Recently, I changed my motherboard now, today, I get "this copy of windows is not genuine" that I have to buy a new windows to fix this?

so jve had this new mob for nearly a month and today I received the message, to solve this problem, I have to buy a new windows 7, copy is authentic as the hard disk using a store bought pc im, im not exactly rich just go and buy a new windows at the moment as im still in school.

you have two problems:

1. you use an Acer OEM SLP key on a motherboard retail. that does not work.
2. your license is OEM and cannot be transferred to a new motherboard.  (the only exception is specified replacement manufacturers had to make defection)
If you have a certificate of authenticity windows 7 you can try to change the product key of your COA and activate by phone. There is a chance that they will be activate it for you.
OEM SLP: This key comes pre-installed in Windows, when it comes to the factory. This key is designed to work with the special instructions isn't on the hardware of this manufacturer.
