receipt of spam from myself?
Normally, I don't check my spam but noticed that I received an email from myself. If someone has hacked my Google account or someone spoofing my email address? I have change my password after seeing this.
Doriroid wrote:...Could this be that someone has hacked my Google account or is someone spoofing my email address?
Don't worry, it's really systematic. It is very easy to spoof the email address the email appears to be. Often, and usually the spammer just send spam to your email address and hope you will open to it because it seems to come from you. There is no need to hack your account to do this.
Of course, Google has detected this and marked the message as SPAM. It seems all relative, but no one will blame you for make them spam. It is easy for a sysadmin or automated system to say that he's not in you.
If you're still interested, you can:
- Open the message (in gmail, not on your phone) and then choose "show original". You will see the raw message with headers. You should be able to sort out these stars, or you can display the raw message (w / headers) to any friends ubergeek you have or you can me PM with the results.
- scroll at the bottom of your gmail account page and you will see ' last account activity: X hours ago on this computer. " Details» Click on 'details' as if the connection times and places seems to make sense.

I opened 2 emails that were in the folder spam from my email and that each contained an attachment zip 2 k and 3 KB. As I could not open directly in my email, I opened the zip files with the "open in" another app option. When you open the zip files at this other app asked me if I wanted to extract zip files in a new folder, I have accepted, in both files .js (javascript) files there. I opened these .js inside this same application files and content files white text on black background and that seems to be a script file. My question is: my iPad Air has been compromised by a scam of viruses, such as the Trojan horse thieves and banking password especially as Dridex or Dyreza, the Trojans and ransomware as Locky, cryptolocker, or Teslacrypt. If that were the case, then what is the solution to get rid of these... Thank you.
Simply delete them. It is not possible to install anything on iOS using this method. For good measure, you can remove and reinstall the application allowing you to open it with, but I don't really have that is actually needed.

Proceed to a very thorough check for malware and then change your password by e-mail.

Someone or something is somehow sending emails to spam from my email account with obscene language.
If you ask the subject to WIndows Live Mail on any WIndows platform, ask http://windowslivehelp.com/product.aspx?productid=15. If you use Hotmail from a web browser, ask http://windowslivehelp.com/product.aspx?productid=1. If you use Outlook, ask in a forum reflecting yor version of Office. Start here: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/office/forum/outlook. If you use another client, say that if we can tell you that the best place to ask your question.
Just because your address is in the messages people receive does not mean that messages are sent to yor account.

I get spam from my gmail contacts 2. One grandson, with a yahoo email account. Another, ' name sent on ", on account of yahoo from a friend of the family. There is no topic and no content in these emails, just a link to click on. I clicked on the first link sent my grandson. The first time, my search engine, Mozilla Firefox, would not lead the link. So 6 or so, he led to a site advertising Viagra. Quickly, I broke the link. I have not clicked on the link in his second e-mail "not applicable". But I sent him a separate email, asking him why he was sending these. Then today I received another one of those spam e-mails from the friend of the family (which had not sent us more than 2 years) and was immediately suspicious.
It is obvious to me now that these two people have had their email accounts hijacked. Am I at risk of also taken hostage? My only security is Microsoft Security Essentials. It will be enough? Or I have to download Malwarebytes and perform a scan in safe mode, etc. ?
Thank you for any answers you can provide.
Hello
1st thing to do is to warn them that their yahoo accounts have been compromised; You can call if necessary if they are not replying to emails on your part
and also tell them to change their email Yahoo password
___________________________________________________________
and for you to be on the safe side, do a scan.
Download update and scan with the free version of malwarebytes anti-malware
http://www.Malwarebytes.org/MBAM.php
You can also download and run rkill to stop the process of problem before you download and scan with malwarebytes
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/anti-virus/rkill
If it does not remove the problem and or work correctly in normal mode do work above in safe mode with networking
Windows Vista
Using the F8 method:
- Restart your computer.
- When the computer starts, you will see your computer hardware are listed. When you see this information begins to tap theF8 key repeatedly until you are presented with theBoot Options Advanced Windows Vista.
- Select the Safe Mode with networking with the arrow keys.
- Then press enter on your keyboard to start mode without failure of Vista.
- To start Windows, you'll be a typical logon screen. Connect to your computer and Vista goes into safe mode.
- Do whatever tasks you need and when you are done, reboot to return to normal mode.

Received an email from myself that I've not sent!
I received an email in my spam from my own email address - but I did not send the message!
It happened only once and I have loaded about 3 pieces of a strain of the virus on my computer (Dell Dimension 8300) to clean it out. It was months ago and now reappeared barely (I was monitoring it).
I have since run the adaware and spybot, AVG on the PC to delete, but I need to know if I should just delete this email address? -What is the email address that has been compromised or my PC? And how avoid that my email hijacked like that? Once that my email has been hacked it right? Should I just create a new one?
AdAware seemed to get something in my documents and settings (rather than General cookies) and who was kidnapped, but I want to know how it got there because I have all these pieces of virus on anyway?
PS - no one I know (in my AddressBook) received the same email from me.
Is it a coincidence that I moved my PC/internet connection on the same day and had bad plug or do any e-mail address that I put to the top of my machine, it will be hijackable? I have to get my PC cleaned by a professional? Or use virus checkers enough?
PS - I have too many virus checkers on anyway? someone once said that too many is just as bad as anything?
I know there are a lot of questions here - grateful for any help, thank you

I have reset this e-mail address, so that the account should not generate automatic replies more.
I heard at least one request to disable the ability to respond to e-mails from the watches, and have posted these answers. But I think there are many users appreciate this feature (myself included), so I hesitate to turn it off. I know that these automatic responses are an annoyance, but I think it's a discomfort that most people can live with. If I'm wrong about this, please let me know.

I send you spam to myself, but no one else, and I changed my password?
A couple of weeks, I noticed a spam for med pills in my Inbox (that said that he sent me!) So I looked online and followed the advice to change my password. Today the same thing happened, but no one else on my list of contacts I know has received something from me. I use a mac (and have anti-virus software), but especially access my emails from my iphone (whether through 3G or my network secure at home and work wireless). I really don't want to have to keep changing my password. All solutions?

Spam from my own email address
I use MSN on Windows XP and today I received an email from my email address. When I opened it, it is a supplement for Viagra. It's as if I send my own spam free. I'm trying to understand how someone can do and prevent it from happening again. I use Norton Internet Security, and nothing was found after doing a scan. Thanks for your help.
Hello
It has nothing to do directly with your computer.
E-mail is not sent directly out of our computers to the destination.
Our activities email through the email providers mail server.
Spammers are finding ways to "Tinker" with the servers.
Spammers harvest email addresses and fake her from addresses, it's a way to avoid some anti-spam filters.
That said, you have to scan your computer on a regular basis just to make sure that there is no. Trojans and malware sneak up on you.

Whenever someone sends me they emmidiately got an e-mail from some company spam Japanese camera. Does anyone know whats going on?
Hi gr8cad,
Thanks for posting. You can check the email address that your friend's mail to? This happens with some or all people? This occurs when your computer is turned on and off? You can check your email provider (i.e. hotmail.com att.com microsoft.com something like not using your full email address)?
What I would say, is to search for viruses, spyware and software malware. I've included a few websites for utilities that you can use to analyze your computer against viruses and spyware. I would like to use more than one, none of the products, which include every viral infection.
