  Hearing sessions exist for multitrack environments, not at all for editing waveform, which is destructive.

  Hearing stores audio markers in addition separate at the end of a wav file. There is a software called CueListTool that gives you options of manipulation that may well help you. As far as I know, it still works fine with the current version, even if it is quite old now.

When hearing software has been rewritten to be compatible with Macs as well as PC code for a large number of effects has been changed so that old AA 3 settings no longer works in the new CS or CC versions of Audition. I suspect that the only way to retrieve your belongings is to add in hearing CS6 and copy the settings * the eye of your AA 3 session manually. Or otherwise, you need to complete your old session in AA 3.

  I'll try to find a solution to this, but the main problem is that I waited so long for this rendering, and now I find myself with 4 files which were probably to be combined somehow to finish and converted my MP4 file. An AAFC 115 MB file is a file M4V 17.6 is, one is a 0 byte MP4 file and the other is a 12.2 GB file named 's4e8.1' (never heard of a "file 1" front). Have I seriously just waste all that time waiting for my rendering? Or is there a way I can use these files to complete my project?

  You can try to merge the AAFC and M4V in tools like the hand brake. The obscure temporary files are the session files that contain metadata and multiplexing info. In the future to use image sequences and / or made into several segments, and then assemble the video in a second pass.
