Reading not systematically hiding on the first slide bar

Hello

Another issue/question - I seem to have a large number of them suddenly.

I build a project with a series of video slides where I want to use the playback bar as a means of uses to turn early, legends, etc. on video slideshow and break.  But I don't want the play bar on the first slide, which is just a simple swipe of welcome or any of the other non-video blades.  I thought it was an easy thing to do by setting "Hide bar reading" action entering the slide.  I thought that was working fine, but now I noticed that when I test the project, using the game in Web browser option or actually publish the site, the PlayBar appears at least half the time.  If I just refresh the browser it disappears... sometimes.  Sometimes, if it does not and if I hit refresh, it pops up so...  I put the project on a server and played from a different computer (a PC, because I'm on a Mac) and I get the same behavior always incompatible.  The playback bar hide work regularly in other slides a simple action or as part of a tip or shared action.

I don't remember if this happened on earlier versions of the project, but it may well have been because I wasn't really looking for it.  I have nothing particularly advanced past in that the first slide and the only thing I could think was 'different', that an average project was that I used the widget CPGuru OCD, but I took on the first slide just to check, and that doesn't seem to change the question.  Does anyone have an idea, what could be the cause so I can get him to stop?

I understand a cludge which seems to work, but don't really want to use it.  Basically, I duplicate the slide, remove the break of all elements (in this case a box single click) and then reduce the duration of all the elements and the slide itself juste.1 second - so I basically start the project with a duplicate version of .1second of the first slide that runs immediately in the 'real' first slide.  In this way, it seems that if she fails to close the IPL when he effectively reload this slide it hides the PlayBar so that the user sees only a small Flash.

Any help in debugging this I can avoid the cludge is greatly appreciated.

System:

Mac Pro runs the Mavericks

Captivate 7.0.1.237

Flash Player 10 selected in the editing preferences

Sometimes, depends on several factors, advanced by the first on enter (or simple) action has a slight delay and that's what I think. Was the same in all versions. The only solution is to avoid action on enter on the first slide, to add a short slide you did and trigger the action at the beginning of the second slide.

I have a problem in some of the projects where she will start on the second slide when released instead of the first slide. What are some settings I check to fix this?

In my experience, it is never a good idea to place anything on the first slide of the movie because sometimes these things get skipped.  Always start the elements of the screen on the second slide.  Keep the first blank slide and make lasting 2-3 seconds.  In this way, preload may attempt to ensure that all the bits necessary to start the 2 slide are aboard, before its opening.

Another question, can you do to avoid problems at the start time is NOT placing a video heavy of introduction on the first two slides.  It's just ASKING for trouble.

  • When I include a Table of contents in my project and get an overview of the project, it always starts with a blank slide that contains an arrow to 'start '. That's fine, but I really want to start with the first slide in the deck. How to change that?

The Captivate TOC suggests that the first slide must be 'System Basics title Page'. But instead, I get the screen below. You must click on the arrow to start the course. Not terrible, but I'd rather just start with my first slide. Ideas?

If this isn't HTML, you will have to leave checked AutoPlay. Normally SWF-output supports automatic playback. Check the preview in the browser instead of draft Preview.

  • Hold the first slide until

    Captivate v4

I need to be able to open a project on slide 1, but as soon as the blade is open should not run and wait until I have clciked and 'invisible' area to launch the project in the slide.

Because I want to use the first slide as "intro", while the spectators are get sorted and once they are ready, I can start the project.

I tried to add a box to click initially, but appears not to brake the slide as soon as it starts.

Can someone help me please - I'm sure it's something simple, but just escapes me.

    Noel

Noel, another option, you may think is just to deselect the auto play option in the preferences of Project Start and End.  This will give you a button on the first slide you have to click to start.  Only problem is, you cannot change the position or appearance of this button, and slide behind it will probably be a bit blurred.  Just a thought.

  • How to get an overview of Captivate 4 to begin with the first slide to look at a second?

I created a slide show-125 in Captivate 4. Some slides are in short (1 s <) video capture, but most of them are simple slides with audio narration.

The presentation plays very well the first time that somebody is watching. Then, on the viewings, the presentation (that they are placed in the context of the html file or by opening the .swf directly) jumps to the position it was in during the previous display. Seen online, people notice a slight delay, so that it plays the first half second of the first slide, then jumps. For people who watched the video completely through, the presentation seems to spend the first half of the second ('welcome... ") to the last slide ("Thank you for watching,"etc.). This proved confusing for our customers.

Is there a way to get the presentation to forget that this timestamp and just start from the beginning each time someone opens? I looked in Edit > Preferences and the help documentation and have found no setting for it.

As stated in the FAQ, I'll try to break the presentation into three smaller, then string those together. However, I would be surprised if this has solved the problem, given that the presentation does not seem to suffer from amnesia, but rather too good a memory.

  • How to remove the bar at the bottom of the first slide?

Hello, I have a thin dark grey bar which crosses the bottom of my first slide (like a windows taskbar). It is only on the first slide, and that's on top of my background image. I assumed it was something to do with a game bar, but I removed the playback controls in the skin Editor.

However, this bar is always on the first slide.

I have no idea what it's called or how to get rid of.

    Thank you in advance.

    I found the problem.

The theme that puts bar here. (I thought that I had started with a blank slide)

Although photoshop cs5 will not open files Sony RX100M3 camera raw, you can use the adobe dng converter to convert them to dng best, which photoshop cs5 should then open.

Regarding photoshop cs6, Yes, it will open these files with the 9.1.1 update to the camera raw plugin, but I would consider the plan of creative photography of cloud

instead of buy photoshop cs6, since adobe very probably won't be updated photoshop cs6 more including the new cameras camera raw plugin.

  • How to limit the first slide to play?

Could someone tell me please how to limit my first slide to play again. My app opens web pages specified with a click of a button. When I use the back button on my phone to close the web page, it goes back to the intro slide and it plays again. I like the back button to bring the user support to the last page visited, but I don't know how to do this. Help, please.

Can you explain better? You ask "to last visited page/slide" but since the beginning of your question, I realized that this is the first slide? What do you really want?

  • Import the background music for the first slide

I imported a background music, but I need only for the first slide. It should be an introdcutory with music background and recorded spoken text flashfilm.

How can I limit background music to the first (and last) slide only?

    Thank you, Miriam

    Hello

Rather than import the background sound try importing audio to the slide. If you are using Captivate 4 or 5, you will then have an option for audio looping. This will allow you to have the loop on any number of individual slides. In your case, the first, and last slides.

  • Automatic indexing does not as soon as the first element of the array.

    Hello

I have a state machine that uses automatic indexing in most of his State to write the registry to set the part for some test.  When the state machine reaches the section 'Now playing' (the fourth State, second battery sequence) I have a picture of two equal elements related to looping for to write the required registers for this specific test.  When I enter the current state read the the first address is the second element of the array which is '1' location and not the first address that must be '0 '.  I closed the program and restarted LabVIEW but I always get the second element in this loop that maintain the form part works correctly and I get an error because the first element turns on the chip.  Is there something I'm not see when it comes to self that he would keep from starting at the first element of indexing?  Please take a look and let me know what I can do wrong.  I have attached the main program and the print loop results screens and test probe.  Any help will be great.  It worked last week.

I don't see no problem at all when I copy the loop in an another VI in order to run it. Your jpg shows nothing on the values of the probe.

  • Could not import all of the PowerPoint slides

I created a PPT presentation with 117 slides I want to import into Captivate 3. However, whenever I try to import slides PPT in Captivate file, I see that Captivate detects the first 77 slides of the presentation (40 slides are still missing). I tried to cut the PPT file into several smaller files and import each of these files separately, but whenever I get to the 77th slide, Captivate cannot import slides more (when I go to file > import > PowerPoint slides... and select the desired PPT file, it shows only a blank slide even if the PPT file in question has several slides in there).

How can I get Captivate to detect all 117 slides of my PPT presentation?

I found the answer: in the pane left of your PPT presentation, when you click on 'Preview', you can see that each slide has its own name. most of the slides have no names at all (the space next to them is just empty), however some slides are named after a specific text box, that you can find on the slide itself. It turns out the slides that Captivate has not detected that all had exactly the same name (as you might see in the section overview in the left of your presentation as pane described above). I simply deleted the names in order to could be "no-name" slides as all other slides in the presentation. It also automatically removed from the text box related on those slides, but I simply replaced those with the standard toolbar text boxes.

Summary: All the slides have different names (or blank) as seen from the Plan of your presentation for Captivate tab import correctly.
