a Windows platform from a batch file.

    Everything seems fine, except for the part where I'm doing two consecutive updates. Whenever I do it with SQL anymore, only the two updates is committed, which means that I only have half of the data that I need to export. When I do it in an anonymous PL/SQL block, it works fine. I have not understant where is my mistake:
    UPDATE ITEM SET I_TRANSACTION = 'Y', I_TRANSACTION_DATE = SYSDATE WHERE I_ITEM_NUMBER IN (  SELECT I_ITEM_NUMBER
                                                             FROM ITEM
                                                           WHERE  I_TRANSACTION = 'N'
                                                                                                                                                                  AND  I_SALE_DATE >= (SYSDATE - 30));

    UPDATE SERVICE SET S_TRANSACTION = 'Y', S_TRANSACTION_DATE = SYSDATE WHERE S_SERVICE_NUMBER IN (  SELECT S_SERVICE_NUMBER
                                                             FROM ITEM
                                                           WHERE  S_TRANSACTION = 'N'
                                                                                                                                                                  AND  S_SALE_DATE >= (SYSDATE - 30));
    COMMIT;
    EXIT
    /
    Why is only one of these two update is committed? When I do my reel, I see either items or services, but never both. I have the same executed in a PL/SQL block and it works properly.

    I need to split updates into separate files?

    I made more complex stuff with SQL Loader, I wonder why this thing is annoying me.

    I'm sure it's only something trivial, but I don't see it right away.

    Thank you for your help.

    If it works in a PL/SQL block, then why not do it this way in your file?

    BEGIN
      UPDATE ITEM ...;

      UPDATE SERVICE ...;

      COMMIT;
    END;
    /

  • Dynamic text from the text file problem

    Go step by step to get my data from MYSQL/php... for now, I'm stuck and cannt even get it from a text file I do worng!

    This is the code I use:

    var myLoader:URLLoader = new URLLoader()

    myLoader.dataFormat = pouvez

    myLoader.load (new URLRequest ("trees.txt"))

    myLoader.addEventListener (Event.COMPLETE, onDataLoad)

    function onDataLoad(evt:Event) {}

    for (var i: uint = 0; i < evt.target.data.cant; i ++) {}

    This ["tcname_" + i] .text = evt.target.data ["tcname_" + i]

    }

    }

    My trees.txt file contains the following:

    Plum = tcname_0 & tcname_1 = olive

    I made this as well:

    & tcname_0 = Asian plum & tcname_1 = Amazon lily &

    I have already created a few instances of dynamic text from tcname_0 up to tcname_5

    I tried with having the text in dynamic text or leave it empt anyway... nothing is read from the text file, what I am doing wrong?

    In your trees.text file, you neglected to include the variable of cant, so the loop has an undefined value to life...

    Plum = tcname_0 & tcname_1 = olive & cant = 2

  • How to read continuously from the rs232?

    Hello

    I'm new to LabVIEW and my questions would be obvious for some for you. So please help if you know the solution.

    It's for my school project. For your information, we need to schedule a Committee of Altera DE2 to control traffic lights (something like that) and at the same time, the Commission shall forward the States of enlightenment to a computer with LabVIEW installed via an RS-232 cable.

    The rest of the project was fine except for the part of LabVIEW, because as I said earlier, I'm new to LabVIEW.

    We use the "basic series write and Read.vi" in the folder examples of NEITHER. The problem is that we do not know how to change the vi in order to receive the data that come the DE2 Board permanently. Each time, the vi stops reading after receiving 24 bytes of data.

    So, the first question is:
    1.) how to read continuously from the RS-232 port? (We tried to use while "loop" but without success, maybe we were doing it the wrong way.) If you know the solution, please enlighten us for us in a detailed manner.

    (2) Secondly, once we have received the 'chain', how can convert us to bits (0 and 1) so that we might be able to manipulate the bits, for example turn on the LEDs that correspond to the bits.

    Thank you.

    Instead of reading the bytes of the port so to read that many bytes (which may be zero), just do a VISA read for 1 byte.  He will wait for this next byte.

    To get an array of Boolean out of this byte, use this code.  He turns the characters into a byte array.  Takes the first and the only element of this array, and then converts this single U8 number into an array of bytes.

    Which country are you?  I've never seen or heard lights orange before.  Only the yellow lights.
