Readers of personal media and Pocket for HP Pavilion M9351

Computer on August 2008, provided operating Vista Home Edition (x 64), now set at level to Vista Enterprise.  Now, I want to buy a staff or Pocket Media Drive (or perhaps both).  Attempted to get the numbers correct reference required for each Bay, however, HP will not provide me with all the information that I'm no longer in warranty and they say they will provide "support rendered.

I searched through PDF of computer information and troubleshooting paper, but actual part numbers not provided - only operation of the readers discussed.

As the M9351 is now replaced I want to be sure that I buy the correct drive for my computer, Vista-compatible.  Are listed often say they work with HP laptops.  Others listed say they operate with pavilions under XP.  None say they are actually compatible with Vista running of mine (m9351).

It seems that the personal media player is not currently available in the United Kingdom, but handheld readers are.  I understand that both drives are available in the States of the DFU for example.  If I have good part No. I guess they will work ok?

Does anyone use media on a m9351 readers please?  Can you advise me of their correct reference numbers and if you do work with Vista?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!  Thank you.

Readers of personal media and handheld readers come in different capacities. There is no limitation in the use for your OS. Here is a URL to the United States, http://www.shopping.hp.com/can/computer/categories/storage_solutions/1/accessories

  • HP Pavilion 23bw: Windows 10 drivers and software for HP Pavilion 23bw

    Good afternoon;

My problem: I used my HP Pavilion 23bw Fortunately, display for the past 18 months or so. The original software includes an application that allows to adjust the display to personal taste or to preset stations. Very well.

Recently, I decided that I had to be more risky in my choice and mode of life. I gave up condoms, refusing to wear a seat belt and installed 10 windows...

It went pretty well... which is, I only had to reinstall all my firewall exceptions McAfee that I needed for the games and browsing the interweb and install the latest drivers for multiple devices. I'm still waiting for Samsung release their driver Windows 10 for their SSD.

Oh, and the HP software for the display disappeared. > Poof When I got to the HP support for the latest drivers and software, I received this message: no software or drivers are available for this product with the selected operating system. Please make a different selection, or visit the product home page.

To be clear, the continuous 23bw to work fine, except that I can adjust is no longer the display through HP software, and while said Device Manager works correctly, it does not show install asked right after the installation of Windows 10.

    Along with; Camera DISPLAY\HWP304B\5 & 27527e7e & 0 & UID4353 requires new installation.
and: driver management concluded the process to install the driver hp_23bw_win8.inf_amd64_f35a2af5beb87993\hp_23bw_win8.inf for the Instance ID of device DISPLAY\HWP304B\5 & 27527E7E & 0 & UID4353 with the following status: 0 x 0

and even if the correct driver is installed, I lost the software.

    My system:

    SSD Pro 840 Samsung

Card mother Gigabyte GA-880GA-UD3H (Rev. 3.1)

AMD Phenom II X 4 955 BE processor 3.20 GHz

MSI NVidia GE Force GTX 960 Graphics Card

    Apevia Iceberg 680W power

HP Pavlion 23bw IPS LED Display

    64 - Bit Windows 10 OS

    So my questions are, of course;

    1. Is there a work around?
    2. Your technicians are furiously working on the software and the updated drivers?
    3. If they are, is there an expected release date?

I hope hear from HP with a solution or a resolution to come and enjoy any time you spend on my problem.

    Hello-

While the HPSA is a nice utility, I am happy to have now, he could not find updates, that the pilots had already been refilled.

What was missing was the "My Display" software. I went to HP Support, software and downloads the driver, which detected my Windows 10 and said "nothing for you here '.

I then clicked on "edit" for the operating system and selected Windows 7 in the Menu dΘroulant.

The Web site bought and gave me a drivers and several utilities.

In utilities, I found 'My view' software, downloaded, installed, him and all is right with the world.

Looks like that could be fixed with a little tweaking.

    Thanks again,

  • HP pavilion dv7 1260us: upgrade memory and processor for hp pavilion dv7 1260us

I was wondering if possible to upgrade my memory and processor... hp pavilion dv7 1260us?

    Here are the specs:

    Plug

You have an AMD Turion RM-74 processor and 4 GB of RAM. The RAM is DDR2 and it may take 8 GB of DDR2, but that the memory of any reputable vendor is crazy expensive, like $150 ++ for 2 x 4 gig modules.

    Here is the Service Manual:

    Manual

The top of the page compatible processor is an AMD Turion™ Ultra Dual-Core 35W ZM-86 2.40 GHz with 2 MB of L2 cache

If you want to go from 2.2 ghz to 1 meg to 2.4 ghz with 2 MB of L2 cache L2 cache, may be a treatment of 20% energy improvement. Not enough, IMO, to justify the difficulty because it is still not in the ballpark of machines of today.

You can buy the processor from a dealer renowned for $15 with free shipping. That should tell you what the demand is for her. Basically obsolete.

    http://www.eBay.com/ITM/AMD-Turion-X2-ultra-dual-core-Zm-86-2-4GHz-dual-core-Laptop-CPU-TMZM86DAM23GG-/401122492329?hash=item5d64c37fa9:g:KMsAAOSwZetXO2Wh

I replaced motherboards in several series dv7-1000, and it is one of the harder to take apart laptops. Many cables in strange tablecloth and Remora in all directions.

We are ready to help in any way possible with the upgrade, but in this case probably the best advice that I can give you is "don't".

  • Question Capatibility of SSD and size for "HP Pavilion dv7 - 4283cl Entertainment PC" laptop

    Hello

I get a SMART error for my HARD drive and on further analysis, it seems to be of type 'Error of END to END'. Research shows that there is no other choice than to get a new hard drive.

My hard drive is currently 640 MB. I was thinking of doing a 512 MB SSD - specifically:
    http://www.Newegg.com/product/product.aspx?item=N82E16820147194

Before buying, I came across the following excerpt manual from HP on my laptop:

    Double hard drive configurations:
    2 TB (1 TB 5400 RPM × 2)
    1500 GB (× 2 750 - GB, 5400 RPM)
    1280 GB (640 GB, 5400 RPM × 2)
    1000 GB (500 GB, 7200 RPM × 2)
    640 GB (320 GB, 7200 RPM × 2)
    500 GB (250 GB, 7200 RPM × 2)
    SSD 160 GB + 500 GB, 7200 RPM

    Hard drive configurations:
    1 TB, 5400 RPM, 12.5 mm
    750 GB, 5400 RPM, 12.5 mm
    640 GB, 5400 RPM, 9.5 mm
    500 GB, 7200 RPM, 9.5 mm
    320 GB, 7200 RPM, 9.5 mm
    250 GB, 7200 RPM, 9.5 mm
    160 GB, SSD

This is still true. (I think maybe that the manual was conducted before SSD expansion was widely available)

    -Roman

Yes it's not a fair compatibility list a menu of what offered the HP. 512 SSD is still a bit expensive for a lot of people, but if you can afford it, you can be assured that it works perfectly on your laptop. Of course, you want to use in the primary as boot drive Bay to enjoy the performance of the SSD. Enjoy. The Pro 840 is widely regarded as the best SSD you can buy.

  • Video and processor for a pavilion of m8187c upgrade?

I have a pavilion of m8187c and I would like to to level the CPU card and video.

Right now I have an Intel duo 6750 and Nvidia 8500gt.

Does anyone know the CPU the faster I can get away with in this computer?

Also, how on the video card, I want to get the Nvidia XFX GeForce 9800 GTX, would - this work or even fit?

    Thanks for any help.

For EXAMPLE, here is a link to the "Product information" pages for your computer:

    http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/wc/prodinfoCategory?LC=en&DLC=en&cc=us&lang=en&product=3461915

If you open the link on the page entitled "Characteristics of the motherboard", that's what you'll see:

    CPU/processor

    • Socket: 775
    • Compatible with the following processors:
      • Intel Core 2 Quad Q6xx0 Quad Core technology
      • Core 2 Duo E6x00
      • Core 2 Duo E4x00

You can install the CPU the fastest there is on this list.  They should all work, as long as, the power is identical to the original.

Now for the video card.  I like your choice of cards.  I was actually looking at the same map myself.  It's too long for my rig, however.  I was emailing back with XFX technicians for several days.  I think that it is 10 "long.  Here is a link to the XFX site compare different 9800GTX cards:

    http://www.xfxforce.com/en-us/ShoppingTools/ProductComparison.aspx

They are 10 '' long as I said.  You need to open the case and measure your existing card; including the power connector.  In addition, the remaining distance to the nearest obstacle.

You may need to change your current diet, also.  The 9800GTX takes power connectors '2 6-pin.  You can check out while you're in the case to see if there is an additional connector 6 pin.  It can be hidden in a one out of place in the case.  As a result, search every single hole.  The Tech told me not to use the adapters provided with some cards use molex connectors.  It is only for temporary situations; not for permanent use.

I have a 600W power OCZ GamerXtream and there are 2 connectors.

    I hope this helps.

  • Capacity of memory and Type for my Pavilion laptop

    Hi guys,.

I have a Pavilion dv6t-1000 laptop, purchased in 2009.  Its product page does not specify how many (and what type) memory it can hold.  Crucial memory Advisor suggests 2 x 4 GB, but other sources suggest 2x2gb or even 3x2Go.  Someone know how to look this and remember?

Furthermore, I'm not an expert on all the terminology describing differences in features in the memory modules.  I am looking to buy some things named parties as "204 pin DDR3 SO - DIMM DDR3 1333 mhz (PC3-10600)".  I have a vague feeling that the 1333 mhz and 10600 represent speeds, but the default components appear to be "PC2-6400, 800 mhz DDR2.  I have a problem of compatibility between these new parts to buy?

    Thank you very much

    Steve

    Hello

Because it's a CTO machine then only you know. If your computer is running 64-bit OS, you can use the critical recommendation:

    http://www.crucial.com/upgrade/HP+-+Compaq-memory/Pavilion+DV6+series/Pavilion+dv6t+series+%28DDR2%29-upgrades.html

DDR3 RAM MADE to DDR2 slots physically so you cannot use of DDR3 RAM. But first, please use the following program called CPU - Z to check the type of your machine RAM and post return:

I have two bays full which could be used and I check to see what offers the others.

    Hello

I have the same firm with my e9280t.  What are the two bays you interested in help?  Just the media bays?

    1. Optical Bay - a 3.5 "HD with a hook or two 2.5" HDs with support of
    2. "" HDD Bay - two 3.5 "HDs or 4 HDs 2.5" or 3.5 1 "and two 2.5" HDs using media adapters
    3. Pocket media Bay - you might be able to pass a hard 2.5 "or 3.5" drive in this Bay after the removal of some cables etc.
    4. Bay of personal media - you can drag vaguely in both 2.5 "HDs on a single medium" or a HD 3.5.  It might be possible to align a disk 3.5 "will work at least one screw. A power and a USB connector should be disconnected.

The motherboard in your PC has 6 sata which is enough to add more devices sata ports.

You can remove the side panel and front cover for inspection. ' HP ' how-to ' articles should be useful.

  • HP Personal Media Drive and Win 7

I just upgraded my HP computer elite e9120y from vista to windows 7. Everything went well until I tried to use the personal media player in the Bay of the computer.  The computer recognizes the drive and installed the driver.  The player will start to work, but after about 30 seconds, it freezes.  The power light is still on, but it is no longer read or write data. Using the computer increases by about 10% to 70% and stays there. After the hunt, the use is the same, in the Task Manager, nothing is shown that the use of the CPU.  Before the upgrade, the drive worked fine with any of these problems.  I tried to uninstall the USB ports and restart to have reinstalled them, also tried to remove the drive from the computer and reinstall the readers. I still have the same problem.  It will work for awhile, then freezing, uses CPU jumps.          If I try the drive with the external power supply and another USB port, it works normally. Can anyone help?   Thank you

If you use the software that came with the driver (it might come through via the upgrade?), try to uninstall or disable and simply let Windows 7 use as Plug-and-Play. If I look at HP shopping it does not list the PMD as being compatible with Windows 7, but to me it would just be the software on the CD-ROM supplied with the player. Not the plug-and-play hardware.

If it's not that, and it's hardware related... the Bay is a big USB plug that connects to the USB headers on the mobo. For me, it tells me that something funky is listed at this place of specific header. Normally, I'd just use system restore to go back when it worked good... in this case, which might be ways to recover and upgrade again without any USB device attached... not funny.

You can try to disconnect the internal cable from the drive to the mobo Bay, restart, connect with the external cable, safely remove, close, reconnect the internal cable to the mobo header, insert the drive into the Bay, turning on.
