Read-only check box

How can I make a read-only a bit more visible than the value checkbox by default very-grayed display? I realize gray is almost a default mode to turn off the box, but the user wants to be able to see it.
Thanks in advance.

  • Read only check box is clickable on Mac computer

    Hello everyone!, I have a PDF file with certain text fields, check boxes and drop-down lists and created a button that, when clicked, it makes all the fields 'readonly = true '. This works perfectly for all the fields in a Windows computer, but when I open exactly the same document on a Mac computer, the check boxes and drop-down lists can be changed (meaning of the "readonly = true" does work on Mac),

    Y at - it a solution for this?, or is the wrong code? (code below)

    for(var i=0;i<this.numFields;i++)
    {
        var cNm = this.getNthFieldName(i);
        this.getField(cNm).readonly = true;

    Waiting for your reply and thanks in advance.

    Make read-only conditionally temporarily or permanently?

    In the first case, use a textarea element with the readonly attribute of the element instead of the built-in read-only properties. Set the HTML attributes of the element form item to the text box to:

    readonly="readonly"

    If it must be made conditional or temporary, explain the requirement in detail.

    ·         What the format of the document files?

    ·         What is the location of the document files that have turned into read-only?

    Follow these steps and check if that helps.

    Step 1:

  • Unable to copy files... Read only problem?

    A few weeks back, I noticed that I couldn't copy or access certain files on an external hard drive.  If I tried to copy the files to another drive, only a few files copy and then she quit.  Finally windows could not even see the external hard drive.  It is this same thing on three different computers. I assumed it was a problem of hard drive and that it was not...

    At the time it seemed that I could access the files on all computers.

    Today, however, I tried to copy photos on my camera and it's the same thing. He copied some files and then abandoned. I then tried to copy the files to my laptop and it's the same thing.

    It seems that all folders on all three computers are 'read only' and if I uncheck it automatically re-itself allows to...

    Any ideas as to what could be the problem?  This could be something to do with the parameters of authorization on the computers?

    Thanks for your help.

    Steve

    Edit: I tried simply to copy the files from th again. During which I repetedly went to folder properties and off to read-only and it was able to copy most of the files, the only exception is a large 100 MB video file +... This looks very similar to what was going on with my external hard drive...

    Whatever the problem is, it isn't the read-only check box.  In XP, the 'Read only' checkbox in the properties is associated with a custom folder and has nothing to do with the write protect.  A good explanation is in this article:

    "You can not view or change the read-only or the attributes of system files in Windows Server 2003, Windows XP, Windows Vista or Windows 7"
      <>http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/326549 >

    Is the number of characters in the path to the file?  If you have directories within directories, etc., the number of characters in the path to the file can become large.  Windows has a limit of 256 bytes.  There are other more reliable means of copying the files.  Discover "Robocopy" (robust copy) that figure in the freeWindows XP Resource Kit .

  • Files read-only - changed settings but still problems!

    Hello
    I am editing a file from read-only to not read-only:
    I have a pictures folder that I'm trying to change with Windows Photo Gallery and save the original name, so to replace the original... but whenever I make changes, it says
    "Changes to this picture have not been saved. The file may be read-only, or you are not allowed to save to the location of the file. »
    I unchecked the read-only check box in the folder options and click on 'apply', but this did not help, because it still won't let me save the changes, and when I go back to the options of folder again the read-only box is checked again!
    Can anyone help? Thank you.

    The parameter 'read only' is an attribute of file having no real impact on the security settings of the individual files under it. You need to go to the Security tab of the folder properties and appropriately modify the permissions of the folder it.  In which case it's a remote shared folder you will need to do it from the computer sharing the folder, also change the share permissions to allow remote clients to write in it.

  • Cannot save a document when crossing the line through Deltech, it says read-only, how can I change this?

    My daughter has a test under deltech, when she goes to save him, it says read-only.  What should I do to fix this?

    Hello

    I suggest you follow the steps that can help you solve your problem below:

    1. Find the file you want to edit.

    2. Right click on the file and then click Properties.

    3. Click the general tab, clear the read-only check box, and then click OK.

    4. Edit and save your file as needed.

    If this does not work, contact Deltech.

  • The document can be encrypted or read-only

    Due to the corruption of the boot files, I restored PC back to factory settings, recreated the user accounts and re-installed all software. The last step was to restore backup user files.

    For example, to restore all files in c:/users/xyz in their original location. No problem, all of the files restored successfully.

    However, when I go to c:/users/xyz/documents/abc.doc for example and you try to open the file, I get this "Word cannot access abc.doc. This document can be read-only or encrypted"message.

    I look at the properties of the folder c:/user/xyz and see that the read-only check box is shaded. I disabled the read-ony assign and apply to all folders, subfolders and files. He goes and lists all the folders and files it modifies the attribute. The box is now without shading.

    However, when I try to access any file, I get the orginal error. I then check the properties of the folder c:/user/xyz and the read-only check box is shaded again!

    Same question if I try to change the read-only attribute of any file or subfolder level.

    Whenever I try to access any file, the parameter returns to read-only.

    Any ideas?

    Go to the folder and give you all the rights in both the main and the display screen advanced (including all subfolders and files).  In the screen advanced and then click the property tab take possession of the entire folder and all its subfolders and files.  Here are some tips that can help you.

    To view your permissions, right-click on the file/folder, click Properties, and check the Security tab.  Check the permissions you have by clicking on your user name (or group of users).  Here are the types of permissions, you may have: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-vista/What-are-permissions.  You must be an administrator or owner to change the permissions (and sometimes, being an administrator or even an owner is not sufficient - there are ways to block access (even if a smart administrator knows these ways and can move them - but usually should not because they did not have access, usually for a very good reason).)  Here's how to change the permissions of folder under Vista: http://www.online-tech-tips.com/windows-vista/set-file-folder-permissions-vista/.  To add take and the issuance of right of permissions and ownership in the right click menu (which will make it faster to get once it is configured), see the following article: http://www.mydigitallife.info/2009/05/21/take-and-grant-full-control-permissions-and-ownership-in-windows-7-or-vista-right-click-menu/.

    To resolve this problem with folders, appropriating the files or the drive (as an administrator) and give you all the rights.  Right-click on the folder/drive, click Properties, click the Security tab and click on advanced and then click the owner tab.  Click on edit, and then click the name of the person you want to give to the property (you may need to add if it is not there--or maybe yourself). If you want that it applies to subfolders and files in this folder/drive, then check the box to replace the owner of subcontainers and objects, and click OK.  Back and now there is a new owner for files and folders/player who can change the required permissions.  Here is more information on the ownership of a file or a folder: http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/67717-take-ownership-file.html.  To add take ownership in the menu of the right click (which will make it faster to get once it is configured), see the following article: http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/add-take-ownership-to-explorer-right-click-menu-in-vista/.

    Good luck and I hope this helps!

  • All records have selected read-only option, and I am unable to remove it.

    I have recently reinstalled Windows 7, without touching the drive was in my data. All data is intact, but for all delete them and move the action, it seems to be asking permission from the Admin. In addition, another major problem, that I have been facing is that all records are in read-only mode, and no matter how many times I change, they simply revert to the original read-only mode. I have attached a few screenshots showing the process. Is it possible to fix this? I also copied the content into new folders I created recently, but they still have the same read only selected option. (http://imgur.com/a/r3VOB#0)

    The read-only check box is always blue filled.

    If I use the JSF HTML component like * < h:selectBooleanCheckbox value = "#{rank." Eligible == 'Y '?     Hi Prasad,

    You don't mention that you use for your model layer; the easiest way to proceed is to expose a Boolean attribute on your model layer and link box to the. If you use ADF business components, just to create a transitional attribute and create a getter for her in the java class that will return true or false, depending on the value of "eligible" in the same way, create a Set accessor, which sets the 'eligible' O/N according to if true/false is passed.

  • How to validate that a single check box is checked in detail block

    Hi all

    I am using oracle 10 G on windows forms.

    I need help on how to validate that a single checkbox is checked in the retail block. I have multiple records in the block of detail and I have checkboxes for each record in the detail block.

    I have a button to select values in the detail records where the check box is checked. But I want to make sure that only one record is not more than one check.

    How to validate this on a shutter release button?

    Thank you

    When I did this sort of thing, I create a variable of TYPE number form level and then add or subtract the variable I to check and uncheck the boxes. If the value of the variable is 1, then you know that only check box is selected. If the value is greater than 1, then you know that the user has selected more than one checkbox. You could also add the code to your trigger when-box-changed to test the variable and tell the user to uncheck selected record before selecing a new record.

    Regarding the variable level of form, you can use a GLOBAL package specification, PARAMETER or program unit. I prefer to use the specification of CENTRAL unit package, because this method has a smaller memory footprint. For example, in the node of the unity of the object browser program create the following:

    /* Form variables package spec */
    PACKAGE Form_Vars IS
      CheckBox_Cnt     NUMBER := 0;
    END;

    Now in your trigger when-box-change...

    BEGIN
       IF ( Form_Vars.CheckBox_Cnt = 0 ) THEN
          Form_Vars.CheckBox_Cnt  := Form_Vars.CheckBox_Cnt  + 1;
       ELSE
          /* it's assumed the value is greater than 0 */
          Message('Please uncheck selec ted record before choosing a new record.');
          RAISE Form_Trigger_Failure;
       END IF;
    END;

    Hope this helps,

  • Impossible to turn off read-only - and I already checked the Security tab

    Hello, I use Vista Ultimate.  I'm on my home computer and have full administrative rights.  Have a big problem trying to get the recovery off the power on a personal folder read-only.  It is NOT a folder on a network or is a system folder.  When I go in the folder and click on the Security tab, ALL users have full right to make any changes.    No error displayed whenever I then deselect read only on the general tab, click on or .  But when I re - open the folder and check the properties, read-only is still active.  It's driving me crazy.  HELP!?!?!?!

    And Yes, I tried this:

    "To view or to remove the read-only or the attributes of system files in Windows Vista

    1. Click on start, run, type cmd and press ENTER...
    2. To view the syntax for the Attrib command, Type attrib------? at the command prompt.

    To remove the read-only attribute and to set the system attribute, use the following command:

    attrib - r + s drive:------------

    For example, to remove the read-only attribute and set the attribute to system for the C:\Test folder, use the following command:

    attrib - r + s c:\test

    Be aware that some programs may not operate correctly with folders for which the read-only attribute and the system attribute are granted. Therefore, use the following command to remove these attributes:

    attrib - r s by car:------------

    For example, to remove both the read-only and the attributes to system for the C:\Test folder, use the following command:

    attrib - r-s c:\test

    If the run command is not listed in the start menu, follow these steps:

    Click Start, click principally made programs, accessories, and then click Run."

    And get an error that says: parameter Incorrect Format.

    Have you checked to see if the files in the folder are effectively read-only or if the only problem is that the file is checked in read-only?

    You may need to go higher in the chain of record because some properties are inherited (see advanced security of the folder until you come to one where the special permissions list including all permissions that are inherited for administrators or your user account). It does not stick because you don't have the permissions and/or ownership to allow you to make the change.  You must have permissions to full right for all folders (both on the main page and in the special permissions list) and you will have to take possession of the records as well.  Then change the ownership and permissions for yourself and administrators and don't forget to check the box for all files and subdirectories.  This should give you what you need to make the changes.  Here is some information that might help.

    To view your permissions, right-click on the file/folder, click Properties, and check the Security tab.  Check the permissions you have by clicking on your user name (or group of users).  Here are the types of permissions, you may have:http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-vista/What-are-permissions.  You must be an administrator or owner to change the permissions (and sometimes, being an administrator or even an owner is not sufficient - there are ways to block access (even if a smart administrator knows these ways and can move them - but usually should not because they did not have access, usually for a very good reason).)  Here's how to change the permissions of folder under Vista:http://www.online-tech-tips.com/windows-vista/set-file-folder-permissions-vista/. To add take and the issuance of right of permissions and ownership in the right click menu (which will make it faster to get once it is configured), see the following article:http://www.mydigitallife.info/2009/05/21/take-and-grant-full-control-permissions-and-ownership-in-windows-7-or-vista-right-click-menu/.

    To solve this problem with folders, folders takeownership or the reader (as an administrator) and give you all the rights. Here is more information on the ownership of a file or a folder:http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/67717-take-ownership-file.html. To add take ownership in the menu of the right click (which will make it faster to get once it is configured), see the following article:http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/add-take-ownership-to-explorer-right-click-menu-in-vista/.

    I hope this helps.
