    Essential facts of the message:

    1. "Microsoft and Norton confirmed...". "Dozens of fake virus alerts contain this phrase even.
    2. «AOL confirms...» "Once again, another classical travel operator.
    3. "... everything... lose hacker will have access to your computer...". "Contradictory requests.  If you lose all the files on your hard drive how the hacker accessed anything?

Key did a quick search on Bing...

4 Snopes.com lists this as a hoax known... from 2002!

In almost all cases, these alerts are fake.  Transmission only creates more hysteria and nobody does something though.  I always delete when they arrive and never transfer them to anyone.
