Reconfiguration of the database login procedure.

Hi all

If my name of database server and IP address change, to reconfigure the connection to data base of P6 us customer.

I need to run dbconfigpv.cmd.

After the execution of this file and enter the details of the new database to the next step that we must choose between two options below:

1. existing configuration

2 create a new configuration

Do I need to make any other change?

In P6 optional client, I simply need to create a new configuration?

Hello

Once you have run through dbconfigpv.cmd, it will update file BREBootstrap.xml with the new details of database.

When you run adminpv.cmd he looks at it and connect to the new database.

Once you have connected to adminpv.cmd you need to update the following:

Configurations of-> Primavera P6 Configuration-> data base-> Instance [1]-> class driver & URL-> URL

You might have a slightly different name of "Primavera P6 Configuration"

You can have multiple instances [x] in a configuration - check the URL for each of them.

BTW to change a field either triple click or highlight it and press it F2.

Concerning

    I use authentication APEX to allow users in the enterprise application. I would like to hitch on the authentication mechanism and essentially write an audit record which shows that connected when, on demand. What is the best way to do it?

    The other issue is that I have to do the same thing when a user disconnects in... What we want to do is try to build some sort of card for some clerical users that triggers these events based.

    Edit the nav bar item, disconnection and under target, set the target on the page Type and enter the page that contains your audit logout with redirection procedure to the logout url - in this way they will be directed to your "Logout" page but as soon as they get there, the logout process is run and the header then redirects them to the real disconnection procedure who does the logout and sends them to the login page.

  • Check the installed oracle components are actually used in the database

    I got a new database I have to optimize. So I think to delete some installed components that I think are not be used somehow in the database (IE procedures calls etc.). I see a whole bunch of components as "ODD", 'ORDIM', which I think are not used, but previous DBAs have installed them. So, is it possible to make sure that no part of the database are actually using these components so that I can remove these components. Also, what are your expert comments on it?

    Is it a production or a development environment? If an object is not used then this isn't necessarily a problem (performance wise) unless it is either cluttering up your dictionary or raising concerns regarding the consumption of unnecessary space. Personally, I would recommend that it is preferable to resolve what is to be used / taken of resources. It is maybe once a year report or a few old utility out once a year, the best monitoring, why those things are there.

    If you go down the road of a fall, rather than drop anything immediately block accounts for an agreed period to ensure that the scheme is not used & check all references other schemas of objects in the schema that you intend to drop, potentially of audit to check if they are being called by other patterns / verification dba_dependencies between schemas and objects using a hierarchical query to check the sub-levels.

    There are also quite a few standard Oracle components that are installed by default that have interdependencies and not necessarily be used in the dictionary (control dba_features_usage_statistics)

  • Calling stored procedures with parameters with the database connectivity Toolkit

    Hi all

    I'm new to the forum and struggling to find a solution to a particular problem I have in this respect, using the LabVIEW Database Connectivity Toolkit on a project, I am currently working on my work.  I have a database in which I tables and stored procedures with parameters.  Some of these stored procedures have input, output and return parameters.

    I tried to follow this example, but to no avail: http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/07FD130746083E0686257300006326C4?OpenDocument

    Such a stored procedure I am working on the implementation is named "dbo.getAllowablePNs", running "SELECT * from DeviceType" (DeviceType is the table).  In this case, it requires no input parameter, it has an output parameter that generates the table [cluster] and has a return parameter that returns an integer value (status code for execution) to show if an error occurred.  The DeviceType table has 3 columns; ID (PK, int not null), PN (nvarchar ((15), null) and NumMACAddresses (int, null).)  I have surpassed many examples and I talk to the support OR try to implement this and similar procedures stored in LabVIEW but have not been successful.  I am able to connect to the database with the VI of open connection without error, but spin in some confusion as a result of this step.  I then try to use the VI of parameter query create to call the stored procedure and set the parameters.  I guess I would then use the Set parameter value for each parameter that is connected to the entry of parameters on the previous query with parameters VI VI?  I am also having some confusion during and after these steps as well.  I would greatly appreciate advice or suggestions that anyone could have in this situation because I am not a SQL expert.  Also, I would be happy to provide more information that might be useful.

    Kind regards

    Jon

    Here's what I use to do this.  I think I had to change him create parameterized query VI for him to work.  There is a post on the forum about this somewhere.

  • procedure to call 'iexplore.exe' of the database

    I currently have a routine that calls "iexplore.exe" form - mainly to display PDF documents and images - using jj. APP_begin (en) (in SHAPES).

    Asked me to do this generally available capacity by putting a procedure on the database.

    I have searched but did not find any similar packaging.

    Is it still possible?

    It's even easier. With Apex, you are already in your browser. No need to open the browser of forms.
    Apex, it is just a link HTML in the file.

  • Redirect some users with the login procedure

    Hello guys of the Forum.

    is it possible to redirect specific users, once they connect.
    I think on page 101, the login procedure.

    P_SESSION_ID = > v ('APP_SESSION').
    P_FLOW_PAGE = >: APP_ID | » : 1'
    );
    end if;

    But this way always lead me to page 1, rather than page 425

    Do you have ideas or other possible solution?

    What about Stefan

    Hello:

    A solution is proposed in this post Re: logon username determines the page that opens, how can I achieve this?

    Another way is to have your login page always go to a set of pages. In this page, you create a process before header which will then redirect users to their assigned pages.

  • problem reconfigure everything. in the replication after the database crash recovery

    Dear friends, I have little problem in replication,.
    I have 2 databases DB1 and DB2 configured as Multimaster replication and My DB1 is master def. Now my master got DB2 database crashed and replication topology displayed in red color.
    So I again created DB2 database. So I tried to bring this new DB2 replication again some of the operations being on my site of master def.
    So the problem is that I couldnot stop replication
    Can anyone suggest me how can I reconfigure again back in replication without removing the current group of rep

    I tried suspend replication by Lee. intervention but couldnot

    Start
    () dbms_repcat.suspend_master_activity
    gname = > 'REPMG');
    end;

    can someone solution
    Note:
    my database got crashed and I recreated the database and made available in the position while he was just before the crash

    Even if 'create you' repadmin and links from the database, there is no information about the configuration of replication (repgroup (s), repobjects etc.) in the database. Also, of course, the deferred transaction queue has no entry.

    You must configure replication scratch 'from '.

  • Export data from the database to excel file using the procedure

    Hello

    I need to export data from database to oracle 10 g for the excel file, I try this code:

    First, I create directory to the user sys and give permition to user that I'm working on it
    create or replace directory PALPROV_REPORTS as 'c:\temp';

    grant read, write on directory PALPROV_REPORTS to user12 ;
    then I run this code
    declare
        output utl_file.file_type;
    begin
        output := utl_file.fopen( 'user12' , 'emp1.slk', 'w',32000 );
        utl_file.put_line(output, 'line one: some text');
        utl_file.fclose( output );
    end;
    the problem appears as

    Notice that I use the operating system windows as a client and a linux as a server database

    The file will be written to the database server or your GNU / linux and I'm quite sure, there is no folder named "c:\temp" on linux. It will probably be ' / tmp' on a unix server.

    And open the file, you must give the name logic directory 'PALPROV_REPORTS' it instead of the user name "utilisateur12".

  • PS Installation: Engine command line Application error - could not sign the database < SID > PS user

    Hi all

    I have this problem, tried all means but couldn't solve it. I'm installing peoplesoft on my laptop. PS HCM 9.2 and peopletools 8.53.

    I followed all the procedures explained in the installation guide 8.53 (little missed - such as running app engine after creation of the database). I installed the application server, process schdueler, Web server for my instance and successfully connected to PIA. But I see errors from the compiler Peoplecode as first thing after the connection. Analyzed and found that this is due to lack of a few steps after the creation of the database such as the importation of PPLTLS84CUR, PPLTLS84CURDEL and race engines of demand and the additional dms scripts given in table of installation. (Please correct me if I'm wrong!)

    So I loaded PPLTLS84CUR, PPLTLS84CURDEL, PT84TBLSPC built the project, ran grant.dms and rarest dms as stated in the guide, started with the drivers of demand. I gave order below:

    ETAS - CD PSHCM CT - ORACLE - CO PS - CP PS R INSTALL - I UPGPT850PTFP

    It gives me below error:

    D:\PT8.53\bin\server\WINX86 > ETA - CD PSHCM - CT ORACLE - PS - CP PS r INSTALL CO

    HAVE UPGPT850PTFP

    Failure of LoadLibraryA() in pscompat.dll to 'PSORA64.dll': reason = 193

    Error sign on

    Type of database: 7 (ORACLE)

    The database name: PSHCM

    Name of the server:

    OperID: PS

    ConnectID: people

    The process instance: 0

    Reason: Could not sign database PSHCM with PS user

    But with the same credentials PS/PS given in psprcs.cfg I can start the process schduler, login in the application, or same PIA Designer.

    Please let me know if I'm missing something here. Even tried with SYSADM, but no luck.

    Thank you

  • Manually change the database of Photos?

    Is it possible to manually edit the database of Photos?

    I was diagnosing a problem that surfaced after initially migrating my library, iPhoto photo some time ago.  It seems that a large number of photos in the iPhoto library had wrong file paths.  The pictures themselves were there, but iPhoto had an error in the paths of files.  (This happened probably years of updates, transfers to different machines, etc.  It is a very old and very large library).

    I used a third-party tool 3 to begin to correct the problem in the iPhoto library, and so far, that seems to be promising.  This approach however, kill my library of Photos and re-import to iPhoto.  Which seems a bit risky for me, maybe lose pictures added since the migration (which is not bad), since I'm not really sure how interaction with iCloud will manage this attempt.

    But it presents to me unless I am able to inspect and change some of the data that the readers of the library of Photos directly, so maybe I can apply a fix directly without having to re - migrate.  It seems that after the XML files for libraries, but there may be another approach, that I could use to directly modify the photo library?  All I really need to do is change some paths that point to pictures.

    Here's a post by user Pascal MaH describing how he managed to modify an iPhoto database.  Maybe you can use the technique to alter a database of Photos.  As usual, don't forget to have a backup current library before you try:

    Re: iPhoto 11 referenced library problems

    July 27, 2011 16:28 (in response to Terence Devlin)

    YES!

    I finally managed to get my iPhoto library!

    But it has not been easy. I had to hack into the database file that you want to put in place good things.

    After much trial and error, here is the procedure I came to, that finally worked for me (use at your own risk):

    0 make sure you do enough safeguards so as to revert to the previous state if something goes wrong!

    1 make a copy of your photo library in iPhoto [Show Package Contents]/Database/apdb/Library.apdb on your desktop.

    This file contains most of the necessary data for the management of your data in iPhoto.

    2. open this file using a SQLite database manager.

    I've used Navicat 9.1, which has features nice import-export. For direct editing, basic 2.0 is may be easier.

    3. open the RKMaster table.

    This table contains all the records for the individual photos in your library.

    4 fix the path of each of your photo files in the imagePath for their course filepath column.

    It contains the path of your photo files at the time they were imported and is not updated by iPhoto, even if you have moved your files photo somewhere else.

    If you have thousands of ways to correct, a good idea is to export this column in a text (including column modelId for SEO) file and to correct the paths using the substring function search & replace in your favorite text editor. Do not forget to re - import data properly corrected using column modelId as references.

    5. If necessary, correct, in the same way, the content of the column fileVolumeUuid to the value of the drive that currently contains your picfiles.

    If so, get this value given a PIC that was recently imported from this player.

    6. If your drive name has changed, also to correct its name in the name column of the RKVolume table.

    Identify the appropriate record taking into account its uuid obtained previously.

    7. If you are satisfied with your work, leave the database, program management and restore Library.apdb to its original inside your iPhoto library location.

    Keep the old somewhere in case something goes wrong.

    8 run iPhoto to see if your work is successful!

    At this point, you might consider the construction of the library (hold down alt - cmd at the launch of iPhoto) and choose repair the iPhoto library database (make sure to let him rebuild the AutoSave iPhoto library database disabled!). This could correct some possible unconsistencies resulting from your changes. Also, a good thing would be to rebuild all thumbnails. If iPhoto don't you do not bug to locate files during this process, you may have done your work right! If this is not the case, go back to step 1.

    As said, it worked for me, without visible inconsistencies or side effects to be noticed in the behaviour of iPhoto (at least for now). But perhaps some knowledgable people could comment on and improve this process, and a database script guru can also help automate this. Please comment.

    Lessons learned (how I understand things as far as I know):

    A. Library.apdb stores the original drive and the path to the picture at the time files wherever they were imported. It is not changed because the files are moved.

    B. some other data (BLOB Binary?) are used to track the files to their actual location. Therefore, it seems OK to move photo files once they have been imported.

    C. Unfortunately, these other data are broken, if the file is re-created (even with the same content and location), for example with one based on files backup and restore (Time Machine).

    (D) in this case, iPhoto is unable to repair the file if its drive and path does not match the one when the file is imported, stored in the database. Also, there is no mechanism in iPhoto to correct these data.

    (E) therefore, it is very important to import photo files in iPhoto only when they are already in their final location! Otherwise, your iPhoto library won't survive a Time Machine backup and restore! (A disk block-based backup might work... I don't know).

    F. ... And Apple should really, really solve this problem! (Correcting the filepath to the current location of the file and stored at least when the database is repaired, and by offering at least some basic file options reconnection).

    I have not tried so I can't confirm or deny its effectiveness.

  • Using aliases for the indicators, controls, procedures and calculated channels

    Hello

    I noticed that aliases do not appear in the workspace for the controls and indicators and procedures system Explorer and see calculated. Is there a way for them to appear? I need to use aliases because I like my definition of the system to control several test systems (which have different CAN report names). Otherwise my system definition would break every time I go to another CAN the database. I thought that the inability to address limited to the configurable alias controls add on, but it seems that VeriStand natively cannot address the areas I would like to also well done right click. Any recommendations would be welcome.

    Thank you.

    You are right that you cannot use alias in a file system definition for mapping purposes. It is an area that we hope to improve in the future. The initial design of alias was to serve as a public interface for the workspace, profiles of stimulus and so on. However, it is certainly a use case valid to be used as an interface in a system definition.

    A possible solution would be to create a set of user channels that play the public role of your interface in your system definition. Always use your user channels in all procedures, calculated channels and so on. Map your CAN channels on these channels to the user. Whenever you update YOUR database, you must remap the new CAN channels to the appropriate user channel. You can also automate this activity by importing a file delimited by tabs on the mappings page. The one drawback here is that your target will take a little more time to deal with these mappings.

  • Make a call to the database

    From the outset, I apologize for my lack of knowledge about databases and database connectivity kit.  I am struggling through it, with my team and make advance slow progression.

    We are finally able to connect to an Oracle (11g) database with database connectivity kit (LV2015) and I successfully read some data using the select VI.  I'm pretty impressed by the way in which it works and as the integration, this will provide for my project.  The problem is that my team is very nervous about an application of part 3rd reading and writing to their database tables.  Their concern is to corrupt data, expecially when writing.

    They would rather make me a call to the database using the API.  For starters, they gave me a test script that would send a message once received by the database.  The script is the following:

    sy_common.send_mail ('[email protected]'

    , "[email protected]".

    "Database connection has worked"

    "You have successfully called a LabView database procedure."

    ,'[email protected]'

    null

    "text/html");

    Is it possible to run a script with one of the database connectivity tool screws?

    If it works, the next step would be to have several calls that could read and write data using API to return the equipment to communicate with the database according to the needs.

    Yes, look at him "create parameterized query VI.  Specify the name of the procedure that the text of the query and then build the table of parameters with your input values.  Stored procedure set to true.

    At least this is how it works with MSSQL.  I'm not familiar with Oracle, but it should work the same way on all platforms.
