  Uninstall Acrobat Reader DC using tool cleaning Download Adobe Reader and Acrobat tool - Adobe Labs

  Then install Reader using this link: Adobe - Adobe Acrobat Reader DC Distribution and check if it solves your problem.

  Charlie Miller has discovered a vulnerability [criticism] in Adobe Reader / Acrobat, which can be exploited by malicious people to compromise a user's system.

  Vulnerability is due to an integer overflow error in CoolType.dll during the analysis of the value of the 'maxCompositePoints' field in table 'maxp' (profile Maximum) of a TrueType font. This can be exploited to memory corrupted via a PDF file containing a specially designed TrueType font.

  Successful exploitation may allow execution of arbitrary code.

  The vulnerability is confirmed in Adobe Reader versions 8.2.3 and 9.3.3 and Adobe Acrobat version 9.3.3. Other versions may also be affected.

  Solution
  Do not open untrusted PDF files.

  I'm really sorry that you have had a bad experience with the new Acrobat DC application.

  If you uninstall any application (not only Acrobat DC IOS) iOS, iOS will erase all data in associated app, including your PDF documents.  If you have a full backup of your iPad before the Acrobat DC update, you should be able to restore it and turn off the automatic update of the applications.

  You mentioned "two years for a value of documents".  You remember the total size of the documents?  We heard other users they experienced the same or similar accident and had more than 1.5 GB of PDF documents that are stored locally on the iPad.

  Why doesn't DC Reader/Acrobat to open LiveCycle Forms produce mobile (iPad version) and is there an intention any to remedy this major omission? It seems incredible that the reader cannot open a document PDF produced by one of own Adobe products, especially when the Mac version of office the player can perform this task.  Also, I have Acrobat Pro XI but seem not to be able to use it to convert the LiveCycle document a version of the portable player capable of handling. All your comments/opinions would be appreciated.

  There is no application called Acrobat Reader Pro.

  Seems you have confused between the names of the application.

  We have Adobe Acrobat Reader DC that is a free application to view PDF Acrobat Reader DC Learn & Support files

  Then we have

  (1) acrobat Pro DC (i.e. perpetual requires a serial key to activate) Download Adobe Acrobat products. Standard, Pro | DC, XI, X to edit PDF files.

  (2) acrobat Pro DC (subscription IE is enabled using Adobe ID) Acrobat DC subscription | Download and install to edit PDF files.

  Now, choose the right product to install & use.

  Working under Windows 7. This problem just started in the last days. I can compare short (1-2) documents pages, but longer ~ 30 page documents to cause Acrobat to crash. I checked and installed an update, then ran "fix" on my installation, always crashing.

  1. run "Auto tag"Document"under 'Accessibility' on the two documents.

  2. now run compare on these documents.

  Acrobat CC is NOT open, not launched.

  In general, I am able to reproduce this error by opening an Explorer window or opening a file (ex..) XLS, doc, etc.).  After you select the file and the preview begins to present, error acrobat appears with something to the effect "DC Acrobat has stopped working windows is checking for a solution... »

  After that it throws the error more nothing happens.  Occurs again when you close the Explorer window.

  Suggest mistake lies in preview subsystem/integrate acrobat with windows Explorer.  Another wonderful artifact of Agile development.  Forcing users to put up with the incomplete software.

  If you install it for the first time, it does not require a reboot. But if you repair the installation, it will require a reboot.

  Some quarterly updates require reboot. It also depends on when was the last time you rebooted the machine for the changes to apply.
