Record results of Windows 7 Explorer
When I search a file on my computer, I get results that include files and folders. If I double-click on a folder, it opens the folder, but I lose the context where the folder is located. In windows XP, the address bar would display the current location of the folder. Now, he said only: "search results in...» "and if I click on the address bar I get unwanted URL-coded. So my question.
Is there a way either:
(1) at the current location of the file always appear in the address bar?, or
(2) have automatically navigate to the location of the folder in the folders on the left pane?
I have my settings file set to "Automatically expand to current folder" and "display the full path in the title bar." None of these work.
I don't know how to make only one click is needed, but if you right click on any file to search results or a folder, you can choose "open file location" (or open folder location) in the menu that appears, so I think that what you want is feasible in two clicks anyway.

Game type "not specified" remove the Windows 7 Explorer game.
I've seen several forums around this subject, but none of them does not solve my problem. I have a file in my Games Explorer classified as a type of file "not specified." I went through several records, including "C:/users / AppData/local/Microsoft/Windows/Game Explorer
' and 'C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\GameExplorer' that do not contain the file I want to delete. Nothing comes up when I right click on icon, either. I found a forum with a link which has been said to have the solution, but the page just says "Service unavailable" page was:
http://www.SevenForums.com/tutorials/42496-Games-Explorer-folder-delete-game.html
If anyone happens to recognize this URL, it would be great if you could tell me what he said, except that I'm open to suggestions on other ways to get rid of this icon.
System Restore solved the problem, I just had to try several times until I got just restore point where the icon has disappeared, but it didn't remove all the others either. Now the icons under the tabs of Internet Explore are all screwed up (icons wrong showing upwards to the wrong sites), but I suspect that will disappear in time, otherwise I can reinstall IE.
For those of you who read this message and to use steam, never, NEVER put a shortcut to one of the steam games in the Games Explorer. It won't work, it will take place.

The Windows 7 Explorer reads 4096 bytes of files with FILE_ATTRIBUTE_OFFLINE
Hi all!
After installation: Windows 7 as an SMB client. Plan sharing SMB like, say, Z: and use the Windows 7 Explorer to browse a directory in the share. It looks like Windows Explorer bed the first each file 4096 bytes, even files that have the FILE_ATTRIBUTE_OFFLINE set (these files have the attribute set "O").
My understanding of FILE_ATTRIBUTE_OFFLINE is that the file is not available immediately, for example, because it is stored in a hierarchical storage management system and read on this file may result in access to, say, bands. Of course, you don't want to trigger several tape media, just because you browse a directory.
So my question is: is it considered "working as intended" that Windows 7 Explorer reads the first 4096 bytes of each file (especially those who have defined FILE_ATTRIBUTE_OFFLINE) when I browse a directory (at least if I browse it for the first time) or should Explorer honor FILE_ATTRIBUTE_OFFLINE and not read these files?
If Explorer works as expected, is there a way to change this behavior?
Best regards, Dirk

Cannot play movies/recorded shows in Windows Media Center on Windows 7
Three years ago I bought a Sony laptop with Vista and an external tuner ATI so that with a CableCARD, I could use Windows Media Center to record shows/movies. I recently bought a new PC with Windows 7 and found that the Windows 7 PC cannot read the 500 films/shows that have been saved and the new Windows 7 recorded shows can be played by the Vista laptop. Is any way to convert or run natively these shows that have been saved under the WMC?

Hi RalphGreenlee,
Thanks for posting your query in Microsoft Community.
If I understand correctly, you are unable to play back movies recorded in windows media center.
Looks like the file cannot not supported by Media Center or you need a codec to right.
What type of video file format?
Also check the videos if there are other formats to the choice other than the one you have now.Method 1:
Step 1:
Indicate the file types supported by Windows Media Center:

Step 2:
Try using a good set of codecs and then try to burn video files.

When you try to record images to the picture library, I get the message: "" Windows Internet Explorer: an attempt was made to load a program with an incorrect format. "" I was able to record images before now without any problem. Thank you!
I tried your suggestions, but none seemed to fix my problems. I was advised to remove the picture library, and then restore that brought me success. Thanks for having me on the right path.

Whenever I want to hyperlink to an e-mail address of a Web site I get the following dialog box:
Windows Internet Explorer
Cannot perform this operation because the default mail client is not properly installed. It started only recently and from any Web site. How can I fix it?
Your post has nothing to do with Windows Update.
Unlike Windows XP and Vista, Win7 does not have a default email Client. [What were thinking?]
You will need to install a (e.g. MS Outlook;) Windows Live Mail; Oiseau-tonnerre) , and then set it as a default for mail in CUSTOM (<>) Set Program Access and defaults of the computer before any function article send to or MailTo will become available.
