Fix.  POP3 means that all your e-mail messages are downloaded to you're a file .pst on your hard drive and in most cases they are deleted from your mail server.

With regard to the question of if you configure with IMPA, it depends on your assistance of IMAP4 e-mail provider, check it please you are their website and see if they provide the IMAP4 service.

  • Sync of Smartphones blackBerry with outlook 2007

I'm able to sync with Outlook 2007.  If I add a number to my phone, it will be added to my contacts in outlook.  However, this is only one way.  If I add contacts in outlook (addresses, phone numbers or e-mail address) that they won't sync to my phone. Any suggestions?

You must change sync settings to allow two-way, synchronization of Desktop Manager. In the clock go to configure > synchronization > sync. Run the wizard for the calendar... a step defines synchronization for two way synchronization and should get everything up and running as you want.

  • Email synchronization to Smartphones blackBerry with Outlook 2007

I am absolutely new to Blackberry, so I hope there is a solution to my problem.  I was syncing my device with Outlook and Calendar Contacts tasks & Memo Pad all sync using Desktop Manager, but there is no possibility to synchronize email.  As the strength of the Blackberry is its email management I know I must be missing something.  I am an individual user, and that's why I use BIS.  I've just migrated from a Palm tree where I had no such problem.  In addition, the e-mail program will not synchronize wireless.

A way to fix this takes a few steps. They may need to be modified depending on how you use your email and if you have multiple addresses among other things, but most of what follows can be useful:

1 using the webclient Blackberry (the correct link to use would be provided by your service provider) you can manage your email addresses for your Blackberry.

One of the options provided in the webclient service allows you to automatically bcc to another e-mail address you have, all emails you send from the Blackberry. This gives you a way to actually get a copy in your Outlook. You can then set a rule in Outlook to move all emails that come from your Blackberry in your 'sent' folder, or any other, you choose to do this.

If you use only one address you can bcc yourself and then put in place a (also available in your webclient) filter to avoid duplicates, back to your Blackberry.

    2. When you send emails from Outlook, bcc those you want to appear on your Blackberry directly to your

    Blackberry e-mail address.

The final result is not exactly the same email synchronization would achieve, but I found that it gives me useful information on what email I sent him, if I use Outlook or my Blackberry at the same time.

I hope that helps a little...

  • Problems syncing of Smartphones blackBerry with Outlook 2007 calendar

I got my Curve 8300 for about a month now and have had no problems with synchronization until today.  Some how my appointments Outlook have been removed, but they remain on my curve.  I tried different configurations of synchronization to transfer these data to my curve in Outlook.  After synchronization, the objects remain on my curve but are not available on Outlook.  If I manually enter an appointment on the curve, it syncs, but the other past and future appointments will not.

I also tried a hard reset, but not luck.

    Any ideas?

Thank you.  This process worked.  Please note: I added a step to outside between #1 and #2.  Before deleting the database of the calendar, I tried a one-way synchronization and appointments in calendar of device transferred to Outlook without problem.  If I had not done this, all my data calendar for 2009 would have already disappeared.  Would have taken it home Manual of all calendar data.

  • Slow blackBerry smartphones to synchronize Outlook 2007 <>- DM 4.6

My clocks are running 4 minutes even if no records have been changed.

    BlackBerry 9000 4.6.0.167

    DM 4.6

    Win XP

    Outlook 2007, 2000 contacts

Synchronization is displayed to review all records in the contacts of the device twice ('reading', and then 'transformation'), even if no changes have been made.

I just spent an hour by inserting in the escalation process to get an answer to the question of the slow sync.

Function of Blackberry technical support, starting with DM 4.3 consistency checking occurs much more on each synchronization.  Each record is checked once again, even the records without modification.  Then your synchronization time depend on the size of your database, not the number of recent changes.  Apparently the Blackberry is aspiring to the levels of corruption much lower than its competitors.

So get used to slow the synchronizations.  A good chance of the brush upwards on your Spanish or read this book self-help.

  • Sync Blackberry with Outlook 2007 on Vista

Hello. A brief introduction before my question. Recently, I tried Outlook to XP on my computer which uses Vista and I was not able to sync Outlook with my Blackberry curve calendar. I looked at Outlook 2007 and it is certified for use on Vista, so I expect that my blackberry should synchronize with outlook. My question is; has anyone who uses the OS Vista and Outlook 2007 has sync issues? Thank you

    HELO papabear72,

Thanks for posting on the Microsoft answers Forum.

I checked several Forums Blackberry and Outlook forums and you should be able to sync without problem.
You will need to install Blackberry Desktop manager and synchronization with Outlook 2007. I saw where it syncs with Outlook 2010 beta.

There may be some problems for some people with the Outlook calendar.
You can check the forum Blackberry here or by mail to the Outlook forum listed above.

  • Using Smartphones BlackBerry 8330 blackBerry keyboard to access the company's repertoire

    Hey all,.

When I call my phone company # my company BlackBerry 8330, one of my options is to press the sign # to access the company's repertoire.

But... my keyboard is not this way of working.  It takes the first letter that corresponds to a number, I think I've hit.  The phone that I can find in the office that works is a Razr, that mimics a real phone with the 3 letters/key keyboard of course.

I hope that there is an easy solution for this.

    Thank you

    J

Press # when it says press the button #.

Spell a name, say 'SMITH', press on and hold down the ALT key (lower left) while typing the letters you need.

  • Questions of Smartphones Blackberry 8330 to blackBerry with the messengers, e-mail and internet

I took my Blackberry 8330 to the Sprint Store twice this week and they said that Blackberry made updates so that everyone with blackberrys are struggling.  They said last week that Blackberry would be completed with these updates in 24 hours and my phone would be back to normal.  Is it true that Blackberry servers are updated down and current?  My emails come late, then all at the same time.  I can't have conversations on my yahoo messenger or Messenger of blackberry without getting kicked or receive messages really late.  I can't get on the internet, half of the time.  The majority of the time I don't have a complete service.  The shop Sprint told me that only 40% of blackberry users are affected by these "improvements" but I don't know one person who has problems so far.  Can you please give me some answers?  I'm desperate!

No, there was no problem of data declared with RIM in the last 24 hours.

I know that Sprint had downtime on data of BlackBerry a few days ago, but that looked like Tuesday or Wednesday, I forgot.

In any case, no problems being reported anywhere now that I've seen.

  • Stopped syncing of Smartphones blackBerry w / outlook

I have a 8310 which has been sync very well with my Outlook 2007 calendar MC (on XP SP3) - until last week.  I've changed nothing, I know - other than a month + it there, updated the BB device aware, but it worked very much after that upgrade.

Last week my entries I had in my synced outlook on my BB, but have then been demolished to outllook and I can't sync them in outlook. I changed the settings of synchronization for one-way synchronization and two-way - nothing seems to get back them to my outlook.

I just tried updating destop manager for 5.0.1.37 - still nothing.

    Thank you.

Figured it FINALLY... somehow had multiple "calendars" - don't know how and when this happened, always just used one... "moved" all items to the email binding with my outlook, did a sync and all calendar items are back in my outlook... VERY strange to... but me oh well, it's back to work.  Thanks for the reply

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Blackberry 8330 - E-mail Delete discounts on Blackberry and computer at home

    I currently have a Blackberry 8330, v4.5.0.186 (Platform 3.4.0.59).

I used to be asked to delete e-mails power off my blackberry and Windows Mail from my computer at home.  I think that after the update to Blackberry, this option was no longer available, which forces me to read emails on my Blackberry, then having to remove them from my home computer.

Does anyone know of a way I can restore this feature on my Blackberry?

    Thanks in advance.

When you say "update BlackBerry' say you you updated the software or you updated the device from an older device?

When you open an email, scroll upward in the headers.  Next to "Receipt using" lists the e-mail address, or should I say unknown?

If it says 'unknown', you simply return your service books.

Go to the icon on your device which indicates the configuration of e-mail (manage Internet Email on some devices) and go to the configuration of your e-mail.  There is an option to "return the directories of service."

If it shows your email address then it is not bad to go and return service even when directories but then you will need to:

Go to Messages > Options > email reconciliation.

Choose the Message Service in question (there may be multiple ones if you have more than one e-mail address set up on top of the unit.

Then change ' remove the ' to 'ask '.

  • Used to synchronize synchronize my Blackberry Curve 8330 Smartphones blackBerry with Outlook and Yahoo contacts and calendars.

Used to synchronize my Blackberry Curve 8330 to sync with my Outlook & Yahoo contacts and calendars.  There is no error message, it just don't do.  Any suggestions?

You can upgrade to 4.7 WITHOUT Media Manager.  Some people have problems with the MM.  It's also a great Setup and it is easier to use the drag-and - drop in windows Explorer with the lit on your BB mass storage mode.

Personally, I use DTM 4.6 without MM and have no problem.

  • Tour of blackBerry 9630 - entries in the address book multiple Smartphones / synchronize with Outlook 2007

All data in Outlook is OK.  After the initial synchronization with Tower, everything looks OK.  After the opening address book two or three times, some entries

are fine – others are duplicated 4 X (categories have disappeared in all the dups).

I tried to overwrite the data on the device with Outlook data, but the problem resurfaces every time.

    That is what it is?

    Hello jaking777,

    You can try the following:

Backup your data to the device as shown here. (We would not need the backup, but it is recommended any time you make a change to the data on the device).

Delete folder Intellisync on your PC as shown here. (This will reset your configuration of PIM in the Desktop Manager).

Clear the address book on the BlackBerry as described here only the task 2. (This will remove all contacts from the device in order to ensure that your data in Outlook are first updated.)

Go back to the Desktop Manager and reconfigure your synchronization as shown here , then test the synchronization once more.

    See you soon!

  • Sync blackBerry 8130 smartphone calendar with Outlook 2007 problems

I have Sprint 8130... and everything is OK... until now.  I'm used to Active sync (from my old HTC Mogul), DO not software RIM.  When I sync has had a week before, the first time, everything was great (accept for the confusion, I'm still about where the Favorites to explore inet went).  Today, I connected for the second time.  Everything seemed fine, except that now it is more most of my calendar items in Outlook.  They are always in my Pearl, well.

I tried to synchronize the other way, but nothing helped.  Ideas?

So, this does not work, and I found myself on a different board where I found the answer... it's a bug of software known with DM since 12/07.  This happens when you have multiple addresses email set up on your phone.  It can work very well for the weeks/months, then one day it is.  It can happen to anyone is your provider.  RIM has yet to set the sofware issue (unless the Altel.81 fixed it...).  As a result of him having "multiple calendars" and a single rear sync to Outlook.  The only way to solve the problem was as follows:

    (a) make sure Outlook is COMPLETELY up-to-date. Manually enter the calendar items on the BB that no synchronized to Outlook.

    (b) on your BB, look at the calendar > Options > and you will see the different available calendars. Back to the main calendar page and press Menu and you can view the calendars of each e-mail profile. Decide which e-mail profile you want your calendar entries to reside in virtue, and that is your main email address for this.

    (c) go to Options > Advanced > Service books. Highlight on AND remove references to addresses other than your MAIN e-mail address e-mail.

    (d) go to Options > advanced > default Services and make sure that ONLY a primary email you wish to figure in the list.

    (e) now connect your BB to your PC via USB and launch Desktop Manager.

    (f) now with your Outlook completely updated manually, follow these steps:
    1. connect your BB via USB to your PC and Open Desktop Manager on your PC.
    2. open Backup/Restore > advanced.
    3. in Advanced Options, you will see a split pane screen. You will not see anything in the left pane. In the right pane will be databases currently on your handheld.
    4. turn highlight on the side right your address book database (OR the calendar of your database), and then click the button CLEAR at the bottom of this screen.
    5. once it is finished, close the window of backup/restore and check the device to ensure that the address book (or calendar) is properly empty.
    6. now, re - sync the contacts (or calendar information) Outlook (or your database) and you should be set to go.

    (g) with all this than complete and your calendar appearing in BB... Remove the battery on your BB (lit) and restart the BB. This should return the Service directories for other e-mail addresses that you had deleted earlier. If you find after an hour they do not return, return service from your provider directories BIS site.

    (h) return to Options > Advanced > default Services and make sure that your email address is always e-mail by default. You want to leave your main display on the screen and save.

I hope that it might help other people.  It comes on all the calendar synchronization issues relating to this question being (except obvious as user problems do not synchronize all appointments).

    Thanks for your time yesterday.

  • Problem blackBerry Smartphones with MS Outlook 2007 calendar synchronization

    Hi all

Just to move from a Windows Mobile to a BB 9000 phone, so I'm new to this forum. Please forgive me if this topic has already been discussed, but I'm just finding my way :-)

I live in Cyprus and agreed with local BIS service offered here. So I synchronize with my PC via a USB cable. Everything seems to work very well, apart from the calendar. It appears to sync, I asked to accept changes, which I do, but the new features do not appear in my Outlook calendar. Am I missing something simple?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you guys.

    In Outlook:

Main menu > click Tools and then click e-mail accounts and follow the wizard from there to set up your Outlook e-mail accounts.

If you need help on this, I suggest you look at the forums of users of Microsoft Outlook.
