  I upgraded my version of software from 8320's to v4.5.0.81 recently. When I open my address book, there is a wide space between the contact list. This is eqivalent to double-spaced typing in Microsoft Word. I am able to see only 6 names to atime on the screen. Any suggestions to fix this? Thank you.

  There is unfortunately no way to disable the new look of the address book. This is the way that all the books addresses with OS 4.5 and higher. You would have to downgrade the OS less than 4.5 to go back to the old look.

  I have a problem with the blackberry curve 9220 or laser broom handle (do not know what to call exactly - phone terminology). I saw the light while turning on the laser phone and then later disappears.  For this reason, I am unable to navigate the screen through the broom handle. It becomes very difficult to make phone calls, nor for any use by saying. Y at - it something wrong and need urgent attention?

  I have problems with the Facebook app. I have the Blackberry 3 G (9330) through Sprint and I updated my Blackberry 5.0 to 6.0 software. Since then, the (Mobile site) Facebook will allow me to type in up to about 20 characters at the presentation of my status or by sending an e-mail. Once there I hit around 20 characters, the screen freezes and then he boots me out of the FB (Mobile site), and accesses the bookmark page. I reinstalled that App thought he may have not installed properly and can affect the Facebook Mobile site, but I'm still having the same problem. However, when I use the Facebook app, I am able to update my status and send by e-mail with the help of more than 20 characters that is allowed in the Facebook (Mobile site). Is there something I can do to get this corrected? I prefer the mobile site because I can see the anniversaries of my friend on the homepage, and it offers more options than the FB App.

  After playing with the settings, I found that if you have "assistance entered through keyboard" under Options/set to predictive typing, it interfere with any data that are given in the Facebook browser and do freeze. I changed the setting to direct instead of predictive and this has solved the problem. Thanks for your help!

  I tried several days get my PRIV to connect with my bluetooth and phone/book music and the only way to make it work is to disable the function of my phone. When I try to connect my BB PRIV to my car, there will be des-1001,-1002, etc., next to the bluetooth signal and after a few seconds he suddenly resets my car bluetooth system. There is no new update for my car system and I have never had a problem with other Android, BlackBerry, or even Apple devices. It's the first time that this problem occurs and it's phone contacts which are somehow overloading my car infotament system. However there is no way for me to specifically stop the phone contact because even though I do in the bluetooth on the phone settings, every time I get in my car it resets the permissions and tries to connect again AGAIN and AGAIN the cause of the problem. Please let me know if my phone is broken software wise, or if the application contact break you guys used somehow some systems of infotament of the telephone directories of car etc. Cause the phone book may never load and I tried several times to make it work.

  I put the last seven digits of my vin number in the search and downloaded the update to a USB plugged on the center console of my car. Once it was done I tried to connect and to my surprise my contacts list appeared. I pulled the top of Spotify and it played without screaming and cutting. I tried a phone call, and it worked as well. I want to test a little on my lunch hour but well again.

  Hi and welcome to the Forums!

  I suggest the following, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2, each should result in a message to your BB to come):

  (1) registry HRT

  • Homescreen > Options > Advanced Options > host Routing Table > (it matter little what line is current) > sign up now

  (2) Service reference books

  • KB02830 Send the directories for the BlackBerry Internet Service

  (3) restart to take batt

  • Each time a random strange behavior or slow creeps, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

  I hope that will move things again for you! If this isn't the case, then you should contact your carrier for the support and formal help.

  The device memory is not "saved." You must synchronize or transfer these files. This is just a multimedia card shipped. It is always better to use a separate media card.

  If a battery pull did not tour (and I hope that your phone is powered when you removed the battery, otherwise it will do nothing to help you), reload your operating system is the next logical step.

  To do this, connect your phone to your PC via USB and open BlackBerry Desktop Software.  Once your phone has been recognized, click device at the top of the software, and then restore the menu drop down.  Choose the most recent restore point and the recharge.  That should do the trick.  If this isn't the case, you should return to your carrier for replacement.

  Can someone tell me how to "unmask" an icon? I accidentally hid my internet "globe" icon, and now I can not for the life of me understand how to get it back! I'm sure that it's simple, but I just got this BB yesterday, and I still don't know all the new stuff that did not have the Pearl!

  On the screen with all icons, press the Menu key (to the left of the trackball) and click SHOW ALL for there to be a checkmark next to it.

  Then search through the screen, it should be 'Phantom' light or more transparent than the other icons.

  I think that the aid supposed to start in your phone/Call Log icon. From there, the menu and go to Options, then General Options. You can set the default call volume. Also during a call, if you press the "Volume up" button to increase the volume it does not increase?
