Rebuild the Eclipse project

Hi all!

I made an app that works very well in the Simulator and I can install it on the device (9300 SV 5.0) and works very well.

But when I try to install it on a 8520 device and select the .alx Office files show me an error saying that the installation is perhaps not compatible.

I guess it's normal because the libraries are different and that the files .alx file is located on a folder 'deliverables-> standard-> 5.0.

I downloaded 4.0 library to Eclipse, but I don't know how to rebuild the application to work with 4.0.

What should I do?

TY!

------------------------------------------

Edit: ok, just change the reference of libraries projects and now I have the 5.0 and 4.6 folder (I think that can only exist on the project); but now that a single .alx files.

Is this normal?

Edit2: http://supportforums.blackberry.com/t5/Java-Development/What-is-the-proper-format-for-a-single-ALX-f...

Open the Properties window for your project in eclipse, go to Java Build Path, on the libraries tab, choose Add library, select JRE System Library, then press Next, select another JRE and select the BlackBerry JRE you want in the list and press Finish. When you return to the Java Build Path window, go to the tab order and export, uncheck everything except the library, you need and press OK. Now you should be good to go.

  • Add JAD to the Eclipse project - how?

I develop for BB 9000 (bold). I have the eJDE 1.0.0.67 installed with the OS pack 4.6.0.19 and 9000 Simulator.

I work in a workspace BB (as far as I know, the option "Activate for BlackBerry" is checked in the Project menu).

Eclipse continues crushing my JAD file when I am debugging the application. Since I have some custom properties in the JAD, so I need Eclipse to be used during the generation of the project.

All around the forum, I hear that I need to add the JAD to the project. How can I do?

MSohm - this method, I cannot selectively add single files.

I have however to mark the two check boxes (don't build and the file is generated) in the menu BlackBerry file properties (right click on the JAD-> properties). Even though I have no idea what are these boxes, which seems to allow the application to read of the JAD. Is this a valid solution, or I cause me trouble elsewhere?

  • How to increase the application version number in the eclipse runtime Android plugin

Then, I read a few post on this forum and find a version in .xml number must be increased to fix my mistake, but I can't find such a file and the version number in the eclipse project. He would be grateful if someone can tell me how to increase the version number in a project created by BlackBerry Android plugin eclipse runtime.

You must edit the AndroidManifest.xml file you will find in the root of the project in Eclipse.

Just increase the parameter 1 versionCode.

    Hello.

I want to install a workstation development corporate tax management. I followed the installation guide for up and down.

The application server is ok, the SDK seems to be OK.
I ran "configureEclipse.exe" and makes manual configurations - as the install guide - readings. The eclipse project has been created, but it has 2 missing libraries.
When I opened eclipse, it shows the following errors:

Project EclipseProject220 is missing required library: "lib/ojdbc5-11.1.0.6.0.jar."
Project EclipseProject220 is missing required library: "lib/spl-ccb-2.2.0.jar."

    I had these problems too...

I suppouse you're TAX installind (ETM) then the library you need is lib/spl-tax-2.2.0.jar'

On the other hand, the eclipse of "lib/ojdbc5-11.1.0.6.0.jar" othe application. I changed it to "lib/ojdbc5-11.1.0.7.0.jar".

After change of these libs I can run the generator and deploy scripts even when I don't know jet how to develop.

Dou you have a few cookbooks for development (algorithnms, modify native clases, ect) you want to share?

  • BlackBerry missing in Eclipse project type

I ran the installation to get the site components for Blackberry dev. I had some options display for Blackberry, but now they are gone. The only thing I know that I did was to install the SVN client and simulators. If I look at the installed components it shows Blackberry being installed. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling, but it doesn't work. I'm obviously not an expert with Eclipse (really hate him and chose Netbeans for other Java worked in the past), but seems there must be something stupid miss me to do the things to see the upward. I tried to have a new clean folder for Eclipse and try it all again, but seems it must be some sort of registry entries or some common place looking for files as it says components Blackberry are already installed.

    Any advice would be appreciated.

This is what I've done and things work. I removed the extract Eclipse, I had. I downloaded the complete installation of the RIM and had him install Eclipse as well. At least now I see the project types. When I shoot a project on google code I'm working, then I get another error, now to try to ensure that updates are done (list has nothing so I'll use the VM version to rebuild the list). Did I mention I didn't like Eclipse, the IDE should not be this difficult to work with, but what do you expect for free .

  • Impossible to import the same project name as a previously deleted

I had a project in Flash Builder, I needed to update; the old version was a Flash Professional project using a FLA, but the new version uses a different folder structure and XFL. I have a click with the right button on the old project in Flash Builder and choose 'Remove', then choose the option "do not remove content". Then, I renamed the project folder and put the new version of the project with the same name of file, in the same place.

Flash Builder doesn't let me import the new version of the project. It will take me through the Import Wizard, but when he finished nothing appears in Flash Builder. Almost seems as if there is a flag 'permanently ignore this name forever projects' hidden somewhere, although I hope that FB was not inflexible. Anyone know how to fix this? Thank you.

Eclipse has serious problems with distinguish uppercase / lowercase in project names and will be silently fails if the name of a project changes in the case. Apparently even if you delete the project, then rebuild. So I had to change the capitalization to match the previous version.

  • Simulator of don't support Eclipse project

A small HelloWorld application load in the simulator of Eclipse without problem.  If I add a lot of code not used for the same project HelloWorld, then the Simulator always starts, but the app is no longer available in the Simulator.

I have an app LWUIT BB I want to convert a BB natively.  That's what I really want to be able to debug.  The case of HelloWorld seems to be a hint about the issue.  When I deploy the application that it deploys in multiple COD files if that's relevant.

I'm using Eclipse 3.5 and the last BB plugin (1.1.2.20100041610203 - 16 Eclipse on)

Three different issues have conspired to cause me pain.

    1) there are two consoles at the launch of a debugging session.  Simulator and output packaging.  Out of the box gets moved by the Simulator output once the Simulator starts.  For me, out of the box (hidden until you choose) showed that the jar program is not found.  With this information, I searched and found that I needed to add the JDK bin directory to my system wide path environment variable.

    (2) I started with an existing project that I checked on a SVN repository.  Apparently, this is a no go.  After that I started a new workspace and created a new project of BB and then manually copied into my source, I was able to debug.   With the help of a pre 1.1 plugin project will compile and would launch the Simulator, but the ongoing project of debugging are not available in the Simulator.

    (3) I had to choose the code to delete warnings signature in the preferences of BB.  It is actually an optional step, but without it the clean process will sit analysis sources for a long time (5 to 20 minutes).  With these warnings off, it behaves as expected.

    Please help me

    Hello

You link your old keys with your BlackBerry ID?

You have the right code signing credentials in c:\Users\[USERNAME]\AppData\Local\Research in Motion\? (author.p12, barsigner.csk, barsigner.db)

As an alternative, you can export the apk of eclipse and then try the packer online.

  • Multiple application to the same project

    Hi all

I wish I had 1 application runs as a service to start and another is a UIApplication to set the variable to the first application. How can I do this in the same project?

I try to separate two project but when running, I got the below error

    Class 'com.mytest.phone.UserInfo' multiply defined.

The linker error: "VerifyError" for MyTestSetting_BB

Error starting MyTestSetting_BB: 'com.mytest.phone.UserInfo' multiply defined class.

Two projects use UserInfo for storing data persistenly.

    Thanks in advance,

    POJ

I'll just try to rephrase what Simon and Bika have already said, but otherwise it's maybe a little clearer.

The BlackBerry smartphone does not load two classes that have the same name.  Of the same name, in other words the package and class name.  If you have a PersistentData class in the com.myorg.testapp1 package, as well as in the com.myorg.testapp2 package, then here is therefore not the same thing, even if the class name is the same.

However for process objects in PersistentStore, the same class should be used.  So even though the two classes PersistentData in testapp1 and testapp2 were the same, the BlackBerry only would leave one of them extract the data.

So to store data in PersistentStore which is used by the applications of two (or more), you should use a common (shared) class.  An easy option is to use standard RIM provided classes such as vector and String.  But that can make life a bit difficult.

The simplest option is to share classes between applications.  This can be done easily in the JDE.

Step 1: You create a project that is testapp1 and another is testapp2.

Step 2: Then you create a third project of the library, which provides the object that will be stored in PersistentStore (and of course, this might have any other components shared as well).  Let's say this project is in the com.myorg.shared package.  Then com.myorg.shared we PersistentData class, she object that is persistent.

Step 3: You are doing the project two testapp dependent on the com.myorg.shared library project, just the dependencies of the project

Step 4: You import com.myorg.shared. * classes in testapp classes that use data from PersistentStore.

I presume that you can do this kind of thing in Eclipse, but I don't him did not.

Once you understand this, then you can create library files that are in independent work spaces, so that you can maintain testapp1, testapp2 and share completely separated.  But is not too far for this explanation.

But in short, you do not add the same class for two projects, you make sure that the projects share the same class.  To achieve this, have three projects, two applications and a library.

    Hope it makes sense.

  • swap in the stackorder project characters

What method do I need (is it possible anyway) to change the order of the stack of my actors in the project timeline?

I introduced just a background, but I can't seem to drag the character in front of him. Is there some shortcuts or what to do?

When I rebuild the project a lot of behavior settings (like hold it in place) are lost.

Yes, it is possible to move the character upwards or downwards.

Select the character in the script, and then go to Timeline/organize and you will see two options (to move upward or downwards), as well as the associated keyboard shortcuts.

  • Impossible to update the display in the viewController project

    Hello

I use Jdev studio edition 11.1.1.1.0.

    I inherited an existing application.
I need to change the application of the existing view. I made and tested in the model project with the tester to bc4j. Everything works very well.

    But,
When I deploy the project, there should be changes in the pages. All looks like that I have not modified the query from the view.

An idea of the cause of this?
It seems that security prevents the changes.

    Thanks for any help

most of the time these are the questions which is because we do not update the project dependencies correctly.
Build--> clean all [this will delete all classes and deployed pots]
rebuild all the dependent project, and then run the user interface.
