  I don't know what you mean by "just on board the window" but drag and drop is the method accedpted using the Vista software.  If you use a different software, you will need to contact them if it is not working properly because we don't know anything about.

• Carpet * a UJ831S burning speed has dropped sharply to 2 x!

  What can I do? I tried to burn a dvd with Nero and the authorized maximum burning speed was 2 x. I tried with different media and different software, but the problem was there. InfoTool indicates that burn my drive max speed is 2 x. DVD Decrypter says x 16. Sound recording now burn at 2 x. I formatted my drive and reinstalled win XP Pro + SP2 and Nero. The problem is still there. I see that the firmware version is 1.4. I can't find a line no longer updated. Any ideas? I'm pretty desperate...

  I tried, but there is no "Stereo mix" available options. There is only the (Conexant High Definition Audio) Microphone. It did not work. What I'll do is to buy a DVD for TV (tv Record program) burner and plug the hdmi cable from my computer to the DVD recorder and record what I want. After that, I just rip the audio from the file. I see no other option to do. I use windows vista Home premium.

  Thank you for your answer, but I wouldn't know a DV/AVI if it came up and bit me. How to set up a DV project? If I do, what should I do with it? Where and how should I put it somplace? How can I get that back in Adobe Elements 10? There has been none THAT for me. Thanks for any further help.  George

  To distill much of the information in the John T links:

  1. The DV project is selected in the new project and will be NTSC or PAL, depending on where you live. There is an option to create a Standard screen or 4:3 16:9 wide, depending on how the videos were shot. Choose Audio = PCM/WAV 48 kHz 16-bit.
  2. Your original projects, share personal computer and choose DV - AVI (AVI specialized w / CODEC DV/DVC) w / 48 KHz 16-bit Audio.
  3. Then, in your new project 'master', just import the DV - AVI files and drag them into the timeline, in the order you want.
  4. Set chapter markers and marker of Menu. Do not place a marker to stop at the end of your Timeline.
  5. Add any desired Menu sets.
  6. Overview and check this project.
  7. Share on DVD and choose burn to record, or burn them to disc. Note: Use only blank DVD media of high quality, such as Verbatim, Taiyo Yuden or Falcon Pro. Do not use Memorex, TDK, Ritek or any "store brand."

  I have a Portege M100 - and the CD-ROM drive does not work.

  Whenever I put a disc in I can just hear the motor turn the disc, but the computer is not picking up the drive. Device Manager picks up flawless.

  It doesn't seem to be any firmware for this sorting (or am I wrong).

  I've seen a DVD player for a M400 on ebay and I was wondering if that would take on my M100.

  Before buying it, I was wondering if anyone knew if it would be compatible. It seems to be OK size wise, but I was wondering if my Portege M100 XP would be able to use it.

  According to the paper manuals s user for Portege M100 two drivers of optical discs are compatible with your Portege M100L:
  TOSHIBA SD-C2612
  TEAC DW-224TH

  So if you want to have good player get one of them.

• Satellite A200 - need driver for CD/DVD drive

  Hey people.

  Recently installed WXP Pro on my laptop A200 PSAEC, so I'm now in dual boot XP and Vista on my laptop.

  Problem is that I have all the drivers doesn't work on XP and everything works perfectly, but when I tried to burn a DVD, Nero said the recorder cannot burn DVDs. In 'My Computer', the drive shows up as a DVD - RW drive, but when I insert a blank DVD, it says CD drive. The drive shows up as "TCSDcor" CD/DVGW TC - L6 #2D "" in Device Manager. I searched a driver, but it is impossible to find an exact match for this drive and there is no driver optical drive on this section of driver from the Toshiba site. The only thing I found is an executable file of the firmware upgrade, but it throws an error saying that it is the wrong drive.

  Anyone got any ideas?

  Hello

  You don't need a new driver for CD/DVD drive because it s a part of the operating system. So, you won't find one.

  I think you should try to remove the upper and lower filters in the registry. I did the same thing a few days ago, if I also had problems with my CD/DVD player and it worked for me! :)

  External power supply can be plugged in most of the time... mine is.  Cannot overload unless the magsafe circuitry breaks.  Just use it on battery power up to 30% once or twice a month.

  Brightness on internal display 0 records the burn-in screen... should not be a problem.  You could be full-light all day and yet it takes years before the internal display has problems.

• PES 10 can't change read-only groups layer (aka I want to just make a custom in the elements DVD menu)

  A little history: I wanted to make a custom menu, so I opened a copy of one of the menu canned. In PS Elements 10 PSD files.  It opened with all the layers and their showing sublayers.  So far so good.  I made a lot of editting and had my menu pretty much right, recorded and burned a DVD with it.  I saw a few corrections that I need to do so I opened the same. PSD file and it showed all main layers (with the folder icon) but not the attached layers.

  I double-clicked to open these layers and got:

  "You try to open a group, which is not supported in Photoshop Elements.  The layers in this group will be simplified in a single layer.  Simplify the layers? Yes No. »

  I just change these things yesterday.  Everything I've done since then is save my software online. I saw that it said in this forum that "Elements doesn't support layer group/sets' but she was referring to an earlier version, I guess.

  Question 1: Is it always true PES 10?

  I admit, he is a stupid question that probably answered a million times. But I have not found the answer. I have video clips that I want to put them on DVD and I would like Premiere Elements automatically locate the individual clips and make a menu. Is this possible?   As I understand it, it's basically how pre works with DVD authoring (the process of making Menus and navigation for a DVD).

  What you need to do, and you probably already know this, but go on, just in case, are to import your Clips into a project. The project must match your Clips source 100%.

  Do drag each item to the timeline and modify, as necessary.

  When you are finished, choose the Menu set (contains the main Menu and scene selection Menu), and then set your Menu marks and your chapter markers.

  Preview.

  Burn to record, or burn to disc. Pre will connect repel your chapters (these values are set but you want) to the chapters in the scene selection Menu, and you're done.

  For examle in areca manual, I found that not all readers are compatible, some can make problems (I have no experience)

  Very good new because this gives you plenty of options. With a BR burner installed you have 9 bays 5.25 "left.

  It is to install 3 cages SuperMicro (you don't need to install them all at the same time, but nice for the future) to add up to 15 drives 3.25 "in hot swappable bays. Or you can choose to use two cages SuperMicro for 10 discs 3.25 "and add 3 Addonics cages for a 12 2.5" additional disks.

  Lots of choices here and you is not really limited by your business. You may be in terms of cooling, however.

  C: Velociraptor for OS & programs

  D: 3 x Velociraptor in raid 5 on the mobo for the file exchange, media cache, this preview as you intend

  E: initially 4 or 5 drives (1 or 2 TB, up to you) in raid 3 for media

  RAID controller: Areca ARC-1680 iX-12 with 2 GB of cache ECC and BBM.

  I suggest the version 12 in version 8, because he has the ability to extend the default cache 256 MB up to 4 GB, although one wonders if anything more than 2 GB is interesting, given the price difference between the 2 and 4 G sticks.
