  I bought a model site.  It has a css file, /styles/screen.css

  It also has a template page 'home' with the link to the style sheet within the < head > section:

  I am tempted to change screen.css, by editing the file in the 'Develop' administration Console and pressing the 'Save' button on the file when changes are made.

  However, the changes do not appear in the preview of the Page template.

  However, if I do a < style > section in the head <>of the page template and put the change, it displays correctly.

  It's like the Page template does not recognize changes to the screen.css.

  I press "Save draft" and "Update" before you press 'Preview' to check for changes.

  My question is how to fix the Page Template styles that do not respond to changes in CSS files in the text editor of 'Developing' administration Console.

  I am a new user of BC and I agree it is likely a result of not knowing how the css BC.

  I think that you too complicate the thinking problem that BC is a non-standard way of processing applications to a css file. This looks more like a cache or perhaps a code problem. However, I would be happy to take a look at your code and see if I can remember where is the problem. Try Skype me and screen-sharing and I'll see what I can do. • Formatting in the Blog (BC/Muse) and CSS Editor

  I recently added a different template to my blog by Muse and I have some questions that might be related:

  1. None of the setting in the form, I put in the blog editor displays on the live page. The size of the "BOLD" text, etc. is ignored on some pages.
  2. I can't add a list bulleted or numbered. However, I can bold, italics, change the color of the text.

  Anyone have any ideas on what could be the problem? Or you can refer to the appropriate documentation.

• Editor settings online for the css class selector

  We want to reduce the number of available classes in the css selector in the online editor.

  We followed the instructions on how to use the partner portal, i.e.

  1. go to the partner portal > tools > editor online settings.

  2. choose the site

  3. click on Apply Css Editor

  4 added the name of the class that I want to show my editor one by one.

  And the process is.

  But our settings have not taken effect.

  In fact, it removes all the classes of the selector.

  This implemented?

  I know this is an old post, but just in case anyone is wondering, if you add custom classes or IDs to the Publisher, they must also appear EXACTLY the same in your CSS to the template file. So, if you add the following to your classes online editor:

  .img-right

  left-.img

  You will need in your CSS:

  .img-left {}

  .img-right {}

  Otherwise, it will not be displayed. If they will NOT work:

  . Happy .img-left {}

  #post - 36 left-.img {}

  @media (min-width: 480px) {.img-left {}}

  Hey Dave

  You could paste the lines for these CSS elements you have in the CSS but also how your loading the css.

  IF you have several CSS or CSS class items are in a @import (a file css etc) it will not work.

  Also before that, try to clear the cache, log out, clear the cookies from domain for the site and reconnect. That sort? If this isn't the case, then do the foregoing.

• Applied to the wysiwyg editor CSS

  Using RoboHelp HTML 7.02.001 on Windows XP Pro.
  
  1 Wysiwyg editor incorrectly displays Arial Sans, even if it is correctly defined in the CSS file.
  2 output (previewing output of WebHelp, etc.) displays correctly sans serif Arial.
  3 styles of dialog box (Format > Styles) presents a correct definition of sans serif fonts, but shows what looks like Times New Roman (with wheelbases of course). Police box (Format > style > Format > police) shows a correct definition of Arial, but displays the serif fonts.
  
  Does anyone know where the substitution could come from? I tried to import CSS files that work fine in ALL my other projects, but do not work correctly in this project. The CSS does not change, but the definition of police does not work in the wysiwyg editor (thought it DOES not work in the output).

  Found the solution to my problem!

  Format > dialog box font sets (a dialog box I never knew the existence!) showed that "times new roman" was used in wysiwyg ed instead of 'arial '. Also discovered that 'arial', it was the police wrong - should be Arial. When I corrected the definition of sets of fonts, everything is good again in the wysiwyg ed.

• I have an index page that does not correctly load the css and css works on all other pages of the site.

  http://www.boulderridgecondos.com/ does not correctly load the css, but all other pages of the site loading the css correctly. There is nothing (that I can identify) between pages.

  This page is saved in UTF-16 format (Content-Type: text/html (UTF-16 BOM, litte-endian)) in your text editor. The CSS file is sent as ISO-8859-1. Firefox fun to see all the files in the same encoding. The other pages are send as ISO-8859-1 and so use the CSS file. You will need to re - save this page as ISO-8859-1 and download the corrected version.

• Best ways to manage the CSS &amp; JS updates?

  I have a CSS and JS file in my library of components, and I have them reference of all of my landing pages. Unfortunately, any time I do a CSS or JS tweak, I have two unsavory options:

  (1) download a new file, and then paste the URL of the new file in each unique landing page

  (2) use the 'update file' feature and wait for 24 to 72 hours for the file spread

  Someone suggested the CSS out of Eloqua hosting and just update here (because the URL is not changed), but that seems risky because it will be outside Eloqua and introduced a new system for a single file of CDN.

  Someone else comes up with a reasonable alternative here? I tried to insert the files in shared content, but unfortunately this feature is not yet supported the < script > tag.

  The two options 1 and 2 above are a huge bear every time I am responsible with a tweak CSS or JS, so I'm curious to know if anyone has a workaround solution that they can recommend.

  If you have a reliable outside hosting/CDN, I would go in that direction. This is what we do and have found to be the best option.

  You can change the Bootstrap default css file, but unless you know what you are doing I would not touch. He is blocked for some reason - it contains many lines of css code that you probably don't understand and if you replace accidentally vital of it parts then the page does not work as it should.

  After having said that if you want to change it, click on the file and make it editable / writing (not recommended)

  What you need to do is to create an another style sheet, bind it to the page AFTER the link to the css Bootstrap file and make changes to this

  I installed custom fonts and they work for most. A subject is not if display correctly, so I tried to change the new code of police using the HR css editor, then the HTML editor. These attempts, however, replaced the css notepad.exe, such as the removal of font names. It seems that the use of notepad.exe is the only way to add additional code to the css (see step 5).   Here are the steps leading to the problem

  1 downloaded and extracted the google font.

  2 double click on each policy separately and installed on the computer.

  3 added each family of fonts in a file of baggage.

  4 using the notepad.exe, edited the css fonts.

  5. Add this code to notepad.exe css to fix a bug in Chrome that prevented showing the new fonts:

  I agree that the file Association should work differently. I always thought that by double-clicking on a CSS should open using what you specify here.

  From my experience, that you configure here is used when you do a right-click of the CSS in the project manager and choose display.

  For you ensure that you end up with what you want is to keep a copy separate from the CSS file and set it in the recipe for the presentation of a single Source.

• Command of the CSS class

  I use 11.1.1.6 JDeveloper and Oracle ADF Skin Editor 11.1.2.3. I have browsed the sites of the community and not found a question / answer on the question, I am facing.

  I was able to create custom in my custom appearance CSS classes and apply them to my project WCP via JDeveloper. Personalized my CSS class (.) HeaderTitle1) is applied to the element of the ADF (outputText) through the styleClass property. (In my browser), I see that my custom class and the integrated ADF class are applied to the outputText component.

  The problem is the ADF integrated class to take my class. Based on CSS rules (see This example), it's because the class of the ADF is set far in the CSS file (or later if loaded in a separate file). I looked at the CSS file in the Chrome developer tools, and I see only 1 CSS file and my custom CSS classes are in the middle of the file with the ADF classes before and after them.

  Question: Is there a way I can control the order of statements in the CSS file? How can I make sure that my custom CSS classes will take precedence?

  Of course, Alejandro. This is actually not an outputText (which is one of our use cases), but by applying a custom style for the goLink component that gives us grief.

  Here is my css:

  Hmm, actually, looks like I solved my problem. Looking at the source of the CSS file, I can see that the HeadingTitle1 class is set AFTER the class af_goLink (which contains the properties I'm afraid with):

    ...
  
    font-size: 24px;
    ...
  
  }
  

  Based on this demo CSS, I thought that the problem was that the class af_goLink defined later in the CSS file, so that it outweighs my custom CSS class, but it looks that it behaves the way that I need / expect.

• Removal of white line in the CSS formatting

  I hope that one of you has experienced many can help a beginner (new!)

  I've been dealing with CSS and build my layout with it instead of tables, following the advice of some of you guys here. He's doing much so far, and I can see why you recommended, but I hit a roadblock.

  At the top of my page, in a div tag, I have my image in the header. Just below that, in a new div, I have an indefinite list of words which I arranged in a single line. Lower than that, again, I have another image.

  What I want is for each of these layers to flow from one to another, without any white space in the middle (my background is white). There is no white space between my list of words that are on a green background, and the image below, but between the top image and block the green background which is my line of words, there is a white line.

  I tried everything in my limited arsenal of "expertise", which amounts to try the margin = 0 tags on the top image and the line of words, but little matter what I try, the white line will not disappear. I've rechecked to be sure, and it is not part of the image. When you insert a picture in html using the CBC, DW automatically adds a white line underneath that you can not delete it in CSS?

  I can put up a screenshot if that helps?

• Is there a way to get rid of the CSS in CS4?

  In my old clunky Macromedia Dreamweaver 4, when I made a table, this is what I got. A plain old ordinary table html, who has worked in all browsers.
  
  Since the information that I insert in my pages are actually data tables, can someone tell me if it is possible to get rid of the "css connection" which makes it impossible for me to continue this previously simple task and just produce simple clean html tables?
  
  I'm not a coder and don't want to be... I use a WYSIWYG editor (so far Dreamweaver) so I don't have to go there... someone forgot why WYSIWYG was invented in the first place? Progress... right.

  There are several menu items to choose from in DWCS4 (Common, layout, forms, Spry, etc.). In the common menu, there is an icon for creating tables. Makes the good old fashioned way...

  Yes, I didn't make me clear. However, if I chose nothing, so I can't click the "pencil" to change.
  But... ah ha! If I select the 'current', instead of 'all' button then I can edit with the Panel. Solved.
