Reboot during rendering

Hello

I have a very strange problem. Until a few days ago my sytem ran beautifully. I had Vista 64 with MC5.5 and applications, agency heads including borderline perfect. This is certainyl slow my system has only 8Gigs and is a strict minimum at best, but it meets the minimum system requirements.

Intel Core 2 Quad CPU

8GB

ASUS Board

(Don't know what info oter guys would take).

On there are 6 or 7 days, I was invited by Windows update that updates are available. I advanced and installed updates and when Windows was going on through the process of restarting the process in which he configures updates he never finished to restart and would not go back to the top.

I got down to a local computer store and the guy he has been able to start it and it appeared that all Windows updates were installed successfully. I got it home, ran CCleaner, doubling active Windows update again, and everything seemed to run smoothly.

I put some files to be encoded in SOUL and my computer restarted while encoding. I was irritated but thougt that maybe something happened like a switch on the power strip had shot or something (I was not present when the reboot happened). Then I rebooted, put all to the top again, has started rendering again once and it restarts again during rendering. He kept this for me and I couldn't get a full encoding done. What's weird, is that everything ran smoothly, PP cut was nice, it's only when I visited.

I looked online for possible solutions and I opened the prompt and ran sfc/scannow, and it has found an error which he says only he repaired. Same result. I decided not to try to track down a ghost problem and I just did a clean install of the operating system and in the process installed CS6.

CS6, PP in particular was running great then I put some footage to render in the SOUL and it restarted again. Since I did a clean install of the OS, I know this isn't the applications Adobe do, I am wary of the Bios, it's weird because it does only when rendering. I export directly from PP or send to the SOUL, it restarts. I got through a few short encodes without him turning it back on, it was a second 30 sequence which took about 10 minutes to encode. All the sequences that are about several minutes or more, that I can't go and my computer restarts.

As I said I know that this is not the applications. Everthing started getting some funky when I got the update Windows go wrong, what do you think? My Bios or something is messed up?

I know that this probably isn't a problem of Adobe or PP, but seeing this only happens during the encoding, I hope someone has an idea, because I don't know where else to turn. I tried to find solutions online hoping not to bother the guy, but just don't know where to go from here. I'm not that deep into the end of the hardware it like many of you are.

I thank for taking the time to read and all help would be greatly appreciated.

Shane

It is a hardware problem. Use Memtest86 + to stress test your memory and use Prime95 to stress test your system. Use HWMonitor or Speedfan to monitor your time when running Prime95 stress test. Tell us what are your time.

  • Select "write to the cache" during rendering

    Hi people,

In the render settings, there is a drop down 'Disk cache' with two options: 'Settings' and 'read only '. The latter is fairly easy, but I couldn't find any information on what exactly happens to the cache if I choose "current settings". I looked through preferences and saw the size and empty controls. What I aim for is a way to get all the frames which have been made available of the RAM Preview tool when changing the model. So, I'd like to see this green bar of joy extending over my workspace after rendering.

    Thanks for the reading/response,

    -DLK

Here is the explanation in The help of After Effects:

    Disk cache

Determines if disk cache preferences are used during rendering. Read-only writes no new frames in After Effects disk cache makes. Current settings (default) uses the disk cache settings in the media & disk Cache preferences. (See the disk cache).

Even if I agree with you that the meaning of "Current settings" in this context is indirect and therefore a bit confusing, I hope that this explains the difference between the settings is 'Read only' vs ' read and write, but only if the Disk Cache preferences are enabled.

What I aim for is a way to get all the frames which have been made available of the RAM Preview tool when changing the model. So, I'd like to see this green bar of joy extending over my workspace after rendering.

When After Effects renders the image, she remains in RAM (or in the disk cache) until after effects needs memory for something else. This means that you will get what you ask for, but only under certain conditions. Here are the factors to be taken into account:

    1. Make a RAM preview can cause a different image that how you choose to display in a file. If these images are different, preview RAM cannot use frames that have been stored during the rendering of a file. For example, if your model is defined on a half resolution and make you at full resolution, the RAM Preview cache does not recognize frames because they are not the same thing that require parameters of your comp. However, at this point if you change the resolution of your comp in full, it should recognize managers still in memory (which may be only at the end of your computer) and show you green cache marks for each image that is in memory (or blue if they are in the disk cache). Another way to look at it is that if your render settings are not on the current settings, you will not get the desired result.
    2. The markers of cache (green or blue) may never fill your timeline together because you don't have enough RAM to contain your comp together, at least with the current settings.

    Makes sense?

I worked on short, 1 min 30 to 2 min, testimonies, including tracks for logo, title, Matt and real media. This requires changes keyframing scale, position, correction of 3 colours, gobos and dissemination. The last two coming from 3rd party Tiffen.  You have 4 or 5 with no problem, but the last several have quit smoking during rendering or, if rendering, during export. • Satellite L500D - number of reboots during recovery?

Bought a factory sale Toshiba Satellite L500D. I recovered by following the instructions on the Toshiba support pages. My question is, * how many times restart the laptop during installation drivers.*

So far, it has restarted a dozen times. I wiil be left on all night, I hope it's just reboot after each driver, not stuck in a loop.

    Hi shr3k,

Don t forget that during the process of recovery of all drivers and tools will install automatically makes your laptop ready to use after this process. No drivers or tools, you need to install yourself after that.

From my own experience, I can say that installing recovery takes a long time that s right but it s normal behavior. So don t you worry about this, a coffee or do something else. After that, your laptop should be completed (wait 1-2 hours).

    Hello shez1983,

Yes, if you have a 3 GB of RAM on your computer and 2 sticks. You can try to remove one of the RAM stick and check if the installation goes through.

  • You can restrict processing during Renders

For playback and editing, the new engine Mecury is excellent. However, for the long renders as fifteen to thirty-five minutes, the computer crashes. When she makes and maxing out the CPU, it warms the processors and fans cranks into overdrive. After a few hours, it will freeze.

Is there a way to limit the amount of computer processing use, via the options in first Pro CS5, first Media Encoder or Windows 7?

I know you can limit the amout of RAM in CS5, but could not find a way to limit the CPU usage. When I was using AE 6.5 and Neculeo, I could assign the amout of CPU for rendering. That's what I would do in first Pro CS5.

The images were shot on a Sony EX1, 1920 x 1080 HQ, 23.98, and I was exporting in the same format MPEG Preview.

When the computer crashes and I reboot, there will be a video up to the length he rendered. I'm done with many shorter clips, about five minutes, twelve, twenty-nine and so on. So I just made the last six minutes so I can get a rough cut to look at.

If your system is unstable due to heat problems, what is being resolved as soon as POSSIBLE.

You can use a temporary workaround by setting the affinity in Process exploring some of the logical processors, but you HAVE to solve the heat problem.

  • Satellite Pro P100 spontaneously reboot during game sessions

Hey, I'm having a recurring problem with my new P100 (5 months). Whenever I try to play some games, usually requiring a configuration relatively high, my phone will just freeze and reboot. The laptop has enough power to play these games, but it freezes and restarts anyway. It doesn't happen instantly, but can occur at any time, I was wondering if there was a reason that I don't give me any error message.

Does anyone have any advice as to what I should do?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello

I guess you get a BSOD, but you can not read the error message.

Please follow this path and disable automatically restart.

Control Panel System Advanced tab settings in the start menu upwards and the recovery area.
There, you must disable the option automatically restart in the area of system failure.

If this option is disabled if you will be able to read the error message.
Maybe then we can say something more about the error.

However, sometimes the unit may freezes due to the high temperature.
I think the CPU and graphics card works with a maximum yield and produce a lot of heat. Check the cooling module if it works properly.
Don't forget that you have enough space around the laptop because of the circulation air.

  • Blue screen after reboot during the installation of the security updates.

  • W7 Ent. SP1 x 64 clean install on the new PC - very slow to load after reboot during installation

    Hi all

I'm busy to install W7 Ent. SP1 x 64 on two computers for a small organization non-profit of my friends, all the similar Assembly (motherboard: ASRock H81M-VG4, CPU: Intel Celeron G1840, transcend SSD). The first PC went perfectly, no problems with the installation at all. Now, I installed the second, but unfortunately the following happens:

After restarting the installation, was asked to enter the name of the computer normally, and then to set up a password. When I clicked on next (and leaving the word password empty) the whole process seems to freeze a little, and then after a few minutes, I could choose settings updates, after which everything slowed even further. "Finalizing settings" took about three quarters of an hour. Once this done, all slowed even more, and it now displays a black screen telling me that this is not a genuine copy of Windows (had no chance to fill in the key product of course) and after about half an hour he is now "configuration of settings customized for xxxx".

-EDIT - Windows has begin once (between my opening message and my second post), and it was terribly slow in everything that (like several minutes before opening anything). I installed the LAN driver with the idea of updating all the drivers, but after a reboot it is so late it now already taken 10 minutes to boot Windows (and is suspended in the Welcome screen again).

I've done an another clean install after using DISKPART to format the SSD, but the same thing is happening again once unfortunately. I installed on a USB bootable, I used to install two other computers as well (one before this one and the other afterwards), and everything is fine with those. Swapping the RAM module for a good known has not changed the situation.

All comments are welcomed, appreciated, thanks.

All other essential drivers have been installed: video, Chipset?

Try the SSD at the other system and see how it starts in the system causes problems.

Also try the SSD with the painful installation in this computer to see if the problem persists.

Could contribute to isolate if the SSD.

  • How we prevent persistent reboots during the day on desktop

You need to restart our computer of the two or three times during the day.  Turn us your computer in the morning and leavit turn it on during the day, then it turn off during the night.  What is going on???

Looks like you may have a virus or other malware. Get your updated antivirus program and boot into Safe Mode. Note that some viruses can hide from your normal antivirus program, so you really need to scan in Safe Mode. To enter in Safe Mode when you turn on first, press F8 on every seconds until you get the menu, and then select Safe Mode. Then run a complete system scan.

If that suits him fine. If this is not the case, use system restore to go back to an earlier date at the beginning of the problem. To run system restore, click Start-> programs-> Accessories-> System Tools-> system restore. Click on the box that says show more restore points.

    -

You can check the corrupted system files. Open an administrator command prompt and run SFC if the above does not help. Click START, and then type CMD in the search box, right-click on CMD. EXE and click run as administrator. Then, from the command prompt type sfc/scannow.

    -

Finally if all else fails, you can look at the rather cryptic system event log. To do that click on start-> Control Panel-> administration-> event viewer tools. Once in Event Viewer system log-click and scroll entries looking for these "error" with indicator see if you can find guidance on where the problem may be.

When you get your system in good working condition, I invite you to back up your system up to an external hard drive and make it regular periodic updates.

I hope this helps. Good luck.

  • "Too many IDATs found" error during rendering?

Someone has already asked about this, but this is the second time it happens to me, so perhaps this is due to the memory cache?
I made a Png 4K sequence with the glow effect based on a mask simple sphere, it worked fine when I was create and animate, but after the middle to make it (like, 1226 4000 pictures, 60 frames per second) he couldn't, even before that, he failed to 1226 images too, I deleted the Cache, handed the computer and tried again After I couldn't restart the make because I had something else to do so I wasn't aware, but still, if I try to continue to frame 1226, the error keeps appearing...

    ERROR_.png

What can I do this? I'm really worried since this is a mistake on the same thought rendering animation and layers are addressing the composition...

IDATs are tables of compression of PNG format, so that's something. Try a different image format. If not do the usuaul - check, if you are not running run out of disk space, check your color settings and so on.

  • SOUL do not use my GPU at all during rendering?

    Hello

I'm on a windows machine 8 - core i7 5960 x of two Titan black NVIDIA.  I noticed that the processors seem to max out when I went in the Media Encoder, but the GPU load is between 1 and 14%.  I have Mercury Playback GPU active.

    Hi aemilias,

I'm on a windows machine 8 - core i7 5960 x of two Titan black NVIDIA.  I noticed that the processors seem to max out when I went in the Media Encoder

It seems normal. The encoding is a process that focuses on CPU.

but the GPU load is between 1 and 14%.  I have Mercury Playback GPU active.

Also normal if you don't have any GPU processes related to encoding, such as the scaling, deinterlacing, modes, fusion, etc. (see this blog post on the details on the export for more details).

    Thank you

  • Why this project generates endless seen during rendering?

    Summary:

I have a sequence with three video tracks and a track audio discrete, all synchronized. If I change the order of the video tracks and press on "make in out", rendering never stops as new insights are continually being added to the queue of rendering!

    Details:

I'm working on a project of three cameras. So far the key steps:

-three cams on three tracks 17 place video clips and synchronized to them.

-Added a track audio discrete it synced, then deleted the other audio tracks.

-Back up the track audio discrete position of "A1".

-Began rough cut three video tracks.

Soon, I saw that the Cup would be better with camera main, stacked on top, in the "V3" position, not on the bottom in the position "V1". So I just picked all V1, V3, up dragged taking care to snap into place to keep synchronized. Then I deleted the now empty V1 track, all three tracks moving down a position.

I hit "Render in to Out" before attempting to save the new arrangement of track. The render window popped up, showing 17 previews to display. So far so good.

I moved away, came back an hour later and the render said "Rendering 137 137!" window previews And the number has increased to the second! The green progress bar has been pinned to "99,32% complete" and would go no further.

I have let it run again 20 minutes and the window rendering said "Rendering 304 of 304 previews" or something, the number continues to climb.

So I cancelled the operation. I sketched a similar experiment project. Whenever I tried the same maneuver - travel one video track to a position higher - I had the same problem.

I could start this project with the cams in the right order, but that would be a pain. In addition, I would like to know why this does not work, for later use.

    Thanks for your time.
