  The problem I have now is that this disc has become scratched and I look forward to receiving another disc.

  After talking with someone via chat online, I was told that only those who have purchased an online copy may download it. As I bought directly through Adobe by phone, I had no right to an automatically generated download link.

  The upgrade also does not appear in my product pages.

  So, can someone please help to know where I can download a copy of the upgrade, rather than wait for it to pass in the post?

  As long as you have the serial numbers for the upgraded version and the version of basic (CS6 and CS5.5 respectively in your case) programs will install fine. Download the demo version of www.adobe.com/downloads/ and install the software. The installation will ask you perhaps for the CS5.5 serial number (after you have entered your serial number CS6). The installation file or the setup.exe file is the same on drives and on Adobe.com.

  I am a student from a University in full sail and I don't have not be able to spend CS5.5 to C6.  I need this software for my classes. Is it possible to have this update by mail? This is a huge update. It would be nice it I could take my laptop in an Apple store for an upgrade. I tried also. They are not allowed to upgrade Adobe software. Why not?   You can download the demo version of CS6 and deal with the upgrade/activation Adobe web site after the event.  An upgrade is essentially buying a new version, don't crush is not the current.

• Cannot install or extract lawsuits suite CS6 Creative Design

  Unfortunately, I'm having a terrible time getting a trial of Adobe CS6 Creative Suite Design to install. I put about eight hours into it now, after having downloaded via the download several times Manager, as well as to download twice through direct download links that you can find on these forums.

  I used different browsers to download the files.

  I emptied the folder for temporary files for open space and made sure when I ran the executable files which I ran as administrator.  My computer has a lot of space, with hundreds of gigabytes free.

  With adobe download assistant, there is no problem of download files.  Then he goes to fetch mode, going on a good amount of time charge the hard drive, but then comes with the following error:

  "Error extracting the installation of the product (error 101) program. Check the available disk space on your system and try to download the product again. »

  Windows 7 machine with a processor i5, 8 GB of ram and hundreds of gigs of space.  The hard drive is 1 TB.

  I have a big wad of money ready to buy the Creative Suite, but the thing must really work for me before buying.  Help someone!

  Short to resize your discs I really can't think about much else, I'm pretty confident that is the question - integrated Download Manager logic and Extractor just 'is short on precision"and miscalculates the sizes on drives with 1 TB / more than 1 TB. If possible, try to download anotehr system extract the installer, then copy it to a USB key or similar. Everything else is venturing into the territory of geek to create a virtual partition to resize the disk using Linux-based boot disks, I'm afraid...

• Cannot open the CS5.5 in CS6

  I had a few CS5.5 - INDD of a partner. Some of them I can open it, others can't. CS6 inDesign freezes and must be closed. I can reproduce this problem on a Windows 7 64-bit and a computer Mac OS X Lion with two Creative CS6 InDesign clouds.

  I asked another colleaugue to open files in CS5.5 to register as IDML. It can open files without problems and create an IDMLs. When she sent me these IDML however, I get the same problem as at the opening of the INDD: InDesign freezes.

  I have tried several things to get open (IDML CS5.5 or INDD) files:

  * Reset the presets file

  * Disable plugins

  * Restart machines

  CS6 two facilities are up-to-date. Is anyone else having a similar problem with CS5.5 CS6 incompatibility or any ideas on the subject?

  Would be - this font related? InDesign plays nice with fonts but it cannot mentally handle the bad guys. The symptom you describe - a document opens very well on another system, but she and derivatives of the same file, stubbornly refuse to load on * your * system - could be due to one or more fonts that has turned into a 'wrong' on your system only.
