By the way since then I lose my connection to the mouse. I get "connection lost" notification even if the mouse is sitting idle without hands even near him. (I have the box checked to use the new profile on startup). I have created FF as I wanted it, and then exit. When I started later FF, the profile is not found. The profile did not have the "defaultuser" profile, does not open with the "default" profile, but would a new profile must be created and FF to open and run. Quit FF and reopen produces the same sequence (profile not found, etc.) I uninstalled 40 and reinstalled version 39.0.3 and I have the same problems with this version (39.0.3), plus he's starting the upgrade to version 40, and soon as I complete the installation again.   The index is with your comment "of the new batteries installed.    Once you have upgraded to 10,11 El Capitan, there is a mouse specially designed for this OS.   It is not really spoken aloud, but the box for the Magic Mouse 2 has a clear statement to be for OS 10.11 (+).   As operating systems go for ever higher, it may make sense to buy new mouse because all subsequent operating systems will need the facilities of this new creature.    The old mouse will work to some extent, but not, it seems, 100%.

  I thought that a green light flashing on the Magic Mouse 1 (not rechargeable), means that the necessary batteries replaced or recharged.  I put new batteries in, and yet the green light continues to blink.  This is a new mouse, sent to replace their defective Magic Mouse.  The defective mouse works, but I can't get the new one to work.  I can't get support to help me with this.   Using photoshop elements 11 (updates are current) using window 10 operating system... after installation of the updates of Windows 10 (without a restore point saved... yes I'm a fool)... photoshop began to act up.  On all but the drive root (C :), when I put them in a file jpg for editing and then try to save it with a changed name using the command file save as...) I get the message noted.  It makes no sense since I am trying to rename the file by using the Save as command for a new unique name.  The Save command works fine as long as I don't have to rename the file.  The previously described problem does not happen if I do this using the main C: drive, but it occurs on all the other drives. E:, W:, Z; J: etc.  I can't restore so I went to reinstall photoshop like my only option unless someone has a solution.   Thank you

  Reinstalled Photoshop elements 11 with no changes or improvements to the problem.  I've found a workaround which is a pain in the Azz...

  Whenever I have photoshop edit a JPG image, I always hit "save under" and add an E in the back of the name of the image... it always worked well until recently (as explained above)... to get the message "can not save as # because the file is not found". ""   The workaround works is that a PAIN is to type "E.jpg" instead of just "E"...
