• Mac recommendation please

  I am looking for a replacement facility for my parents in their late 60s. they previously shared a very old macbook pro (15 ", I think), who conked a few weeks ago.

  my mother uses it mainly for browsing the web, candy crush, email, view photos, watch streaming of Korean dramas. My father use it for navigation, excel and word.

  I thought I had them the low-end imac 21 "(1, 6GHz, 1 to), but the comments I read slow performance make me reconsider." anyone with a similar use of the imac would say about its performance please? they do need a better machine, but I don't want them to be confronted with the spinning beach ball more often than necessary, especially on a new computer.

  I am also considering a macbook or macbook air or even the mac mini (but as I won't be there to help with all upwards, something that they can just plug and play may be more convenient.)

  Nothing wrong with the new iMacs. I have heard a lot about slow Mac here. But you can't judge what you read here. It's like a Hospital ER, for most of the people with problems to come here.

  They will use the aircraft mainly at home or on the road? I ask because for what you say they use for an iPad would probably be enough, and if they have a wi - fi connection, you could buy one without a cell phone.

  I am an old user of PS, dating back to 2.5 v, but I'm new to video. My intention is to film sequences, correct it in first and use it in the shows of my creation using Proshow Producer on the Web, combined with the stills. I think it's called Fusion and I like the idea a lot.

  I don't understand the terminology of specifications for the videos, especially the dimensions. For example, in the first, can we successfully combine images whose resolution is 640 x 480 pixels with images with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels?  If the answer is no, which is preferable, large or small numbers, and if it is necessary that all clips are the same, is there a non-destructive conversion mode?  The same question applies to the frames per second (fps).

  You mentioned shooting images 1920 x 1080. combining with stills etc in a show using dreamweaver with fusion?... .quelquechose like that?

  First set you up a project! The project has specifications (predefined settings or you set your own custom settings).

  Say you shoot 1920 x 1080 progressive at 24 fps. You project would (normally) 1920 x 1080 24 p.  Your images fit into this space very well. If you put images 640 x 480 in this chronology, they look tiny.  This is why I suggested that you use photoshop to make a new file at 1920 x 1080 and paste a 640 x 480 image in it... only then you would see what it would look like.  I don't know if that's what you thought, it was funny?

  Keep in mind also, 1920 x 1080 is 640 x 480, 16:9 format is not.  Yet once again, looking at the sample file in photoshop, you can see.

  Now you can do a number of things to handle what you want to do with your show, depending on what you want to do and your assets.  For example, you can do your progressive project 640 x 480 24 fps for your images (they will fill the editing frame... your screen). Then when you put images 1920 x 1080 in project calendar that they look very BIG and you'll notice that it's cropped.  If you are a photoshop file is 640 x 480 and stick a file 1920 x 1080, you will see how much is cropped.  You can use the effect/motion/scale on the fooage from 1920 x 1080 to scale down and adapt to the screen... but because of the aspect ratio, you won't see the image unless you create black bars. In photoshop if you use ' transform what "on the big picture glued to reduce under 640 x 480, you have created... you will see what I mean.

  I know not what your other programs made to your files to make a picture to display and my suspicion is that if you do what I suggest in what precedes, 'create photoshop files to see what I mean'... .you will get a better idea at the outset what you deal with in first... so you can plan ahead and do something close to what you watched pre... what you really want.

• Upgrade recommendations please

  Currently I have a cluster four host sitting at ESX 3.5U4. Earlier in the year, I was about to upgrade to ESX4.0U1. Another project came and he had to wait. Now we fast forward until today and I can see the upgrade happening in the future near semi. But my, how things have changed! I now have a multitude of directions, I can go. I can go ESX 4.0U2, ESX 4.1 or ESXi 4.1.

  I have very limited to the 4.x and ESXi times. No matter what I do, going to 4.x will be a big change. The question I have is the size of a leap to make? Y at - there a big difference between ESX 4.0U2 and ESX 4.1? It of time to bite the bullet ESXi - or would it be?

  Honestly, just talk about operation and reliability, there is no real differences between ESX 4.0U2 (or just ESX 4.0) and ESX 4.1.

  If you use ESX 3.5, is perhaps best to upgrade your 4.1 ESX host directly.  As you say, if you can upgrade to ESX 4.1, upgrading to ESX 4.0U2 would be an unnecessary step.

  In fact, I have some ESX/ESXi hosts on 4.0U1 version and I don't plan to upgrade to version 4.1 in the short term.  Not worth for me.

  However, I have a few ESXi 3.5, and my intention is to upgrade to ESXi 4.1 directly.

  My iphone 6s is a little too small to see detailed information on Safari etc so I am looking to buy a 10 "+ ipad that works for me in places where there may be no Wifi (such as rooms of village/bus)"

  Your only choice is only Wi - Fi or Wi - Fi more cell. The Minis are cheaper than 9.7 "screens and big enough for Safari IMO. You can buy a Wi - Fi only iPad Mini, cheaper units and then use the Hotspot of your phone (if your operator allows) to connect the iPad to cell phone, the least expensive way to do what you want.

• music shift 10 iOS App

  I use an iPhone 6 now and recently updated to iOS 10. Since the update, whenever I try to skip a song on my Apple's music app, there will be a lag after 4-5 seconds until the song going. I hooked using Bluetooth, to THE and USB, but the delay in the response is the same for all 3.

  I must point out that I use the application music from Apple to play the songs I transferred on the iPhone and not streaming.

  I've never had this problem of lag with iOS 9 so I guess it's a problem with the latest iOS. Is there anyone who can help me?

After reading your post, I understand the songs that you have saved for offline through the Apple music listening take about 4-5 seconds before jumping to the next song. I listen to music on the go and jump songs sometimes, so I know it's important that they jump quickly. I'd be happy to help you!

  There are a few steps that I can recommend; Please, try them in the order and test your music application and jumping after each of them. Stop when the problem is resolved.
  

  1. Exit music following the steps described here: force a nearby application on your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch

     Then, restart your iPhone by following these steps: restart your iPad, iPhone or iPod touch

  2. Uninstall and reinstall the music App Instructions can be found here: remove the apps Apple integrated from the home screen on your device iOS with iOS 10
  3. Disconnect you from iTunes and the App Store, then back, following the instructions in this article: log on with another Apple ID on iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

     Signature of the iTunes and the App Store will remove your content recorded for listening offline; After that log you back in, you will need to re - download these items, so I recommend you do this step, then only a Wi - Fi connection is available for free.

  4. Reset settings on your iPhone in settings > general > reset > reset all settings. This will not delete any of your personal data (such as photos, contacts, calendar events, reminders, etc.) but allows to convert customizable settings (as your desktop wallpaper and screen brightness, alert sounds, the settings of Date and time, etc.) to their default values.   If your sound recently stopped working on Windows 8.x or Windows Server 2012 and you suspect an update of Windows is involved, then look like! This is the troubleshooting guide that will explain how to solve the problem!

  Explanation:

  Currently, there is a Windows update that may cause the sound on your computer to stop working. The update is KB2962407, and it is now an "Important" update This means that it will be installed by Windows Update unless hide you it.

  This thread also covers generic sound troubleshooting which can solve the problems of "no sound".

  Before the update itself, since an update of Windows cannot be the culprit, there are a few troubleshooting can be done.

  A round of troubleshooting:

  1. run the Audio Troubleshooting in Windows 8 may solve the problem. It does not contain the possibility of eliminating any parameter that affects sound. Here are some steps on how to perform this troubleshooting:

  (a) hold down the key "Windows" and "R" and type "Troubleshooting" and then press ENTER.

  (b) a window will open. On the left, click on "Show all", then "Audio playback".

  (c) click on 'Advanced' and run it as an administrator. Then click on 'Next' to complete the process.

  2 try to create a new user account. The changes forced by the update that is likely to affect only a single user. This HP document shows you how to create a new user in the section "creating a new account in Windows 8": users and connections (Windows 8) account management

  First of all, you can try the hotfix package content in this document from Microsoft, specifically at the KB2962407 address: RT of Windows, Windows 8 and Windows Server 2012 cumulative hotfix: June 2014

  If that doesn't help, then uninstall the update of Windows and then hide it, are the only way to eliminate the question if she caused by this update. Here is the procedure to uninstall the update:

• Upgrade of the fourth Gen Time Capsule

  I have one Capsule 2 TB fourth generation model A1409) and it turned out to be very reliable.  Unfortunately, the installed HARD drive is finally running out of storage space and so I'm looking to upgrade.  I searched the web and found a lot on the Time Capsule hard drive upgrade, but the results are usually on other models and with smaller discs etc..

  If possible, I would like to install a reliable 4 TB drive in my fourth Gen T.C. to be used as a primary backup for my MacBook Pro retina and my machine to Windows 10 ASUS T300 CHI 2-in-1.

  Are 4 TB of HARD drive is compatible with the fourth Gen Time Capsule?  And someone has nested together that they can recommend please?

  I keep reading that the Hitachi drives are the best players generally ultra low failure rate, but all Hitachi drives seem to be 7200 rpm disks and I have also read that drives to 5400 RPM 'Green' are the best for the time Capsule as they run cooler and consume less energy?

  I also read that drives Apple used to use the Hitachi drives but now sometimes use Wester Digital Caviar Green, who seem to have fail decently low too, although not as good as Hitachi?

  If I install a reliable 4 TB of HARD drive, I'll be very happy.

  4 TB hitachi (but they belong no longer to hitachi, it is now divided between Toshiba and WD) are a green car. IE 5400 RPM.

  But the 4 TB WD Green are very good readers. These are now available in sizes up to 6 TB... Although I'd stick to 4 TB because it's as much data as you want to lose in a go. One of these drives work ok in the TC.

  Remember that all drives fail eventually. If you use the TC for something else that backups... also use a secondary backup as well.

  Also, Windows is not super great on a TC... It reads the disks in FAT32 and have 4 GB file limits. It is too slow... much more slow than buying a good NAS drive, or an external drive that can be in NTFS format.

  The drive used in the Gen4 is a WD Green. If it worked very well for now... That's already 3-4years or more, then it should be ok.

  Note the Gen4 may die suddenly... do not think that will happen if the real TC gives out.

  I have a NV RND4000 V1 1 + aka and I need to replace my disks 2. Most, if not all readers on the compatibility list are no longer available due to their age. I need 2G capacity. Are the Red of WD drives in the appropriate series? Other recommendations, please.

  Diagnosis of the level 3 Support my 1 + NV Netgear has determined that two discs 1 and 2 have problems and need to be replaced. Driives 3 and 4 appear to be intact. They instructed me to clone the drive 1. Yes I have a backup.

  I am aware of the limit of 2 TB.

• All-in-one HP Photosmart C7280: black ink on back of paper edges

  For about 3 months now, when I load the paper tray there are black ink on the back edges right of paper - no where else, just here.  I have completed the process of realignment 3 times and cleaned printer heads.  Black spots still there.

  Any suggestions - I'm going through a lot of paper!
