Realtek High definition audio not working not
My realtek high definition audio slowly stopped working and now does not at all, on my Levovo ThinkPad laptop. I made the resolution of the problems, and he could not find the problem. The computer tells me that everything works well, but it's not. I am running Windows 7. What can I do?

Ask a Satellite M100, which I shot the pre-installed Windows Vista Home edition to Windows XP Pro, for to use on our network of schools.
After Installing Win XP SP2, I have no sound and the 'Device Manager' shows 'other devices' - device modem on high definition audio bus with a yellow (!).
I updated the bios to 2.6 installed toshiba M100 XP drivers chipset, display and audio from the website toshiba.com.au. Updates with bus driver Microsoft UAA KB835221 has also installed.Tried the latest audio drivers Realtek R164 but still no sound from the speakers (it worked once for a reboot although if the speakers work!), but sound with headphones.
I'm running out of ideas to solve this problem.

Operating system: Win7 64 bitEverything was working fine until last week. I haven't had any changes and update logs don't show updates.
Question:
Using "Manager Audio Realtek DD" in the control panel.
The rear panel does not all speakers connected. (Speakers tested and work on other systems.)
No noise at all until that I disabled the front jack detection. Now I hear threw the rear speakers but with static 1/2 volume, without mute and the "Realtek HD Audio Manager" shows still no rear speakers.Things I have tried:
- check the connections (connections of cleaning)
- different stakeholders.
- Uninstalling the drivers and software.
- update of drivers.
- Rolling back the drivers.
- The system restore.
Note: the "Realtek HD Audio Manager" shows the digital connection and the façade as available, but disappeared on the rear panel, even if the rear panel is only taken in use.
I can usually solve these problems on my own, and it's the first time that I used a forum to ask for help in 15 years. I'm just puzzled.

As you have tried almost everything to fix the problem, I would like to allows you to check if the rear speakers are disabled and the volume level is fine. To do this, follow the steps below.
- Click Start.
- Click on Control Panel and click on sound.
- Playback tab, click speakers and click Properties.
- Click the levels tab and check if the back entrance is set on mute and uncheck the box.
- Select the level to 100% and check if the speaker rear works fine.
Also, you can try disabling the improvements and check if it helps.
To turn off the improvements:
1. access control panel
2. click on sound
3. Select the play tab
4. Select entry speakers/headphones
5. click on properties
6. Select tab improvements
7 disable all improvements
If the steps above do not work, you can contact the manufacturer of the motherboard and try to reset the BIOS to default settings and check if it helps. You can also take their support and try to update the BIOS and check if it helps.
NOTE: Changing the BIOS / semiconductor (CMOS) to complementary metal oxide settings can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from configuration can resolved BIOS/CMOS settings. Changes to settings are at your own risk
If the above steps you may need to contact the manufacturer of the computer to verify that the equipment works very well and has to be replaced or the motherboard.

Thanks for helping me with this regard, after many trials, I finally found a driver that is very good for my pc for now.

So far my experience with this version of the driver is quite ok, 5 bars work and the question of swing volume disappeared... but there is only one problem with this driver by which song / midtones / highs are higher, even with the default settings, which makes the audio less complete and the net resulting in less comfortable to listen... I tried to set the EQUALIZER, but she out of her just like hiding the harmony of the sound with the bass... but I'm fine with it now... If all goes well, there will be a more tuned up to the version of the driver after that... =)
It's my settings of 5 bars
Bass 77 / 76 equal focus 45 55 40 15 central space (just in case someone else) =)

High definition Audio Device works not properly
I use Windows 7 Home Premium with a generic "high definition Audio Device" that beat unexpectedly and I can't get it fixed. It seems that Windows thinks that the Audio device does not work correctly, except there is a red X on the speaker sign on my toolbar. I have no playback listed device, but there is a device under sound, video and game controllers. Its location is also "Location 0 (High Definition Audio Bus)". Please and thanks for the help!
No, the Red Cross means no driver installed, essentially.
Go to the site of the manufacturer of your computer, looking for support for your page, then download and install the specific audio drivers for W7.
Re-post if it does not work. Do NOT rely on MS to do the update for you.

IDT High Definition Audio CODEC works only (no sound)
So I have a HP Envy 17 t-j100 jump movement and it's been a bit dodgy so far (I got to send twice for repairs of equipment), but now it's ruin on audio.

At random, it has stopped working, I checked my cell phone yesterday and the sound does not work, it says that the driver may be corrupted or missing. When I checked the Device Manager, the driver came with the same message, so I uninstalled and reinstalled the same. To answer your question, Yes, I have Windows 8.1. I actually managed to get it fixed; I installed the driver of windows 7, updated (which does not immediately), and then restarted the computer and managed to make it work when you have completed the update. It works everything perfectly except the tone!
The driver does not work!

I suggest you to consult the steps mentioned below and check:
Step 1:
1. click on Start
2 type devmgmt.msc in search
3. in the video controller and game, you will find the sound cards right-click on it and select Uninstall.
4. restart the computer and check.
Step 2:
Then, try to uninstall the drivers from programs and features (as applicable).
1. click on Start
2 type appwiz.cpl in the start search
3 locate the audio driver package, Right click and Uninstall the package
4. restart the computer and check.

Today, I downloaded the updated driver sp38899.exe and during installtion, an open window to the top warning me that the original driver will be deleted and that, after the installation, I need to go back to the original drivers and double-click setup.exe. I'm really confused on why I need to do this.
If the original driver is deleted how can I restore it if I need to?

The original driver can be installed in the Recovery Manager.
The Recovery Manager are accessed through a combination of keys F10 as soon as possible after setting under tension, or use the recovery disks.
The Recovery Manager is used for more that just restore your PC/computer laptop delivered State. All the original drivers are stored in reccovery partition and a recovery disc #2 disc set for use when and if necessary.

Realtek High Defination Audio speakers is not plugged in, no sound in Windows
Hi guys.
I got my PC for about 2 years now, and all of a sudden my audio stopped working. When I go to manage my audio devices in the Control Panel, it says "realtek high definition audio speakers are not connected. I use the onboard sound on the motherboard Asus Maximus V extreme.
Therefore, the realtek digital output has been selected automatically. I since changed it NVIDIA high definition audio digital output - so that sound for now plays on my speakers monitors via the HDMI cable.
I tried my speakers on an MP3 player and they work no - including the cable, so the speakers and cable are not a problem.
I tried to restore the pc to a time where noise - WORKS DO not STILL working.
Downloaded the latest drivers Realtek and installed - DOES NOT ALWAYS WORK.
Deleted the latest drivers and install them from the CD of motherboard drivers - DOES NOT ALWAYS WORK.
I disabled all audio devices, hoping that speakers will then - DO WORKS not ALWAYS. Help, please...
