• Sharing data between the host computer stores in different groups.

  I read in several places that sharing of data warehouses between the host in different groups is possible, but I don't get the warm and fuzzies when the hosts are different versions.

  vCenter is 4.1

  Group Alpha is 4.0 vmfs 3.33

  Bravo of cluster is 4.1 vmfs 3.46

  My goal is to move the virtual machines that meet the specific criteria of group Alpha for Cluster Bravo then the availability of flowing freely between clusters.

  The only concern I have is when adding Cluster Bravo to the same host of 3PAR alpha value of Cluster sharing all the data store, Cluster Bravo will try to reformat to vmfs 3.46 break Cluster Alpha to see the virtual machines stored in the warehouses of shared data?  I don't want to present the old warehouses of data to the new cluster only break from old cluster.

  ESX/ESXi 4.X supports all versions of VMFS file system.

  Using your example of Alpha and Bravo. Kudos to will write more Alpha. you will be able to cross all hosts on the shared storage.

• Transmission of data to the host of RT to the FPGA via DMA FIFO

  I try to write data from a host of RT on target FPGA using DMA FIFO and then process these data and read then return of the FPGA target to the host of the CR through an another DMA FIFO. I'm working on the NI SMU chassis 1062 q, with the built-in NI SMU-8130 RT controller and target FPGA NI SMU-7965R.

  The problem I face is that I want to send three different tables, two of the same size and the third with different size, and I need one more small to be sent first to the FPGA. I tried to use encode dish with two executives in the FPGA VI. In the first image, I read and write the first table in a while loop which is finite (that is, a finite number of iterations). The second frame contains the process of reading and writing the second two tables (of the same size) in a while loop that can be finite or infinite (depending on a control). The problem is that it does not work. 2 arrays are displayed on the front panel of the RT VI host and works well, however, the table that should have been read in the first sequence does not appear on the front panel of the RT VI host. It is not sensible because if it is not passed from the host to the fpga and vice versa then the second image should not have been executed. Note that I'm wiring (-1) for the time-out period to block the while loop iterations until the passage of each item is completed. So the first while loop has only 3 iterations. Could someone help me undersdtand why this happens and how to fix this?

  If you vote for my idea here and it is implemented, you can even omit the loop FOR fully.

  (I also propose the RE / IM divided inside the loop FOR and perform operations on complex table before the loop the transpose and reshape .) In this way, you only need one instance of these operations. You might even save some unnecessary allocations table in this way)

• When you add the data to the host of the second store it wants to format storage

  I have two hosts ESXi 5.5, one is the main host who currently runs the set of virtual machine from this data store. I would add the data store to the host, but to do so is greyed out on the new server, and he wants I want to format the data store.

  What type of shared storage using you, and you haven't set up the presentation of the logic unit number for the second host in the same way that you did for the first host? Do you manage the host with vCenter Server, or if you use two autonomous host computers?

• Struggling with how to properly develop this display of data of the host/VI

  Hello! I hope that someone can send me in the right direction on this. I mocked upward a Panel before the way I intend it to look - a blade of filling, overlapping a waveform graph, to give the effect of a visible present value and a trace of the short story. The idea is of a large number of these kinds of indicators on a display for a bench trial-computing engine allows both simple visualization of a lot of data, and I am replacing an old system for the acquisition of data with a similar screen.

  My question is how to take these indicators (which work roughly as I want) and duplicate the code 30 times without making a huge mess. I looked in the sub-panels, but it seemed that it was also a complicated thing to do thirty times. Maybe it will just be messy, but I hope that there is some good/easy way to do this.

  Make a custom control seemed to be an option, but I couldn't figure out how to make the custom control to contain the table of waveform and the slide filling - and then after that, how to make the colors replacing in alarm as I already have.

  I ask before I spend a lot of time on this in case I have to start over!

  If you think you might be able to help you, please have a look at the attached VI with six of these things already cloned and let me know your idea. I really appreciate it.

  First of all, it's a UI element user very neat looking that you offer here!

  To be honest, I think that the best way to solve this problem would be to create an XControl for your UI element. This is quite a complicated process if you have not created one before, but if you're looking for an XControl to create there are plenty of resources available.

  If this seems a bit too involved/advanced, your idea to employ the sub-panels is probably the best solution - create a VI that shows data and however is a lot, you need view data and load the VI in the secondary. You must of course (a range of works of good secondary references for it) doing asynchronous calls and manage references VI etc..

  The key is you want to create your combo chart/slide only once and then repeat if necessary - either by an XControl or a reentrant VI loaded in a secondary school.

• How to make a shared variable, which is an update on the host channel?

  I'm relatively new to LabVIEW, so I apologize in advance.  I'm working on a vision for research application and I'm trying to convey an image of the smart camera target to the host.  I flattened the IMAQ image to a string and pass the string to a shared variable.  On the end of the host, I unflatten image and try to post to see if I don't really get the image data on the host.  However, it only displays the first image and after that the image is not updated.  In addition, the shared variable itself is not up-to-date.  I have a loop timed on the target and a loop of simulation on the host.  Help or direction would be appreciated.

  I thought about it and will post here just in case it might help someone else.  For some reason, the IMAQ flatten channel gives a format that did not like the unflatten of the chain.  When I have no flat chain, it didn't recognize it as an image.  Instead, I just used the generic flatten the string on the target and then block when I have not flattened image on the host computer, I had to only give the guy I got to report the allocation of memory IMAQ.  Maybe I'm just slow, but if this helps someone else, fine.  Thanks again.

• Remove emctl blackout/target for the host that no longer exists

  I have a power outage set via emctl command line for a host. The host was then taken out of service until it could be removed from EM. Now, I can not remove the failure or target EM as the power failure has been fixed through emctl. I can't access emctl to end because the server was decommisioned. What should I do to remove the target?

  As you have decommissioned the host already guess that historical control data to the host and its monitored databases are no longer required.

  In this case, you can cleanup the agent to the repository which will also clean up the host and control objectives information completely and permanently.

  10G we can do this by connecting to the repository as SYSMAN,

  I have trouble creating my DRS cluster + storage of DRS, I have 3 hosts esxi 5.1 for the task

  First, I created the cluster, no problem with that, so the DRS storage was created and now I can see in the Summary tab

  "The number of heartbeat for the host data warehouses is 0, which is less than required: 2".

  I search the Web and there are similar problems when people has only a single data store (the one that came with ESXi) and need to add another but in my case... vcenter detects any...

  In the views of storage I see the store of data (VMFS) but for some strange reason the cluster not

  In order to achieve data warehouses minimum (2) can I create an NFS and map it in THE 3 esxi hosts? Vcenter which consider a play config?

  You probably only have local data warehouses, which are not that HA would require for this feature (pulsations datastore) to work properly.

  You will need either 2 iSCSI, FC 2 or 2 NFS volumes... Or a combination of the any of them, for this feature to work. If you don't want to use this feature, you can also turn it off:

• Script to list all the warehouses of data in a cluster, the virtual machines on the data store and the host of the virtual machine is on

  We have warehouses of data which are seen by more than one cluster. I need a script that will display:

  all stores of data seen by a cluster

  the virtual machines on the data store

  the host of the virtual machine is on

  the cluster the host is in

  The output I want is

  name of the store of data, the VM name, host name, the name of the Cluster

  any help would be appreciated

  Tried a lot of things so far...

  -Recreate the target and starting from scratch

  -recreate the cluster from scratch

  -Restart the storage

  -Restart the hosts (I think that I did in all cases)

  I have a few instant volumes presented to an ESXi host, I want a script that will automatically appoint those and add them to the host. It could be a volume - it's maybe ten. I understand the mapping of storage to the host OK unit, but I have a problem with VMware. There is a chance that these data stores could be seen by the original host - so I have to will them.

  Once data warehouses are mounted, I want to find two machines in data warehouses and enter them in vCenter.

  Someone at - it something that they could share?

  We are automating the process of adding data to the esx host store. We have all the necessary inputs as a host, Cluster, data center, data store name, store (VMFS) Pat data.

  Do we have the cmdlets to get the result? What is the data store should be added after the configuration of the network?

  We need confirm that the data store must be there in vcenter/Cluster?

  Please help explain the process.

  If the LUNS on which these data warehouses are defined are zoned and correctly configured as a shared, they become automatically visible on the ESXi node.

  Do you see the LUN on different nodes of ESXi under storage adapters?

• Can't do multiple hosts access to the data of the other local host store

  I'm faced with a problem I have no idea how I can solve it. I have a cluster of ESXi 5.1.0 799733 with 3 guests and a shared iSCSI storage. I do vMotion well, as my VM files are stored in the storage. These 3 hosts are managed my vCenter 5.1.0.5300 build 947940.

  Now, I would have a few virtual machines on the local storage of the host cause some performance issues, and so I would like to make Storage vMotion. In addition, Storage vMotion is allowed to my cluster.

  I know that each host needs to access the storage time origin and target to make Storage vMotion. I also know that 5 VMFS is a cluster file system.  Search this documentation [1], it says that I must use in the web client of vSphere (I prefer to use vSphere client), the data store and click the "mount a store of data to some hosts. But there is no icon!

  I also tried clicking 'Add storage' on vSphere Client GUI, by selecting "VMFS", without success.

  Attached to this post is my cluster infrastructure. The DS_LOCAL_ * are storehouses of data space and DS_SAN_ * are SAN datastore.

  Where mess me things up? Help, tip or documentation pointing will be nice.

  You can not access local data warehouses of other armies. However, with vSphere VMware 5.1 introduced a new VMotion feature, which allows you to migrate virtual machines without shared storage "(hôte de changement et magasin de données»)." However, this feature is available on the Web Client.

• No warehouses have been configured on the host

  All of a sudden after a restart, my host says:

  "No warehouses have been configured on the host.

  However, there is only one hard drive in the host and uses it as the local data store. The local data store is the only store of data that was connected to this host. I'm not sure how to get the data store online since it's a local data store. Also no patches or upgrades have been appiled to this host ever. It's just a test area, so Im puzzled why it has worked one minute and not the other.

  It seems that the drive works in IDE mode (or inheritance).

  You must see it as/dev/sdX not/dev/HDX.

• Cannot transfer the data of the CR to the host using FTP

  Save us from our experimental data in a folder in the CR (pxi-1042 to the pxi controller 8108 RT). Retrieve later us the data to our host for analysis. Now, we used to regularly used to make new folders in RT to reduce the time of llop to read the files in the host, but somehow the data in particular folder has increased due to the more experimental campaigns.

  Now the given folder has become inaccessible, we tried to get the data using FTp methods like browser, orders msdos, but nothing has worked so far

  We tried to connect n a USB to the RT controller and tried to transfer files on it, but the performance of the VI RT disconnects. (although we are bale to access other folders)

  This folder has our important experimental data, so it is crucial to get your hands on it.

  Please suggest what options exist.

  Thanks a lot for your answers. We gave a lst test by inserting a USB hangs in the RT controller.

  We then programmatically regularization RT drive on USB data. We were able to achieve and could get the data.
